Hi Beth, beautiful stitching on all the projects you showed. Love how The Pilgrim is looking. Good idea to concentrate on 24 WIPs for the rest of the year. I only have 7 regular WIPs and one that I pick up now and again which I really need to get back to picking up more regularly. Happy stitching 😊
@stitchysally I think I saw you have a new Flosstube up, I'll plan to try and watch this weekend Thanks. Hopefully, I can get some really good progress and a couple of finishes.
It is always a treat to see you have recorded another flosstube! Even with all that you have on your list of responsibilities, you manage to com and visit us.😊 Your progress on The Pilgrim is impressive! I think your progress there is impressive. About WIPS I am mindful that I started all of them because I truly wanted to see them on my walls. It is impossible to carry all of them to completion at the same time. I have decided to make one of them a daily stitch to completion. Only 100 stitches per day, but in a week’s time that is a lot of stitches forward. Seven weeks ago I picked up my Hannah Lancaster sampler (271 x 389 stitch count - a big girl for sure). Every day’s stitching doesn’t look like much, but it has grown considerably. That is my first stitching each day. After that I can stitch on anything I want at the moment. I also keep a written record of the numbers in my stitching calendar and total them at the end of the week. That has been helpful too. There is something about writing it down that makes me more committed. That way I am focusing on one thing, then doing whatever I choose with the rest of my time.😊
@jeanakimball5691 hi! Thanks so much for watching! I do track my stitching too, I keep an excel worksheet for tracking by month, and it does help to keep me accountable. I am narrowing down my projects for the remainder of the year, I think this will help with getting some real progress.
Great stitching projects all so pretty,I have about 18 WIPS and have a no buy year, so I can focus on finishing some whips have 3 finished.Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
I only have around 20 wips, so I can stitch them all fairly regularly. I do love seeing all of your many projects! I would love to see a punch needle and primitive stitcher flip thru.
@amyswihart7283 hi Amy, thanks! I think I will do those flip thrus. I'm glad I subscribed to Punch Needle and Primitive Stitching, they've got some terrific patterns.
Hi Beth, really love the variety of projects you work on - they are exactly all my taste. Even though I have many projects to start, I do try not to work on more than nine projects at a time and as one finishes, then I start a new one.
Enjoyed your video and seeing the WIPS. Home Sweet Home is awesome and the floss is gorgeous. I am working on Saga a Long Dog Sampler. Have just subscribed to your channel.
I love watching your floss tube. I have broken my wips up into the seasons. I had around 25 wips and ytd I have 10 finishes. I would like to see you do a flip thru of the punch needle magazine. I bought the Hobbit house out of the series.
@cheryldowd6916 thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoy my flosstubes!❤️. I don't have much in the way of Summer season stitching but I do love autumnal stitching, it's my favorite season.
Just found you! Quakers caught my attention. By the way, all of Jacob's pattern pdf's come with Pattern Keeper! And it's very nice to meet someone with more WIPS than me!
Welcome! Thanks so much for watching❤️. Lol, definitely have a lot of wips. For Modern Folk, I've been able to get some into pattern keeper, they were vertical patters. This Hime Sweet Home is horizontal and I haven't had any luck getting it into pattern keeper, maybe it's because it's older . It's okay though, I love his designs either way ❤️
Hi Beth! I like your idea of picking 24 WIPs to concentrate on for the rest of the year. I wish the best of luck picking out which ones those will be!!! My current active WIP list has 22 projects on it, but that is by no means all the WIPs I have - and I'm not going to go there!! How funny with the House series - you're favorites are the same as mine. I'm making decent progress on the Castle, haven't bought Santa's House or Barn House yet, but like them both. I wish you well with the unpacking, it's a fun/dreaded "chore"!
@debbybrandenburger2598 Hi Debby!! Thank you, I think I will do that but leave myself open to changes if I want. Not be strict with myself. The castle stitch is beautiful. Hope to see you on Zoom when you're feeling better.
I really love the Barn too for the house series. I have quite a few wips some are on time out because of fabric or dye lot change in floss, and need to go through all of it. Glad you are getting settled in with the move. I would love to see what is in Punch Needle, I have never bought it but thinking of trying punch needle.
So sorry your movers didn’t label boxes! Know that can be frustrating. Loved seeing your Long Dog Pilgrim! Have you ever thought of doing a Long Dog 1/1 on 25 count? As for your WIPS, if you pick the smaller pieces, you may be able to finish several of those in a year, knocking your WIP count down 😊
@@angelasawyer6714 hi! I'm planning on adding some smaller ones to the list...as soon as I can find them🙄. I think I do have one long dog on 25ct, I think it's You Belong to Me.
