Gas is user dependent, we use the hob and oven and the heating on gas especially when we 1st arrive then switch to elec. As more sites charge for electricity we will use more gas as we have rather a few cylinders to use up we have had for a few years
I think we use a little bit more gas than you, must be something to do with the non electric sites we keep going to lol. Great video, keep safe Mark & Coral👍
Hi Martins 👋 Grest video mate. Like you we don't use a lot of gas and our bottle I think has lasted over 2 years now. We use a airfyer and George foreman grill. And our oven all gets used to keep stuff warm on very low setting. Thanks for sharing mate. Paul and Sarah
Hi Paul & Sarah, using the electric on the pitch you’ve paid for things like Airfryer and grill is cheaper than buying gas as well. As you know it’s not cheap this caravanning lark! Thanks for comments and support.
Good to see you back in the van. It’s looking very shiny and very good. Sadly we wont make it to Tourfest Northwest this year but if there’s a draw, we are in 👍🏻😃 Have a good Easter and hopefully we can catch up later in the year 👍🏻😃 Trev n Sue 💙
I believe our heating only works on gas but I’ll check that when we go at Easter. It’ll be our second trip out in it so it’s all very new to us. You’re videos have given me some great tips 😊
It should work on electric, most heating does. However, that depends on the age of the van. Glad the vlogs have been helpful. Thanks for watching and support
Hi Martin I’ve only had the small gas bottles and they lasted me ages. My Dad bought me a Safefill and it’s on its second fill. We use the hob and oven / grill. Safefill is buttons to fill up but my situation is unusual in that I don’t need to recover initial purchase price. Enjoy your trip with Tony & Deb. I really enjoyed last one but couldn’t make this one.
Hi Colin, I’ve thought about Safefill but can’t justify the cost of the bottle. They are a cheaper option in the long run but like you don’t use a lot of gas. Hopefully catch you on a site somewhere again. Cheers, Martin
Still not bad usage though from a 6kg bottle. A couple of years ago we didn’t use any gas all year! Fully serviced for you. Thanks for comments and watching
Morning Martin. Just wanted to ask the best way to silverdale ? Says on google do a right at truck hevan but some comments I’ve seen says best to go left an into carnforth and right at lights and go through town? Is this the best way mate with a caravan ? Cheers young man 👍
Yes turn left and right in Carnforth, far easier. When heading north on the M6 when you come off at the junction I sometimes turn right at that roundabout then right at the next junction, it brings you to the lights in Carnforth but you will be going straight ahead from this direction. Also, after the railway crossing turn left in go through Silverdale village, a sat nav will probably send you left down that road but keep going until the sharp right into the village. If you look back at my first vlog from Silverdale I think I put the route on that. Cheers
I'm with you Martin, don't use gas. Have one as just incase, my last one lasted 7 years 6kg. Always cook on our George foreman, or use the air fryer. Only reason I have a gas bottle, just incase the site electrics go down. I can use it for the fridge, hot water and heating if needed.
I think if you’ve paid for the pitch use the electric, don’t need another cost of gas on top. Like you, George Foreman and Air fryer, it’s the future! Cheers
I bought my husband one of the multi tools. It’s currently on offer for £19.54. He’s very pleased with it. Thank you

Never been on a non electric, don’t think we’d cope without electric!
Cheers

We are off grid mostly on CAMC Rallies. So use a lot of gas. Safefill is the way forward. Great video as ever buddy.
Yes, safefill will be most cost effective for that. Never done off grid, maybe one day. Cheers

6kg lasts us over 12months, we are always fully serviced but we do use the oven and gas hob so maybe that’s where the extra goes 👍

We got gas low refillable , whilst lpg supplies are less in north-west we can always find a supply , we use gas similar to yourself
Dose your shower cubical needs some sealant round bottom of tray
Don’t think so, it’s got clear Silicone on but I will check it. Cheers

@@TheCaravanNut cheers young man really appreciate it 👍
Taken our gas bottle out because never use it
Room for more stuff than Maria! No point towing it around if you don’t need it. 🙂

I’d get that shower tray re-sealed too, looks as though the silicone has gone.
Will have a look at it, cheers
Get some work done
🤣🤣 I never stop!
