Wow, I really love this video and am so glad I found it in TH-cam's recommendations. I've been always more prone to watch the predators, the big cats, and antilopes in those videos are normally seen mauled or in big trouble. I'm in awe of the colours in the Oryx's face: those, together with that 'stern' shape of their head and those long horns, and they seem to be quite tall also; it's like some sort of egyptian god standing in front of you. So beautiful.
I have just seen your Part 1 and thought it was a one off only to come across this one which is just as impressive if not more so then the first video 👍🏾 I have been following Antelopes from a very young age, inspired by my own father’s interest and to this day hold a strong and keen interest, probably boring my own children in the process! I have never seen or heard such detail on antelopes other than what I have read in books or on flash cards but these videos capture another dimension of breathtaking beauty, renewed interest and intrigue. The way you explained the difference and similarities between the species is just perfect 👍🏾. Unfortunately, there are sooo many videos being posted and edited on You Tube about antelopes that are erroneous. Thank you for sharing the truth. I look forward to watching many more of your videos!
Thanks so much for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the episode so much. Antelope play an integral part within this ecosystem and are rightly very interesting and intriguing in their variety🙏❤️
Absolutely fantastic videos. Just what I was looking for, marvelous images and thorough explanation of the differences in niches, behavior, etc. Better than BBC Nature documentaries! If you can, please make more in-depth videos like these!
Thanks so much for the kind words🙏❤️🙏❤️ we are glad you enjoyed it and please go through our channel - we have many more videos that go in depth into specific species.
Очень приятно было увидеть белохвостого гну. Эту редкую и красивую антилопу почти никогда не показывают в фильмах об африканской природе, возможно, из-за очень ограниченного ареала.
Thanks a lot for another very informative video. As one commentator before I also have been interested in antelopes from a very young age. In my childhood it was very distressing for me to swatch an antelope get caught by a predator. In many documentaries antelopes are seen only as prey, though many of them have very interesting social life and survival tactics. There fore it was fascinating to learn more, for example, about black wildebeest. To be honest, I never thought so much about the function of their peculiar appearance. An adult eland bull is very impressive! Have you ever seen it running in full speed?
Thanks so much for your comment. It’s great to hear and we feel that every species has a pivotal role to play in a natural environment. As seen in the video that’s about as fast as an Eland runs - we are hoping to capture on film in the future how high they can jump which is really impressive.❤️
Glad you enjoying the content - and there is always something new to learn🤩. Unfortunately not, but hopefully we get good early summer rains which should start around October.
This can happen, but this usually occurs in smaller enclosed areas and due to habit loss and fragmentation- historically natural hybridisation was rare as there was plenty of space for these species to roam without being forced to intermingle. Shamwari is only home to Black wildebeest as they are endemic to this region unlike the Blue wildebeest.
@@ShamwariTV I was amazed to see a subspecies of the wildebeest...they look similar but the horn structure stands out....btw great explanation on wildlife
really glad to see videos on antelopes that isnt only talking about their relationship with predators
Glad you enjoyed it. They are an integral part of the ecosystem and without them there be no cycle of nature❤️🙏
I really appreciate the service you provide the land. Thank you!
Wow... !!! My best friend, Loved this video. Looking forward to see more. Awesome... Full watched.

I love the Nyala antelope. It is actually named after Ferdinand Omanyala, a legendary sprinter from Kenya.
Beautiful video! Lovely explantions for each species

Nature is unbelivably imperfectly precise and yet beutiful
❤️❤️
I loooooove Elands❤
Beautiful animals
They truly are❤️👍
Love the Antelope ❤
The body of that black wildebeest looks more like a horse than an antelope. But the head,... well, the head looks made up for some sci-fi fantasy art!
They are quite odd looking antelope❤️
Wonderful as always, thanks
Hi Rocky. Always a pleasure and glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the continued support and kind comments🙏❤️
Gemsbok is very beautyful

Glad you are enjoying them and thanks for the support❤️🙏
I learned lots, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it❤️🙏
Thank you Shamwari TV i am learning alot about the reserve after my visit recently.
Is there any rain forecast for your area?
Glad you enjoying the content - and there is always something new to learn🤩. Unfortunately not, but hopefully we get good early summer rains which should start around October.
@@ShamwariTV oh no only in October that is so sad as the river is so dry. I love the content. I have subscribed to the channel.
There is no Thompson's gazelle in South Africa right?
Hi. They are not indigenous to this area no - mostly found in Eastern Africa.
Game reserve always sounds wrong to me, but in this world money rules...
Do hybrids happens between the 2 species of wildebeest

For all the years ive bn watching animal documentaries I've never seen a black wildebeest
Glad you have now❤️

My point of view black wilderbeast the most beautiful and unique
They are very unique❤️
Wildebeest are not antelope.
Yes they are.
Beautiful animals
