That's why it's said, Sufism may have been born outside Indian borders, but it reached it's literary and spiritual zenith or peak in India along with the intertwining of Bhakti movement, poetry, Indian classical music and dance (especially kathak)
True Love doesnt exist in the modern world (except in rare cases).......just one or 2 visit to family courts .....feelings about true love ( heer ranjha type love ,laila majnu type love ) evaporates in the court premises itself......been there done that for my neighbour

The poet actually is considered to be a famous poet of persian literature. The Persian literature is widely spread in central Asia Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and some of the Balkan regions etc. So what I think he meant was Nizami is from Persian literature and not the place he was born I.e Azerbaijan. It's like how Amir Khusrow was born in modern day UP but is also considered as Indo-Persian sufi musician/poet/singer/composer.
