He might not be classically trained but he can sing any song with ease even on high notes. And the feel he sings with, he gives his soul to the sing. That's the reason we connect with him. And i feel because Sonu Nigam is classically trained he gets into too much technicality that can sometimes ruin the mood of the song. And if you see the ease with which KK can sing high notes Sonu Nigam can't. There very few singers who sound the exactly same in low and high notes. If you hear KK sing even without music he sounds exactly the same as the song in the movie. If you really want to see his versatility you need listen to Main khud from unreleased movie paanch and there are so many underrated gems by KK.
