    At the end with Lilly LOL. She’s like, I’ve got one job and that’s to be a real pain in the ass with you, you understand me ? I don’t like having a computer on me (*cries by releasing huge steam show*) 🤣

    Really enjoyed the video, that wheel slip on Lilly was quite a sight, the engineer was really having a hard time with her. I also loved the being with Roger being brought out into the mainline. Also, is it me or does Lilly now have a brass eagle on top of her sand dome?

      @giladmarkman  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks, lilly does have an eagle. other engineers were better in starting her. also remember that there is a 2% grade at that spot and florida can get very rainy in the summer

    • @WASSUMAIER
      @WASSUMAIER 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know the 2% grade is harder for Lilly and Roy especially in the rainy weather. That eagle must be new because I don't think she had it when I last saw her in December. I was there in May also but Lilly wasn't running the day I went, only Roger and Roy.

      i saw all three slipping, even #3

      Disneyland now has a 2% percent grade on their new route, and it's VERY easy for those tiny engines to slip, even powerful engine 4. You need a good running start in Splash Mountain Tunnel and need to go At LEAST 10 feet per-second once you hit the first bridge on the new route or you WILL stall on the grade.

      planning a trip next summer when tender rides and hopefully engine 2 will be back. sounds like the challenge to go fast enough to get up the hill changes the entire DRR which used to be flat and easy(since the 2005 track replacement until 2016). also i am planning to film some let's plays of preston's DRR sim which is almost out. i think in one of them i'll try to see how quickly i can reach 10FPS with the Ripley at the worst conditions possible(he didn't add excursion to the sim so i think i'll use an extended holiday red for it) to see if i can make it up the grade

    The Lilly Belle is the best looking Baldwin I’ve ever seen. Wonder if they offer cab rides, but I don’t think that is likely at all.

    Can any explain why, at 2:13 , when the piston is moving forward the steam exits from the rear of the piston? i assumed if the piston was moving forward, that the steam would exit from the forward steam cock, since that portion of the piston is being evacuated?

    • @giladmarkman
      @giladmarkman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the higher pressure is at the rear of the piston. water is still being evacuated from the front. but both drains are on at the same time

    • @harrisonlong644
      @harrisonlong644 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@giladmarkman I understand now, the drain leads directly to the steam cylinder, so when the cylinder is being filled with steam, the drain will allow a small part of that steam to blow water out of the bottom of the cylinder. thanks.
