Hi, & your right (except only there mutch more good classical composers out there) but, not as sad as this so definitely on my top 2-3 list of sad songs alongside with avo pärt.
I am a very special man cuz of know this song. Its different feel i cant explain when i listen this i am living the song and going another world. If u know you know
This music, the introduction, all brought tears to my eyes. Her voice is beautiful, powerful yet eerily haunting. I'll pray 🙏 a rosary for the souls of all.
@@jongerrie5536 and how brave souls surived the inhuman pain of the holocaust and brought war crimes to justice face to face deep respect how surived the camps
Soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian and the FIRST EVER symphony or any music at ALL allowed inside Auschwitz which is where the writing was etched in Poland in one of the thousands of death camps that are not known so well. To my ear and soul... No other soprano can come even CLOSE to what SHE; a gift from GOD, gives to us🙏 TO FEEL. THIS HELL WHICH STILL LACKED THE STRENGTH TO BREAK LOVE OR HOPE. NO EVIL SHALL EVER PREVAIL, AMEN 🙏❤
I first heard this in the 90s...WNYC New Sounds...blown away, so very beautiful...our CD had Dawn Upshaw as the soprano but this woman's voice hits thru my soul 💖🙏🌹💕
It is a comparison ..now...of us all to think deeply about where we are all going....those people's whom suffered beyond ….maybe "Martyrs"....Henryk Gorecki….has truly captured a sorrow....others ..have given .."flowers"....
As someone who has been to Auschwitz 4 times, this piece of music really sums up the desparation and despair of the place as it must have been during the time it was in operation. 😭😭😭😭😭
As a grown man I honestly was moved so much this is the story of a little 8 year old girl in a prison in Berlin to which she wrote a prayer on the wall.
Actually, it was an 18 year old girl in a Gestapo prison in Poland, near the (then) Czechoslovakian border. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helena_B%C5%82a%C5%BCusiak%C3%B3wna
We all thought "never again",yet the history repeats itself over and over again There is evil in human souls and as long as it's rooted there the world won't change.
Jainkoak bedeinka zaitzala giza tristuraren ozeano batean itxaropenaren definizioa entzuteagatik. Ez sinetsi inoiz Jainkoak ez duela negarrik egiten. Jakin ezazu beti itxaropena eta maitasuna nagusi izango direla maiteak.
This should make us remember that EVIL exists in this world and it must be destroyed and those that are apathetic to that fact will suffer from the same horrors.
I don't know why this video keeps being removed but it needs to be known this is the first time any music or people have been allowed to perform inside Auschwitz which is where the writing was etched... This symphony and this movement finishing the songs of sorrow take place INSIDE Auschwitz.
@cyurisich It relates in that we still do this kind of thing to people, like Gitmo and Abu Graib and numerous other torture chambers and death camps we use. Extraordinary Rendition is but a euphemism for hidden death camps. The APA (American Psychological Association) is involved as well. We do not win the war if we adopt the policies of our enemies. While we R reminded of WWII we continue doing the same thing. Action is needed to stop this from happeninbg not just remembering.
Please do do not compare Gitmo or Abu Graib to the horrors of what was done in the Nazi death camps. Shame to you for cheapening the real horror and the evil endured there. You're dispicable.
@@freeclimb5487 Who cares what you think. Abu Graib and Gitmo are not comparable in only one respect the extreme to which things have gotten worse. Auschwitz and Birkenau were obviously far worse. What I see are the fascist conditions by which things could get as bad as the Nazis Death camps. All the signs are there and it is more than a slippery slope scenario. By the way many corporations from the US were invested in the death camps for really cheap labor so it makes our profiteers part of the blame already for the death camps as we (our corporatocracy and banksters) were involved throughout the war. Shame on you too.
The best version ever and most haunting.
Haunting. Probably one of the most powerful, beautiful pieces of music ever written and beautifully sung. Thought provoking
I've been looking for this video for ages!!! It had been deleted. THANK U SO MUCH for posting this rendition. It's my favorite! ❤❤❤
29 December 2023 . I first heard this beautiful music 6 years ago . I’m still crying. 🇬🇧🇧🇸
Men are supposed to be tough. Not after this... I can only imagine with Ms. Frank was feeling... and I cry every time.. Every single time
For those of you unfamiliar with this piece of music..believe me when I tell you that it is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL music EVER COMPOSED. 🌹🌹🌹

I've never been moved by a piece of music so much in my life. I hope all these souls are at peace now ❤
I hope so too.
What pain these poor souls encountered.
It is beyond my comprehension as a person who values life.
Do you know the story behind the song?
She, author of the words, survived.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. Make that 6 now.
The bright cell window, it had a light of death, could see Hitler's scornful monster's face glaring behind it.
Pakochile: Did you make this video? Don't U think something this significant should be seen & heard?
consummate art: in endless time, in endless love; קדיש שלם
@tomestubbs cool story bro. not sure what that has to do with anything at all, but yeah, cool story.
Look it up. It is written in history, but not the idiotic propaganda history that you have been indoctrinated.
They R just oblivious to this. They have no sense of history or what this means! Empathy is a rare commodity anymore.
