When you and Tony get together . . . my soul dies a little inside . . . in the best way possible. I have the MOST respect for both you and Tony. The two of you together creates an end product that offers up so much value!
Wow. I loved what he said about raising our bar for what is "suffering" and realizing that we can free ourselves from it. Even feelings of overwhelm is "suffering," and although I love my life and can say that I'm happy most of the time, I do get overwhelmed and thought that it was just a part of the journey. But we don't have to let ourselves suffer. I love it. Also I got so excited when he talked about "the Art of fulfillment" because that's totally what my blog and channel are about :). I used to be into the "science" aspects like productivity and success strategies but more and more I love exploring simply things that bring me more joy and more love. My motto is "life is an art. make it your masterpiece." Hearing Tony emphasize this importance really makes my heart sing. Thanks Marie, as always! Two amazing human beings in one video :D
MIND BLOWING. "All lasting change happens in an altered state." HUGE. I remember my first 'date' with Tony, picking up Awaken The Giant Within (the book) and read it voraciously over and over. Next was playing Tony's tapes over and over and over in my car. It did WONDERS. You guys have made me AWARE and I'll be at Date With Destiny in Australia in 20127. THANK YOU
Every word that comes out of Tony’s mouth is such a gift in a trillion beneficial ways. He is truly a living, breathing source of productivity and recovery for all walks of life. Thank you Maria for interviewing him again and also sharing your wise words.
The best interview ever! And to hear Tony talk about RECEIVING, ahhhmazing. He has grown a lot! I have never heard him talk about the receiving before and this has been my biggest issue before wth him always talking end, and I always felt that was missing. As a giver I didn't need to be taught to give, I had to learn to receive because I realised my giving wasn't getting me anywhere unless I allowed myself to receive. I LOVED THIS. Thank you, Marie 🙏💕🎯💥
"You can free yourself when you trade your expectations for appreciation" - If I had heard this a couple of years ago, I would probably still be married...GREAT interview!
The way he looked into that guys heart and all the love you can see he brought for him brought tears to my eyes. How powerful, and what a gift these people are to so many
I watched this 7 times.I love you Toni, I love you Marie. You two are magic together. But what I ADORE here is Marie's face and attitude!!! She is all of us right there.
Awesome interview! The movie is spectacular! Anthony Robbins, you are truly a hero and a beautiful example of a loving and generous Soul living its highest purpose. Forever grateful for everything you have done and continue to do for me and humanity.
It's amazing how many people go through the same struggles silently. I took so much from this interview. Thank you for doing the work that you do. I'll be replaying this a lot!!! I'm going to try to make these things a habit. -Allowing thoughts to come and go without lingering on them - we have been hypnotised by our culture to settle for things - success leaves clues ( my absolute favourite)
Terrific interview! Thanks Marie 👍 For me, 37:05: Consider making the most important decision in your life: I will not suffer anymore. I will practice banishing the bad thoughts that enter my head and learn to enjoy the wonderful things I already have.
Great point, but I slightly disagree. I agree there will always be negative thoughts and situations, that is life. However suffering is the resistance to them. As Tony mentioned in that video, you first fully accept and be with whatever negative thought you may have, then you deal with. No identification or resistance. Once you master doing that there is no suffering. The hard part is mastering that, and it is what makes Tony so special.
Yes Pavan :) and there is no resistance to negativity when you undertsand is purpose: I recommend you the ABC of negativity forom John Demartini on that subject.
Tony Robbins inspire me so much that my plans in this world is so big I can see it every day, I feel it. Man, he is great. I have so much respect for him and what he do around the world. Thank you MR. Robbins. Please take cake of your self , we need you around for a very long time.
I am in tears. So Beautiful. Marie kudos for your vulnerability. Tony, Thank you thank you thank you. I'll be back to watch this again and again SO MUCH VALUE. THANK YOU.
