Amazing song by Jerry Goldsmith. Rest in Peace Mr Goldsmith. Rambo- Sylvester Stallone is my favourite actor of all time. You will always be my favourite actor. I watched your movies from a young age and every movie of Rambo is incredible. ❤
really the best way we can go about action movies, ppl might critique them for being mindless and whatnot, but i just watched the three rambo movies recently and i would 100% pay the ticket fee to watch them if they were in the cinemas and i would watch them again, they're very entertaining, and that's what movies are also meant to be. If you make a very enjoyable movie, you've done something right, whatever critics might claim.
The music of freedom... Mankind must wake up to what is happening here on earth... A change.dee mankind must come..Rambo always stood up for justice..For a better world..John J!💯👌
@@TorontoWireIt shouldn't have to be that way. This happened way before the Taliban took power. The leader of the rebels, Massoud also fought against the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
@@TorontoWire Yeah, it's sensationally dumb in the light of what those Afghan fundamentalists helped by Rambo here ended up doing to their country, their own people and the free world on taking power. But I call it a guilty pleasure because it's such a tour de force at the level of music, stunts and spectacle- even character for Rambo. I sure am glad there was a Rambo 4, however, which at last put Rambo back in the fight for good and gave him a win, and an honourable walk to his father's house at the very end.
That first 2 minutes of "Preparations" is fabulous ! The power "punches" (for want of a better term) mixed with the beautiful Eastern/Oriental chords and flourishes ....I could get out of bed and get dressed to this accompaniment !! Another Time is a wonderfully moving piece , I think this pairs nicely with the similarly gorgeous "Stories" cue from the second film.
Another three weeks have passed and we will now take a listen to Jerry Goldsmith’s final contribution to the Rambo series. Where “Rambo III” is considered to be the weakest of the original three movies (Stallone even won a Razzie award for his performance), due to lack of an interesting storyline that keeps not really developing and the audience involved, it is still working for many. Although it features some nice shots and sequences, it just doesn’t feel as dedicated as its predecessors but when you compare it to the styles of more current action movies, you could say it did a pretty good job. What really doesn’t disappoint is Jerry Goldsmith’s music. Although here and there one gets the feeling that the score is not as intense and striking as in the previous movies, it feels indeed dedicated and it also is responsible for reminding us that we are watching an entertaining Rambo movie. Enjoy!
Sorry but Rambo 2 and Rambo 3 are by far the best then its 1,4,5. Rambo 2 had everything where Rambo 3 had the badass cave fights, stick fights, horse against helicopter fights. Rambo 3 forever.
idk why ppl are so conflicted about this movie, clearly the first one is seen by many critics as the most serious film. I mean how r u gonna say that Rambo 2 and Rambo 3 aren't on the same level as action and sometimes silly plot or contrivances. I mean they're action films and the action is good, i don't think Rambo 3 is any 'worse', its on the same level as kind of mindless action movies of the 80s. I mean the backdrop is just as cool (although def more controversial) and the characters just as cheesy or stereotypical as Rambo 2. I don't think anyone's watching the rambo sequels for very serious heartfelt drama.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for putting all of these suites together of Goldsmith's Rambo music. It is some of my favorite film music and Goldsmith is definitely my favorite composer. Rambo III is my personal favorite of the Rambo sequels so this was very enjoyable to listen to. Thank you so much!
GOLDSMITH!!!! Ten out of ten Morlocks approve! Yeah, Rambo III could have been better but hey we're not watching Shakespeare here. Once again Goldsmith shines. I am especially enamored by "Questions", a lovely little piece that suddenly turns ominous with the next passage "Night Entry". Happy Friday, Fred.
Thanks for posting. Rambo is definitely near and dear and one aspect of it is definitely the music from the first three. As soon as this fires up you can instantly see Rambo on that boat with the kid prepping for the fight. Loved this movie and always thought it was a good next step in the franchise. But I can't help but wonder what it could've been like if they had pulled off the original vision of a Lawrence of Arabia-esque epic. Maybe then we would've seen that knife-wing attachment thing. David Morrell said he wrote a script too and set it in South America with Rambo fighting his way through the jungle to rescue Trautman's wife and daughter from a terrorist hideout. Said the ending had the wife fighting alongside Rambo and the studio wasn't into it. Morrell felt if the second Terminator movie had come out before this, they would've been more down thanks to Linda Hamilton's bad-ass performance. Apparently Sigourney Weaver in 'Aliens' wasn't enough to convince them women can fight. All ancient history now but what could've been!
Still my favorite of the original 3 Rambo movies. This one just feels like John at his peak condition after taking care of his inner demons in Nam. All the action sequences are intense, especially that final battle. Last thing to note is this movie gave me a profound respect for helicopters. You really get a sense that the vehicle is just as much the main bad guy as the Russian who pilots it.
Good upload - one of the great things about Goldsmith is he always brings his best even when scoring such poor movies. I can listen to most any score of his and feel confident it'll be a good experience. The sign of a real professional.
There wasn't any Rambo in the real soviet afghan war...the real heroes was actually the soviets who went out from the Afghanistan after 10 long years of war...without being pushed by another country..pls realized that my friends..
Jerry elevated the character of Rambo, with this soundtrack. It builds.
He did indeed!
Yes he did
Easily the best Rambo soundtrack by a mile, so much emotion and suspense.
This music gets me pumpted up before I head to the Gym.
Yes indeed
I love all Rambo soundtracks but Rambo 3 is my favorite 👌💯
A beautiful girl likes Rambo soundtracks?! If you aren't already married, I am very interested in meeting you in person....

That's a great comment. It is exactly like that. Greetings.
When I listen to the music and close my eyes I can remember each scene.

Underrated rambo flick
Honestly what happened in real life kind of screwed this film up.

@@videowilliams inform yourself, those Mujahedeen in the film had nothing to do with the Taliban etc.
There has not been, nor will there ever be, a better composer on action and adventure themes.Simply unsurpassed.
The greatest action/suspense composer period..