Oh Beth, I have about 30 W.I.I'd and its driving me crazy!!! I change my plans on them daily sometimes hourly!! LOL I would love to knock out at least half of them by end of year but.....there are so many new ones I want to start as well. I don't have any really big ones to do but still enough. I have pretty much said do what you feel like doing (with some boundaries). I love seeing all of your projects though and will enjoy seeing your progress on each and every one of them.
@@juliemcolgan1446 hi Julie, thanks! I'm going to try and keep it to 24 for the rest of the year, but also not beat myself up if something else really calls to me. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing your progress. I bet it's a good break from all the unpacking and sorting that comes from moving. I got a bit of a chuckle on your WIPS question. My cross stitch system is more limited than yours. I limit myself to just 10 WIPS at any time--although it's really, really tough to do so. There are so many projects I want to start. In fact, my favorite past time when not stitching is kitting up new projects. Anyway, my WIPs are of various sizes and stages of completion. I stitch on a 10-day rotation at the beginning of each year. In June, I look through my WIPs to see if any are getting close to a finish. I usually find 3 or 4 that can be completed soon, so I focus on them. Once they're complete, I go back to my 10-day rotation BUT I get to add new starts as well to get back to 10 WIPS. This year, I selected four WIPS--finished two in June and will finish the other two in July. That means I get to add four new projects to my remaining six WIPS. So, to make a longer response even longer, if you've got 100 WIPS or so, 25 low-hanging fruit and/or special interest pieces make sense to me, as a focus for the remainder of the year.
@RaymondStitches I love your system and keeping it to 10 wips. I would love to get down to 25 or 30 and keep it there. I had a lot of fun doing 60 starts for my 60th birthday a while back, but now it feels a little overwhelming. Happy Stitching and thanks for watching 😊
Love seeing all your projects! Just started cross stitching so I don't have a lot of WIPs, but I think focusing on 24 is a great plan. I would also enjoy seeing the punch needle flip through...was thinking about taking a class at my LNS.
I'm making satisfying progress on my WIPs thanks to WIPGO this year. I do have one (which is one of my calls this month) that I'm really thinking of starting over. I started it with a beautiful but multi-colored Weeks Dye works thread but I don't think it's working for the project. I don't have a whole lot done, so it wouldn't be too bad to restart it. I'm going to keep going with my WIPGO plans and looking for a new Mirabilia start sometime soon-ish. I may change things up and sub in Arabesque for that call this month. I really want to get more done on it, especially after seeing your progress! 🪡👠
I have about 80 WIPs and have decided to just stitch whatever I like out of them. Some may sit for the next year (or two) but I am just going to pull out what brings me joy on any given day. You know I’ve encouraged you to do whatever flip thrus you want to regardless of who else is doing them. At my last count, there’s at least six of the Halloween issue and the more foosstubers there are out there, there will probably be more to come. Just be you 😊
@@stitchingbytheshore thanks! I definitely lean towards SWYWWYW. But there's definitely an itch to see more progress, if only I could retire right now😊
Always enjoy seeing your progress. I'm a little behind on flosstube, so someone else may have already told you this, but you should be able to pull your MFE pattern into a free pdf editor to rotate the pages, export it back out as a new pdf, and then it should work in pattern keeper. You might also want to check out Markup R-XP, which I prefer over pattern keeper these days because it has more functionality on scanned copies of charts, but it does have a bigger learning curve. I also have almost 100 WIPS and I'm still trying to find the best way to work on them. This year I put 24 on a WIPGO board, I divided one into 12 to do a part per month, I picked a full coverage to do 2,000/month on, I have 4 projects that each get a quarter of the year with a goal of 1,000 stitches each month for 3 months, and I started a Long Dog for Leap Day that is getting 600 stitches/month. So I guess I have 31 that will definitely get attention this year, but other than a start once a month generally, I'm not finding time to work on many other things. I'm still thinking about how to work on things next year because I would like a little more Sweewee time each month.
As soon as I figure out how I am handling my 54 WIPS I will let you know....but don't hold your breath...like another of your commenters said, I change my plans daily and sometimes hourly..I rotate my rotation constantly 😂😂😂

Arabesque is looking great! As you know I have a ton of WIPs. I have my focus pieces (about 10) but I don’t take any of the others out of rotation.