Marie, I have to thank you. After watching this interview, I watched Tony Robbin's documentary, and I am blown away. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing this to me. I am so grateful to you, and to Tony Robbins. I knew very little about him, and now, I feel like a door has been opened in my life to a whole new world. Bless you for the work you do! All my best, Kimberly
What was most valuable to me, and I love Tony, I’ve followed him for decades, was YOUR realization about your relationship with your significant other! I love the “replace expectation with appreciation”. That is it in a nutshell! I am ultra aware of expectations, and I have a lot of them. I feel that I sometimes have to keep my expectations high or everything will go downhill. What I love about the comment is that it is a single moment problem solver! I’m going to use that on myself and improve many future moments in my marriage, and teach it to my 20 year old daughter! That’s my biggest take away.
One of the most powerful TH-cam videos I've ever watched, on so many levels. Watching Tony work with the gentleman stops time every time I've seen it. So powerful. You can feel the shift happen, the love, the acceptance, likely for the first time for that fella. Near the end, when Tony asks "what parent did you crave love from"...game changer. Mind blown. Thank you Marie for being open with Tony's questions and sharing, and thank you both for this profound interview. :)
I was just working on growing myself today and came across this episode. I was devastated that I missed Tony Robbins at Isagenix Celebration Aug of '17... NOW I AM KICKING MYSELF!!! Marie, THANK YOU for hosting Tony again I LOVED every second and shared it with my kids and couple of friends already. When I see my husband in a week or so, we will be listening to this same episode again. I will be praying that I get some sort of break in his pattern for his job. Amazing how things/people come into one's life right when you need them
Honestly, I think this video has sold me on Tony Robbins. I've always been skeptical of self-help "gurus" and people who "preach" to others and make millions doing it, but Robbins has some seriously good points here. It's impossible to hate on him when the information he's providing makes so much sense, and really does help people. Good and helpful information is good and helpful information, plain and simple. Thank you so much for this interview, Marie! :)
I am taking note to live in a beautiful state. I am a problem solver by nature and can get very intense when trying to help others improve. Instead I will be more conscious of the state I am in when I share advice. I am taking action by meditating each night before bed. It's on my calendar and I will get a notification reminder. This will help me be able to slow down unwind and be aware of my present state. Thank you both for sharing your wisdom.
The most memorable part for me is seeing how Tony Robbins is not intimidated by challenges in the face of helping people; in fact, he thrives on them as opportunities to grow and accelerate his own progress. For example he mentions how sometimes what he tries won't work, but that this doesn't stop him because he will keep changing his approach until he prevails. This thriving on challenge is why he puts in that extra work even while he is not working to "make new distinctions" from age 18 to age 58, and it is also why, in the early stages of his career, he has said he actively sought out difficult clients. I think this is a mindset that just about everyone who has made rapid progress in an area can relate to on some level. Having a tendency to shrink from, avoid, or minimise problems and challenges in a particular area restricts our progress substantially, while having in that area feelings of commitment, excitement, and total focus in the face of those challenges sets us free to keep growing quickly.
Tony's material has changed my life in the past. I've only seen him live at one event. He is an amazing person! This interview with Marie gave me goosebumps! He is so electric and giving. Gotta get the book, find out more and implement. Thanks for sharing this with us Marie! Warmly, Steve Witt, 71 years young.
That I could listen to Tony all day, every day. What a lucky wife! I think his positivity is otherworldly, and his vulnerability is strength. Reminds me of the Rock. Both exceptional men. I Loved hearing him talk about Robin Williams. I wish the two Robbins would have connected to bring him peace. But even his death was a gift bc he brought more focus on the importance of mental health. Nothing but pure love for this interview.
It really resonated with me that we fall in love with 'disowned' aspects of ourselves. I have experienced that a lot. It reminds you to take responsibility for those aspects instead of just drooling over someone else who has them.
As a salesperson that ALWAYS struggles with my approach, I loved, "You can free yourself when you trade your expectations for appreciation." Thank You!
Tony! ... every time i listen to you there is another part of my awareness wakes up, one day i will talk to you face to face, you are the most inspiring ever born, Marie ... you are an inspiration
I realised that I need to appreciate the great attributes in my husband rather than pick at the annoyances I find in him. I will start doing this immediately! I've felt this excited energy bubbling in me these last few weeks and it is just so nice to feel alive again. This doco and interview landed at my feet just at the right time. I appreciate your channel for providing this pure goodness for me and for others. Thank you so much for following what feels right and good for you, you're inspiring me to do just the same. Love, Bonny. All the way from Western Australia xx
My favorite part of this show was the section where Tony asked who did you have to please, with what traits, which were not allowed? This was very powerful. I watch a lot of Tony Robbins and I actually had a break through. Thank you.
