Holy Percussive Maintenance Batman! I can't believe that actually worked! I massaged and smacked my phone while it was open and sure enough the main screen blinked while I was smacking it. When I forced restarted it again it came right online. Who knew Folds were so kinky😉
My Fold 4 was stuck between the ATT logo and the Samsung logo. After about 10 minutes, it would give me the Android recovery window. I didn't really want to mess with any of those options and i'm happy to say after the double finger tapping method, and subsequent hard restart, my phone powered up! Thank you very much!!
Came back here to say a big thank you. I couldn't get into my Galaxy A5 it would go no further than my home screen. Tried everything then came here & went thru all the steps u suggested. Finally put the phone in the freezer waited 15min took it out let it return to a normal temperature & BINGO. 👏👏👏

The reason is simple, In march, they sent an update that caused problems in tablet mode. This is so easy. There is nothing more to do here that is just close to your phone and power off and back on. That is the fix. Do your update with the phone closed. I followed all these directions 5 times, and each time, I had to go to verizon. They fixed it and I came home. By accident today, I found the answer. I closed the phone because I was about to throw it and as soon as it closed the word phablet hit me between the eyes. I left the phone closed and powered off and back on as perfect as can be. Thank you for your video because yours was the only one on here that actually addresses something. Verizon said it is great you have insurance. I wanted to whack him because a $300 copay is not something to celebrate. However, for this one just close the phone.

After taking it out of the freezer, I tried twice to reset it, then remembered reading your comment. I closed it and reset it, and it went past the boot screen. Again, many thanks.

@MyzTiny I stopped by verizon, and a guy whispered to me that in June, your replacement insurance will drop to $100. So, as soon as it did, I got mine replaced. He also told me that this was a widespread issue with a grouping of zfolds and flips made within a certain window A chipset was temporally unavailable so they used a chip that worked from a previous version and it could not support this massive update. They should have done a recall, and no money should have been exchanged because this was a them problem not an us problem.

great advice but unfortunatly didnt work for me. mine doesnt boot loop though, it gets stuck on boot. front and inside screen get logo, then front screen goes black and internal screen keeps logo. just sits there and does nothing and gets hot. occassionally with persaverence it will get past boot and turn on...
it is too long ago i guess but you need to close your phone and do the hard reset

This is amazing, phone didnt wanna startup when doing an update. The tapping all over the phone helped luckily,.. have had the startup screen on for about 10 hours.. you made my day sir!
Hi Richard so your phone was off for 10 hrs did it get hot? Mine was hot and it started from the updates did your's?
@@deannajackson8866 yeah it did, it felt warm to the touch, like it was busy doing something.. it started when updating , it was just stuck on the startup screen for like 10 hours.. but after tapping the phone all over it continued starting up and configured all the apps for the update.. i had already forced it off and on a couple off times every time ending at the startup screen..

It worked for me. had to press all over the phone and it worked finally. No more boot loop
Let me suggest removing wedding band/rings/jewelry first.. It worked out here, in the vid, but slapping the screen with a ring on can turn a behavioral issue, into a new screen replacement one. 🤔

Well nothing was working. Stuck in rooboot loop after a software update. Re booted phone open, phone closed, Massage it , tapping it, hitting it. thought about getting a hammer as I couldnt even get to the factory reset menu . The phone was hot in my hand so I take it the battery was overheating. Put it in the freezer for 20 mins and hey presto , I rebooted it again and it started working.
Thank you for this advice. Saved me a fortune in repair biils or having to get another phone.

Mine it's keeping turned off everytimes I closing the phone..and I got to pressing volume and power button at the same time to restart...anyone have the same issue with me?
Mine isn't in a boot loop, it just restarts whenever I open the big screen, after 5 to 30 seconds using the big screen normally, it crashes and restarts :(
Just started randomly doing that yesterday, after a week of maybe unrelated issue where bluetooth wouldn't work with my buds or headphones or speaker

@@shinanoki3918 No, after the the bluetooth stopped working, the wifi stopped working, then the booting issue started, and then the phone just stopped turning on
This happened in the span of about a week. I ended up just buying a new zf3
Mine it's turn off by itself everytimes I close the phone..and I got to to do what his said pressing two buttons at the same time then it's restart again...but if don't close the phone it's won't turn off...
