That main tree has come so far with you scaring the trunk and now that you have started doing the same to some of the younger ones they are looking great too. I definitely will start to implement this technique on my jades during the next growing season.
I can only echo previous comments, but Nigel... you really are creating some very awesome compositions. I really hope I can make it to the show and view this planting in person. Cheers and thank you!
Vey convincing composition! When you worked on the landscapes of the Chinese Village planting and then this one here, I wondered if lines would look good in the sandy parts that represents water. Just like the lines in a Zen-Temple's garden. I wonder if it could by a nice little extra detail. I hope the new pot for the Baobab style planting turned out well!
I liked the Range Rover in the landscape. But that’s probably better for greenhouse display and videos. You’re right, absolutely does not need it for the show.
You can buy minature rice fields from temu all seasons colour some look like African style grass other look like green grass would really make a bonsai landscape look a lil more realistic
You just lucky , i was chilling in the back Watching Bonsai with a snack I know.. I know.. i was to slow ,but here i go , with the flow ,maybe yes , maybe no I will try again.. tommorow , Bro !
The main tree in this planting looks like the most massive tiny tree on the planet!
Nigel. You are a true Master in the art of Penjing!

Another beautiful Penjing. That main tree is very special. The trunk scaring technique really paid off. Thanks, keep growing
The perspective on this planting is just immaculate
Another very unique creation. Thanks for sharing. 👩🏻🌾🪴
I am happy the spoon works for you.
Oh my goodness! This main tree and this planting as a whole has evolved so much! Love it!
Nice, Dear Nigel nice!🕉🕉
This forest looks amazing and I'm sure it's more than good enough for the show!
Looking good Nigel! I love the recurring theme song for this planting. Perhaps you can have it playing on a small speaker at the show?! 😂
I just love these trees. So rewarding to grow into bonsai.
Looking really awesome Nigel ! The smaller trees are really starting to look like older trees now.
Really cool
Phenomenal, like all of your landscapes Nigel. Very detailed and very natural looking.
Thank you, Nigel.

Done a beautiful job !
I think you should clean some of the green from your rocks. Especially at the front where the lighter sand is
New to the channel so can someone explain the scaring technique. His forest amazed me!
Trees, moss and sand are good, but the cement in bigger rocks it’s too much visible. Maybe you can use some moss or sand to cover it.
One day i will have a nice port i have one that is two years into training.
I have to trim mine like once a month it grows so fast down here in the south.