That moment he had with that guy brought me to tears because it brought up why I was wanting to end my own life in 2015 but I got my cerificate in life coaching.
I have been to a few Tony Robbins seminars and he is great and I love I am not your guru and have watched it a couple of times. If you haven't seen it, you must!
word's cannot express how grateful I am. i have watch this over 6 times in two days. so much power. My new favorite guy. amazing you too. God bless you both.
I just watched the film last week and I loved it! I have heard of Tony Robbins before but in the bad light. People said all he wants his money, so I never gave him a chance. When I saw the documentary I knew he was the real deal! I love his method on what he does to help people and how he uses body language to understand people. I am so happy I came across him now. I wish I gave him a chance a long time ago.
even though I’ve seen the Tony Robbins Netflix documentary already, it still made me cry to see that clip again. My favorite thing in the world is seeing someone have a powerful transformational moment like that
THE REALEST!!!!!!! I even got instrumental jazz going in the background and it is PERFECTION for me!! I'm taking notes RIGHT NOW!!! Deep S*** yo!! Pearls of wisdom....ABOUND!!!!! This bad boy WILL BE ON REPEAT!!!! ON POINT!!!! Y'ALL SLAYED THIS!!! REAL TALK!!!
I really appreciate the idea of letting "suffering" types of thoughts pass by. To not entertain them gives me a new freedom. Also I loved the explanation about Tony's questioning people about who's love they sought most. That was a huge eye opener for me. Thank you.
Beautiful talk. I've listened to a lot of Tony Robbins, but to watch him in action, I'm in absolute ore of how much of a genuine person he truly is. He has such a beautiful knoble intention to help people. Both are truly beautiful kind people x
Many powerful moments in this one. I read Awaken the Giant Within over 20 years ago in high school. I grew up with many similar stories as Tony and when he told the story of his son lacking work ethic I had an aha moment about myself as I built my life from nothing to something and that survivor growth mindset fueled me and I just couldn't see it in my son which led me to be frustrated out of fear that he wouldn't have what he needs to survive. We had a great conversation about it and I realized he didn't need to, that wasn't his need. He would start from a place I never did and all I needed to do was help him grow from there. Any resource freed up can be reinvested and this helped me reinvest in a better blueprint for my son and relationship.
Yes, Marie some people learn self-awareness late in life. Oh well, better late then never. Thank you both so much, I didn’t realise before how easy life is. After listening to you both I now know nothing is impossible. I can do anything, change overnight, become whoever I want to be, just be happy or reach the stars .......
Going to National Achievers Congress 2018 to see and be in Tony’s presence. This video Started that journey almost 3 years ago. Thank you Marie Forleo and thank you Erin Lanahan
I have to say that watching that documentary change something in me at the right time. I was depressed, and scared about the future , then realize that my problems are nothing compared to so many other people horrible problems and traumas. I am happy , I am looking for TR videos now to continue helping myself change what I need to change to grow.
That was the most outstanding interview I could have felt at this particular moment in my life.... Thank you so much Marie, and thank you so much Tony.... Thank you so very very very much!! 😊
This conversation has totally changed my LIFE "Trade in your expectations for Appreciation and your LIFE will change immediately" From the moment I thought about that and repeated it in my head, my shoulders dropped and felt the stress the tension relieve...That's what had been ruling MY Life!. And reclaiming those traits in my Life that I started disliking in my Wife!... POWERFUL Transformative!!! I'm GLAD I watched this, I didn't "expect" this I Appreciate the conversation! :) I can NOW Exhale!!! (exhales)
I had to take a break at 11:30. I know I have to see this film because that short clip alone has me balling. It has been such a tough year (and tough life) and although I don't show it to people I struggle with so much internally. Those high expectations and standards are not high standards, they are perfection. Perfection really doesn't exist. Thank you so much Tony and Marie
how i learnt to be invisible so I didn't 'bother' my dad. i hid in my room as soon as he came home from work. Being invisible let Dad off the hook for having to look after me, cause Mom asked him to 'take' me. I was Too much to handle. HUGE awareness. As now I am moving into the public realm of Digital world - and a human rights artivist ( activist) ..wow..perfect timing..life is like that eh? thank you Marie for all you do..wishing you great blessings . hiy hiy
Thank you for this interview. I've been a follower of Tony's for many years and I've learned so much from him and it NEVER stops. Every time I take the time to listen to him I learn something new, something different. Marie, I'm so thankful to be on this planet with Tony as well...and with you! 😃
This was fantastic! I watched I'm not your Guru a few years ago. It woke something inside of me. I've never been the same. Thank you Tony for being the person you are.
