I love when a mod wants to be "immersive" and "semi-realistic" and does so by making a dog-sized crab able to tank fifty hits from a hammer that probably weighs the same as said mudcrab.
aye like i hope is just mods not playing nice with each other but than i remember upisnotjump talking about a certain skyrim mod that did the same thing with mudcrabs so i guess some people just find this fun?
Im pretty sure he's playing Librum. Which is the best modpack for me. He also for some reason isnt using his starter perks which let his weapons and armor work. So really this is literally a skill issue. EDIT: I recind this. Its not Librum, but it is Requiem still which makes it basically the same so, still a skill issue.
I dunno about the modpack itself, but you can definitely get whooped by a mudcrab in base Requiem. It's not a 30 minute ordeal if you know what you're doing, but underestimate the mudcrab and you will at best find yourself limping away to the nearest Inn and at worst find yourself face first in the mud.
"Pay 624 gold to enter the city" ah I see... the LORE ACCURATE khajiit experience. If he had been playing an orc they would burn down his home as well.
Tomato makes this really fun to watch but this modpack seems like the most un-fun thing to actually play that Ive ever seen lmao. I don't know how he does it
Yeah, conceptually it seems like a cool idea. But in practice the fact that everything is so tanky combined with the horrible stamina system would ruin it very quickly.
Tomato just followed his dream : he always wanted to be a mudcrap farmer. like his Idol,Bubba Gump, he always dreamed off a mudcrap fleet. 11.11.2011,when skyrim shipped ,Todd howard gave young tomato a purpose, kill the mudcraps and sell them for exp in the bethesda paid mod mines. "tomato Gumps mudcrap fishery" has always been his dream
There's basically two explanations for this modpack; A) It's just trash and meant for weirdos who want "realism" or B) Tomato missed some very key mod feature and has gimped himself in some way
I hate these "realism" mods where a 400-pound neckbeard who can't wave his hand without gasping for air makes a mod for a video game to be more like real life and it turns out their view of realism may be skewed.
from what ive deduced from other comments its funnily enough both. apparently he’s not using armor and weapons properly but the modpack is also just complete bullshit.
Gotta love all these "realism" modpacks that tune the wild life to a degree at which all humanoid races should be extinct and a full adult player character has the stats equivalent to a nobleman's child that's never lifted more then 5 kilos at once
I dont even think this one is a realism pack. Theres no hunger, and I dont think it had frostfall either. Its just either horribly balanced, or it broke somehow
Ok, i get making things more deadly and having consequences but turning a fight with a mudcrab into a 30 min affiair seems insane might as well play on legendary.
The commitment to having the most fucked-up face carrying through on every character really sells the idea that Tomato's just an eldritch entity that possesses random Skyrim denizens, warping their features into an expression of intense, unending agony and forcing them to commit inexplicable acts of folly and unforgivable crimes of all kinds over and over, in a frenzied search for "expee" and other illicit substances... Good thing that eldritch spirit is so weak it can barely face down a crab, or else they'd have much bigger issues than Alduin.
I don't think he balanced this one, it's a pre-made modpack that he made only a few minor adjustments to, like re-adding the day counter and removing the no-pause menus thing. However, that still means _someone_ out there made this modpack, "balanced" it, and thought it would be fun. In what world is losing your weapon for a full minute, which also automatically depletes your stamina so you can't even run away and escape, fun?
"Realism" mods. Because apparently, when a 400-pound neckbeard who can't wave his hand without gasping for air makes a mod for a video game to be more like real life, their view of realism may be skewed.
