Wish I'd got to hang around there more lol. I'll definitely be returning as there's parts of the Isle I never got to visit or return back to for various reasons. It was strange leaving the island and I was only there 10 days lol.
Smidge works well and less toxic than other brands. Even resort to a head net at times when sat out photographing wildlife. They truly are a pain. Stay well and safe travels. All the best. 👍🐾🚐😎🏴
@RaymondoLeeTravel I bought some Smidge which does work, but you can't get it by your eyes and the feckers just got me there instead lol. They don't bother Karl either, he rarely gets bit by them!
Oh I so know what you mean Helen, I have been Eagan alive today by the midges whilst fitting a diesel heater, the more I was sweating in the sun the more they attacked, never knew they were this bad my arms are just lumps, I bet those seals were amazing 👊👍🚌🥰🏴
Oh no, what a nightmare. I had my hoodie up to my eyes at Lochranza and my hood on my head, but they got me around my eyes instead. Little barstools! Get some Smidge. It's about a tenner but it does work. I didn't put it on this day as I went spur of the moment, but it does help. I hate them so much. Watch out for the ticks too with Chancer. Wolfie got a couple crawling on him but he does have a tick treatment so they hadn't attached and I brushed them off outside with the boot brush.
@@roaminginraymond oh no I hadn’t thought about Ticks, will check him now, got some smidge now thanks, how do they get in places that are covered up, bar stools is polite lol, windy today so should be ok👊👍🏴🚌🥰
Thanks Mary. Those midges were rife! It's OK if there's a good breeze, but there wasn't any. It really is beautiful though and it wasn't that midge infested the last time we went. The damp air and dark skies gets them coming out to play unfortunately.
Wow Helen, that drive from Sannox to Lochranza looked amazing. Beautiful mountains might have needed a climb though! The castle looked fab. I dodnt see any midges 😂😂😂
You didn't see any midges! You can see them flying when I was on the bridge at Glen Sannox. At Lochranza I had my hood up and the front of my hoodie covering my face so only my eyes were visible. Unfortunately I got bit around my eyes and forehead. They were crawling all over the gimbal and in the front of my hair. I hate them so much, they should be extinct. But agree, that stretch of road is beautiful and you can get the ferry from Lochranza which is a "turn up and go" ferry. I'd like to do that next time I go there.
They were so gross, I hate them so much. I have Smidge but I wasn't actually planning to go there that day so didn't bother with it. They had a right feast courtesy of me lol.
wish i was single again we bought a 1998 peugeot elddis 6 berth so we have room to take our cats on holidays but wife never wants to go out in it ... if i was on my own would be more out in the motorhome than sitting at home ... were in wales but parents in scotland hopping to drive up there rather than take the train ....hope you keep safe girl xx xx
You need to try to persuade her to use it more. I'm married but the other half likes to venture out on his motorbike, so I go off in my little campervan. The freedom they give you is amazing. Going to Scotland in it would be great for you. We have loads of Scotland videos from our travels in the motorhome we actually live in. Try to persuade her, I'm sure she will love it once she's on the road, especially in Scotland. It's beautiful.

Scaffolding's gone at Lochranza! YAY!
Yes. We can see the seals.

Byyyyyyeeee
Ha ha, Martin said he couldn't see them! It was great the scaffolding had gone but unfortunately I didn't hang around lol. Byyyeeeee ❤️
Best place on Arran is Sannox. Loved it there and kept going back for a few days, at least 3 times in the 2 months i was on the Island
ATB 🙂🏴🚌🐕

I do have Smidge but I went spur of the moment so unfortunately hadn't put it on. Didn't know you photographed wildlife, I'd love to see.
@@roaminginraymond sent you a few pics on your email. 😎
I got bitten loads when i was over in Scotland. Your right it is stunning Scenery!
You must have tasty blood like me lol. It was beautiful where you went too.😊🏴
@roaminginraymond it was but I got absolutely Battered by those Midge like you say we must taste nice. SHELL hardly got any! 😆 🤣

@wanderingbychoice yeah, a good breeze will see them off! I find it's mainly the bracken for the ticks but not always.
@@roaminginraymond searched him and thankfully none, phew 🏴👊👊
@@wanderingbychoice that's good news then.
Its beautiful Helen, shame those midges spoil it. I wonder how the local people cope with them? Lovely video! x

@roaminginraymond Oh dear, I hope the bites went down pretty quickly 😬
@BentleyOnTour they were sore.😢
👍
😁
Still loving Arran, even with the SAF in full flight.

Such a shame about the midges because it looked absolutely amazing there and of course loved the castle.
It is a very beautiful island, but you couldn't stop at Lochranza cos as soon as you stopped walking they got you lol. They are vile, I have to say.

Hey Helen are there midges in dec ? Lol 😂 beautiful shots!!! Do you like doing Solo? 🇬🇧🇺🇸⚽️🏴🏴🐕🦺🐕🦺
No, none in December Kimberley lol. I enjoy travelling solo as there's no-one else to worry about a part from Wolfie.
@@roaminginraymond so glad you got wolfie, a cutie 🥰
He is a lovely boy and good company too.🐾💜
Beautiful place, no doubt time to go home now. I see Stephen has left.
My videos are behind so I'm with Stephen on the next one which was my last day on there. Yes, definitely a beautiful place Richard.
