- After watching this video you be able to describe muscle activation throughout the whole gait cycle. Differentiate between concentric and eccentric muscle activity. Name muscles active at the hip, knee and ankle joints.
It really helps me to understand what muscles are contracting during gait! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve watched it many times. And it has helped me make sense of what muscle fires and when. And why. THANK YOU
This helps a lot with understanding! Thank you so much for the great videos!
Great visualizations are hard to come by. Great explanation as well!
this is absolutely brilliant. thank you.
This is the best and top class easy video for everyone to understand. Hats off. Thanks.
Amazing, exactly what i was looking for
This video is going to be my saving grace for my kinesiology finals :')
Great! Many thanks.
Very clear. Excellent graphics
Thank you! 💯☝🏼
Thanks Alexandra
Thank you so much 🥰 it helped me a lot
So helpful!
U solved my doubt.thanx
Succes aan alle kine strijders, com on
in fact, thre is more of an isometric contraction of all listed muscles during the gait cycle, what gets longer and shorter are the soft tissues, mainly Achilles tendon....
What is the relationship between the lead foot and trailing foot during toe off? During heal off are the plantar flexors and calf muscles propelling the body forward while simultaneously the lead foot is activated, or does propulsion mainly come from the trailing foot?
very good!
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days =)
@Dante Kyle yup, been watching on Instaflixxer for months myself :D
Thanks
Actually good content
Thank you Andrei!
Amazing video but the sound effect 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I'm tired of being bullied. When I walk, my hips swing. What's the reason, Doctor? I'm tired, please 😢
Why stopped making new videos? They are great.
What about the feet? Why did you not start at the ground? Do the hips and ankle control the working of the feet or is it the reverse?
Good. I like the boxes as I watched the ground force one before. Speaking could have been a bit slower and the music is distracting.
Handy reference video
There is engagement of the QL during walking. I can feel it. But I don't know when each muscles fires?
QL would be when the contralateral limb is in stance phase to control lateral lumbar flexion (side flexion) eccentrically then to return it concentrically when the stance leg changes. It basically does exactly what the glute med does at the hip but it’s action is mainly at the LL spine during gait.
Are you a PT? This material helps.
Hey Steven, yes I am a PT. Glad it helps :)
Should the heel strike the ground first in bare feet walking
Yes it’s a myth that heel striking is bad
Do you have a script?
Every author have some differences in Muscle activity..