I got a lot of lights turned on - by listening to this conversation. > I really appreciate Tony Robbins. I heard his first seminar years ago & I was impressed w. his confidence and forward moving energy. - I learned more stuff tonight.
I took away the realization of whose love i was carving... WOW! thank you so much Marie & Tony, i am so grateful i am on the planet as the same time as both of you! legends xx
Robin Williams passing was absolutely heart breaking but to be fair he was suffering from Lewy Body Dimentia and he was really not in the right state of mind no choice of his own. I was incurable, degenerative disease and it wasn't something he can "snap out of it" or choose to "un-suffer" from :(
Having met him when he first started his profession and being with him in the oneness university in Fiji. I have relearned to adore and love him. I love who he has become. I am grateful he is in the lives of millions of people. I am in the background always loving and supporting him with my very very open alive heart. Blessings. Thank you fir this podcast. Much success. Ps I to wished I would of know Robins pain. I would of loved to see if I could of helped him shift his suffering.
Thank you Marie and thank you Tony for this powerful, thought-provoking interview ! So many ah-ha moments. My biggest takeaways were : When you trade your expectation for appreciation, in that moment, your whole life changes. That is so powerful for me, to always be grateful in every moment. And like you Tony, I want to live the happiest human life humanly possible, because I know in that state, I’m better for every human I can serve, including myself.
Hahaha Tony came onto Marie's show and said "Hey, Lets talk about your biggest fears. I think it would be good for your viewers". What a true master and an inspiration. Thank you for sharing the message Marie! I loved every second :)
The part where he went into the fact that opposite energies attract people into relationships, and went into more detail about how we can get sick of those qualities that we wish we had in ourselves in some way, shape, or form - that was a hidden gem for me! I might apply that to myself in relation to the applicable qualities my girlfriend has that have been making me feel that way, and I know eventually it'll come up to the point where I end up having to share the message with her.. Lol I can't wait for that part. She's pretty resistant to self help and personal development at times She bulldozes her way through things and is a real driver, sometimes I wish I could do that I'm an analytical at heart (overthinking problem), and the life of the party/center of attention, more spontaneous, outgoing, determined and positive about things being in my control, and I feel like these qualities make her uncomfortable at times (if I'm not fully mistaken of course) 😁😁😁😁😁 I could go on on
Marie and Tony! I feel the emotion that I would feel when I say, "I'm speechless" but, I don't know the correct identification for it. I feel so fortunate to have seen this today. This Wednesday will be 10 weeks since my mom died. The biggest take away I got was that up until this point I have been craving my mom's love. I didn't think that was true until now because our relationship was fairly stressful before she got sick. I had to be perfect and the best at what I did always otherwise it wasn't good enough. I couldn't be the second best. I couldn't speak my mind. When she got sick, I wanted to take care of her. I had the most knowledge about her diseases because I was trained for it. Before she died she told me she never wanted me to become a nurse. Sadly, neither did I but, there I was, doing my best to be perfect and also living with the knowledge and previous experience of what the death cycle looked like but, also doing my best to keep my shit together. I never realized that so many of my adulthood life decisions stemmed from me craving my mom's love. It makes perfect sense. This interview. A sincere thank you.
I can't agree more, what you say, "you are an extraordinary human and I'm so grateful to be in this planet in the same time". Love the interview enjoy every minute, thanks to you both :-) . Thank God for the internet and all these great benefits.
