Mandated Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect

Tom Torlakson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction of the California Department of Education and Greg Rose, Director of Children & Family Services in the California Department of Social Services introduce the mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect. By law, teachers, administrators and other school employees have a duty to report suspected abuse and neglect to the appropriate authorities to ensure the well-being and safety of all students.
