Beautiful work, Charlie! I'm a 74 year old great grandmother and have always wanted to turn wood!!! So happy you have this opportunity at such a young age. You're going to be a master!!
Charlie this is one awesome looking bowl I really love the milliput. I have said it before your dad would need to watch out or you will knock him off the no.1, spot your turning is incredible 👏 👍👍👍
That is a beautiful bowl. Your confidence as a turner has really grown. It is so good to see young people like you have an interest in woodworking. It is an old and noble craft.
Sometimes less is more . 🤣 I like all the weird and funky projects with tons of extras and lots of materials that your dad makes, that is his speciality. But I also like your projects: simple pieces without tons of extras and still georgeous! - Your speciality. 😎👍🏻
Another good job . We are sharing your posts with the kids in our family to give them the incentive to use their talents , not be afraid of making mistakes , and using power tools . Thanks for being a good example .
Wow, Charlie --- the depth of this bowl/tray is perfect for so many things. I would love to see you and your dad do a few more bowls/trays like this. Great looking milliput lines added an extra "something" to it, also. Thank you for sharing. (I'm really glad I found this project.) 👍
I came over here from a recommendation from Nick Zammeti. I'm glad I did! It's great to see you pursuing your passion at such a young age! Keep up the good work!
I believe he said there would be links in the description. Maybe that would help you locate some. I've seen loads of uses on TH-cam from inlay in turnings to sculpting like modeling clay, to sculpting like with small carving like tools and power carving (like with a dremel/rotory tool). It is a versatile product.
While I am glad you liked his use of the milliput, wood turners have been inlaying their turnings for quite some time with it. There are videos all over TH-cam with some really very beautiful projects and some I really didn't care for. Charlie did a very nice clean inlay, with no apparent bleed between the colors, and minimal chipout (i only saw what appeared to be one tiny little chip in the black, (but that could have been a trick of light reflection). Really a very well done job, Charlie.
Looking good, Charlie. As others have said, you are getting better and better at your delivery. A question and a suggestion now. If there were any voids in the milliput, could you have mixed up some more, smashed it in so it would be undetectable? My suggestion is about when you toss materials on to the worktable. I think that's more of your dad's thing. Maybe you could come up with another way to introduce the materials; something that is your own.
Charlie, you are fast becoming an epic artist. Congratulations on another wonderful video. It was great to watch you work and see how excited you become when your project is coming along perfectly. My hat is off to you! Congratulations 👏 👍👍👍
Wow Charlie that turned out so beautiful. Your choices of colors in the Milliput work really well together and accents awesomely. Job well done, especially for your first time. Love it.
Great work, Milliput is really handy for making tools or fixing stuff too. Use a little water to soften the outside layer as you work it to help blend it before it cures. I hadn't seen the turquoise milliput before despite using it for years :)
You are adorable and about the coolest kid in the entire world I am hoping my kids will get into similar things once they are a little older you are such an inspiration to young kids all over the world! Keep up the awesome work kiddo!
👍very nice bowl Charlie! Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you do more projects ! I first use the wood lathe at 14 years old! It’s fun to make beautiful objects.
