M&Ps are verrrrry underrated. I have a 3.6" compact and a shield plus. A great value in the striker pistol class. I've owned Glocks, very good pistols but I've sold them to go with M&Ps.
I personally love smith and Wesson as a brand! They stand behind the American people’s 2a rights and their products! Not all of their products are perfect, but they are a company I proudly support! Knowing my $ goes too a good American company
I mean, the name may seem long, but I've introduced many to firearms and the whole Glocks being called random numbers confuses them. They don't know anything about the firearm from hearing "19, 27, 17, 23". But if I told them the name of a s&w m&p pistol, they'd be able to get an idea of what kind of gun it is just from the name. It's easy to say "oh well just do what Glock does" when you already know the models.
Yessir SPN now it’s time to throw a light on it and really deck it out how you have a few of your 26’s . I’d like to see how you feel about the comparison then.
I can't wait for your review after the range. I've been eyeing the M&P 2.0 series but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Love my G26 and I've been carrying it for many years now. I really want to try another but worried about one standing up to the durability and reliability of the 26. Great information as always.
Got this today for $429 from palmetto state armory . I LOVE it. I have lots of glocks but I got this instead of a Glock 26 because I wanted one with a safety and I got the FPC a few months back and it came with a 17 round mag and two 23 Round mags which are compatible with this gun AND it comes with a filler piece that allows you to have a full grip with those mags instead of just a long mag sticking out the G26. Which is also why I didn’t get the shield plus because these mags wouldn’t fit. Man I didn’t realize how versatile this thing was going to be until I bought it. I’m gonna have to make a video or something. I’m so stoked . Perfect EDC for me

It’s 2023, Glock should really develop an light rail for the subcompacts. If they do it for their mos models for the slimline and other manufacturers like S&W, H&K, SIG and others can make a Glock 26 sized firearm with a light rail then Glock should do it also. The tlr6 isn’t cutting it!
Those cardboard boxes goes up in value I have the M&P 9mm & 45 I have the 17 round mag and use those spacers Mine has s optic ready with the higher sights It cane with several plates to mount your optic
Follow-up question for you. I want to know other than my Glock 26 gen 4 I carry daily, what other make and model 9mm has the finish durable compared to or better than my 26? Love my 26 but I want to try another for EDC. Thanks!

M&Ps are nice, but I don’t think they’re nearly as customizable as a Glock. Glock you can get a P80 frame, whole different slide, slide release, etc. I don’t think the M&P slide lock/release is customizable
Yes this is the original. It’s the hinge trigger, it does have a safety. A manual safety is the one you flip on and off with your thumb. This has the hinge trigger which has a safety it just works differently
I have this S&W M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" Sub-Compact with the frame-mounted ambidextrous manual thumb safety (AMTS, which I love). The whole M&P M2.0 line has great ergonomics. The grip texturing is near perfection. The steel three-dot combat-style contrast sights are quite good. Every one of them has either a two-slot or three-slot 1913-style Picatinny rail. Their prices are spot on. To top it all off, the whole S&W M&P M2.0 line of pistols are just so easy to shoot really well. Oh yes, and they're made here in the USA by American labor and an iconic American company. I've added AmeriGlo steel three-dot combat-style tritium night sights and an aluminum alloy Apex Tactical Duty-Carry trigger to my 3.6" Sub-Compact pistol. I like and enjoy shooting this pistol so much that it has permanently retired my old Glock 26 Gen4. This is my new warm weather conceal CCW EDC weapon of choice, having replaced my G26 G4. Glock can learn a lot from this S&W M&P M2.0 line of pistols. Good things! 👍
Honestly the most simple thing could do in 2 seconds is a 1 slot rail. Like smh. I love my Glock 26 but it’s pretty dumb how you don’t even have the option for a light. (Without aftermarket)
@@jlinka79 you missed the point of this comment. The fact the Tlr 6 is an aftermarket solution to something Glock can just put on the gun is the issue.
Yes agreed with all of that. It’s just the fact they don’t give us that option is what makes it so ridiculous. It would be so easy for them to put a one slot rail on there.
My only complaint about the m&p texture is that it’s too aggressive out of the box. It was tearing up skin and shirts. But the 2.0 compact was a great gun, every bit as reliable as a Glock 19. I’m sure the subcompact would be just as reliable.
I think it's a cool little firearm. my first shots as a 9 year old were with a sw 357.. revolver..I think a 5 or 6 inch barrel..a very solid gun..ever since then..smith Wesson won me over..but I don't own any..lol. The p 80 26 is coming around. Little adjustments.. reason why I keep at this 26..it's super accurate.. it means everything..be safe..

The manual safety is cool if you use a minimalist stype holster that just grabs the trigger guard so you can safely reholster it. Severely underrated
You can remove the safety and replace it with a plug. You just message S&W for the plug. Also S&W has 24 round magazines for the 2.0's.

I went back to S&W after some time with the Gen 5 Glocks. I prefer the aggressive texture and grip angle more.
