Finally there is one who actually use the scanners. I'm just tired watching videos that people scan a sculpture and say that this is a very good scanner and bye. THANK YOU MAN!
Would like to see you scan a car body with Laser and IR modes. Also an engine bay would be cool. I have the einstar which does well but the laser mode for depth would be really interesting to see!
Windows only for the moment? Is there a chance they are working on macOS support? Latest MBP or Mac Studio would be such perfect machines for 3D scanning
The lack of photogrammetry modes -- is the main difference, but moreover, the improved lasers, IR mode, and biggest of all -- the super compact size! The Freescan is definitely a better buy than the UE Pro for most applications :)
The only thing missing from the Freescan is a color camera -- it won't capture textures/color. However, there's a software coming soon........ which will take care of that..... we'll start talking about that in a few months, when it's available :)
This happens occasionally, we've noticed -- it hasn't seemed to have an effect on the scan data, but sometimes it's when there are multiple sized markers on the stage, and sometimes... well, sometimes we're not quite sure :) Definitely an interesting glitch, we leave it in there for transparency :)

Most definitely! Coming very soon!
"SOMETIMES size matters and you want it to be small!".... we just....hmm....gonna slide right over that huh...?

Nice review! What is the difference between the Freescan Combo and Freescan UE Pro? Any point in getting the UE Pro instead of the Combo?

It seems like this scanner is better than the HX.
Einstar lacks a lot
HX lacks a little
Freescan is complete for any task.
Correct?

But overall yes --
Einstar = hobbies
HX = fantastic
Freescan = even faster, better, smaller, more accurate HX with more modes :)
@@VisionMiner Given your comment, does the freescan combo now capture textures/color?
Se ve q es muy bueno o buenísimo Saludos
While scanning there are some floating markers visible.
Please check.
Otherwise the scanner is too good.

How much for this scanner?
www.visionminer.com/scanners -- the Freescan Combo is currently $16499 :)
scan the inside of a van
Like the last video we did with the HX? Same deal? th-cam.com/video/2wvNChE8MpA/w-d-xo.html