57:10 was a brilliant moment. I agree what you like or dislike in others is also in you but what he said about liking something about a partner and if you don't claim it in yourself you'll end up hating was brilliant
"I don't have to settle. I don't have to tolerate the life I have. Even if it's good, I want great, magnificent and outstanding." That was my favorite part. I will soon be finishing my Peace Corps service, and I'm torn between finding a "responsible" job when I come back (because I'm 30 and I'm sure my parents look forward to the day when I'm not barely scraping by financially) or pursuing my terrifying dream of musicianship. I love this talk, and Elizabeth Gilbert's interview on creativity. I'm working on finding my courage to pursue the scary dream. Do I settle for a good life, or take the risk for a great life?
Follow your bliss. You don't have to know all the how's now. Things will unfold in ways that you can't see now. Have faith that you cannot fail b cause you can't. 🌸
That strategy won't work, you would split yourself into half, dividing your energy. The job would take too much energy away to have the energy needed for the musicianship
Ooooh weee! That question, "Who could you NEVER be for your mother or father?" really hit me hard. I have analyzed myself enough to know that I have been trying to live up to the expectations (implied and stated) of my mother, but I didn't even realize how I had disconnected from my true essence because some of the things I truly wanted wouldn't "please" her. Wow. Thank you so much for this wonderful episode Marie!
Absolutely amazing interview with incredible tangible steps to live the truth of of being alive. Thanks +Marie +Tony for always raising the bar of being you and loving humanity.
lately it's been feeling good to express my anger, rather than suppressing it. i like to say how i feel and i feel like it opens up more truthful lines of communication
Thank you, Marie, for this exceptional interview with Tony Robbins. A lot was covered, but I'm reflecting on the one I most needed love from (my deceased Dad) & the impact that had on my life. I'm also reflecting on what I have previously learnt to be "shadow work" & how that plays out in my life + the attainment of wholeness.
Really helpful. Thanks: Shift to appreciation when expectations trigger a reaction. At ~ 29 minutes into interview when Marie talked about reacting to the small stuff, I was reminded of this intention to cultivate a kind mind, open heart: Pause, breathe, choose. Choose kindness, mindful kindness. At 29:20, when Tony offered, "Do you want to be right or do you want to be in love?" I was reminded of what a speaker on A Course in Miracles said about the male language, "Would you rather be right or at peace?" New attitude: Shift, shift, and more shift.
ASTONISHING CONVERSATION! I absolutely loved every nugget of information. The parts about whose love did you crave more re your parents, not taking from people, giving yourself time to develop and the last part about finding things irritating or loving about another person and how to nurture yourself to make those things alive in yourself was a nail on the head! All great realisations - Thank you Robbins

Tony is a global treasure ........i dont know anyone w more positive energy than Tony
The most insightful lesson I got is that when I love something in someone, I need to reach within and activate it so I can keep loving them for it.
OK, i just cried my guts out. What a beautiful connection he has.
So much goodness and insights in this conversation! Live with your head, and you'll just survive. Live with your heart, you'll thrive!!

Greatest take away : I will not suffer anymore. This is becoming part of my daily affirmations.
Two of my absolute favorite teachers on earth in the same room. I'm blown away!!!!
The movie made me feel so emotional. I've been crying constantly...
I need to appreciate the qualities in my daughter, and I need to stop trying to change her. This video opened my eyes.
It really resonated with me that we fall in love with 'disowned' aspects of ourselves. I have experienced that a lot. It reminds you to take responsibility for those aspects instead of just drooling over someone else who has them.
That nugget alone is earth shattering
As a salesperson that ALWAYS struggles with my approach, I loved, "You can free yourself when you trade your expectations for appreciation." Thank You!
Tony! ... every time i listen to you there is another part of my awareness wakes up, one day i will talk to you face to face, you are the most inspiring ever born, Marie ... you are an inspiration
Biggest a-ha for me was to trade expectations for appreciation. Big eye opener, but lots of nuggets of wisdom in this one! Thank you Marie and Tony.
Tony Robbins for president! He such an amazing guy, thanks you for your love and energy its so inspiring. Thanks you a million times
Tony is so caring, open, insightful and wise. I enjoy his content, I look forward to the day I speak with him.
One day I'll be on Marie TV! Look forward to it ;)
Do It.
Get it girl!!!!! I believe in you!
oh you're awesome! thank you!
Looking forward to that day sweeti!
you're so sweet!
Tony Robbins' message changed my life.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without all the audiobooks from Tony Robbins that got me through the rough times. So great that you interviewed him!
Kim Alexander Very very true. I love some of the videos he has on TH-cam. Thanks for the remindet. Wishing you happiness :)
even though I’ve seen the Tony Robbins Netflix documentary already, it still made me cry to see that clip again. My favorite thing in the world is seeing someone have a powerful transformational moment like that
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be making myself more capable because of the things that I have learned.
We think he's pretty great too; thanks for stopping by and contributing to the conversation!
- Jillian, Team Forleo
I cried through his entire movie! SUPER HEALING!
"...I don't hypnotize people, I DE-hypnotize them."
(exhales)
Best Tony Robbins interview on Positive Emotion!
What I took away ? Meeting Tony Robbins and learn from him so that I can serve the world more ! One day we will work together, just stay patient... :)
The story with his son was really valuable to me. Thank you.
Ahhhh I love Tony Robbins. Such an incredible man with so much heart and wisdom! Amazing.
This was fantastic! I watched I'm not your Guru a few years ago. It woke something inside of me. I've never been the same. Thank you Tony for being the person you are.
I got a lot of lights turned on -
by listening to this conversation.
> I really appreciate Tony Robbins.
I heard his first seminar years ago
& I was impressed w. his confidence and forward moving energy. -
I learned more stuff tonight.
I was incurable, degenerative disease and it wasn't something he can "snap out of it" or choose to "un-suffer" from :(
FYI - Robbin Williams was addicted to suffering from the start - he didn’t just get ill later on in life.
I loved every second :)
and I'm so grateful we're on the planet at the same time.... OMG that is the most beautiful exchange you guys are so moving and empowering love it
The part where he went into the fact that opposite energies attract people into relationships, and went into more detail about how we can get sick of those qualities that we wish we had in ourselves in some way, shape, or form - that was a hidden gem for me!
I might apply that to myself in relation to the applicable qualities my girlfriend has that have been making me feel that way, and I know eventually it'll come up to the point where I end up having to share the message with her.. Lol I can't wait for that part. She's pretty resistant to self help and personal development at times
She bulldozes her way through things and is a real driver, sometimes I wish I could do that
I'm an analytical at heart (overthinking problem), and the life of the party/center of attention, more spontaneous, outgoing, determined and positive about things being in my control, and I feel like these qualities make her uncomfortable at times (if I'm not fully mistaken of course)
😁😁😁😁😁 I could go on on
"Do you want to be right or do you want to be in love?"
YEEEESSS! I wish more people understood that.
I am literally sitting here at work... listening and balling my eyes out!!! Love both of you guys
You asked what I've learned, and what I'm going to apply right now..... I've quit suffering. Thank you 😘😘😘
Beautiful. "Appreciation over expectations".
The Insight I’m taking: whatever you’re aggravated with in the person you love is exactly what YOU need to reclaim in YOURSELF
I can't agree more, what you say, "you are an extraordinary human and I'm so grateful to be in this planet in the same time". Love the interview enjoy every minute, thanks to you both :-) .
Thank God for the internet and all these great benefits.
Tony's a genius when he talks about how we tune into different channels of thought
INCREDIBLE. I absolutely love Tony, he's literally a God!! So much knowledge and passion! Thank you for this
57:10 was a brilliant moment. I agree what you like or dislike in others is also in you but what he said about liking something about a partner and if you don't claim it in yourself you'll end up hating was brilliant
MsEliza dashwood Loved that part too (among other things that were said). Any idea where I could read more about content like that???
Go for the musicianship!!! (from an artist!) :D
go for what you love. It will all work out.
Follow your bliss. You don't have to know all the how's now. Things will unfold in ways that you can't see now. Have faith that you cannot fail b cause you can't. 🌸
Or get the job, save most of your pay, start your music business on the side and quit the job when the music pays your way.
Marie, I love your questions and the way you interview Tony. You're both wonderful. Thank you.
This video just converted me to a Tony Robbins fan. So much wisdom?!
"I will not suffer anymore".....so difficult to stop those triggers but I'm determined. Thanks for this beautiful interview.
Conversations between you too are the best I take so much knowledge from tony love and appreciate both of you 💓
Really helpful.
