Zeliangrong people have been patient for too long. We have shown restraint for too long. Those people saying Manipur/assam Zeliangrong, remember that people living and villages of angami, ao, mao, sangtam etc are all foreigners in the land of Zeliangrong, but we welcome them by fulfilling our customs and they are living in peaceful coexistence. It will be good As Naga customary Zeliangrong or Zemi living in Peren District should collect Kajana,Land tax from all village establish under their juristiction Rs.50 just to show land owners.this must done with permission from State govt. I have many sumi friends. They are generous,big hearted,very warm, courageous, friendly etc.in short,I love their company as much as I enjoy with my own siblings. But, when it comes to land issue,Sumi people do really greed for land very much. Which I do not encourage them to do so. Ever heard of the Apps called Google Map ....This kiyevi issue is between Dimapur & Peren district boundary. Boundary demarcation is still not resolve after recognising peren as District in the year 2004. Kiyevi village is older than Peren district so stop concluding by judging in tribal line on district basis. If you are still confused and wants to conclude with district wise issue, Just imagine like Peren has not been a recognise district...and so you can settle your mindset on this issue.

Logic - how can a sumi can have a land in peren district ? There native land is in zunheboto . So how can it comes? Please tell your brothers to stop establishing village illegally in kiyevi occupation area. It’s very clear that the problem started there when lamhailamdi was established in 2019. Why don’t they invite others to other free area as said in the interview. Why only talk sweet just to occupy kiyevi occupation area. State government should solve this issue early with proper final demarcation of boundary with well clarified documents submitted by both villagers. The more it keeps pending, the problem keeps alive to hate each other because of this issue.

The Zelaings are recognised tribe of Nagaland but the issue here is they bring Rongmai and other Manipur tribe to establish lamhailamdi where all this problem started. Even those past years , there were case in regards with government job too...like The Manipur tribes taking advantage of recognised Zelaings tribe & working as an officer under Nagaland government is so wrong. We already have enough unemployment issue and people coming from Manipur taking advance in Nagaland is so wrong. 1. Not sumi because kevi bosti relocated at their request by Lamhai people. And won't allow because they won't admit that it is under peren district nor it fulfills the customary of zeliang. 2. They didn't specify in the statement that it is sold or gave in gratitude for allowing to stay. Moreover, the original settlers were relocated. 3. Who approach a thieves in good terms? 4. Every tribe has their own set ancestral territorial boundaries. So the question is, what is the distance between Zunehboto and Peren district?
Ever heard of the Apps called Google Map ....This kiyevi issue is between Dimapur & Peren district boundary.
Boundary demarcation is still not resolve after recognising peren as District in the year 2004.
Kiyevi village is older than Peren district so stop concluding by judging in tribal line on district basis.
If you are still confused and wants to conclude with district wise issue, Just imagine like Peren has not been a recognise district...and so you can settle your mindset on this issue.

Villagers to solve each other problem is like waiting for Rio to bring change in Nagaland. Land disputes should be solved by the officials of high authority. Both side has different story so it should be metetted out with wise judgement.

Both the group of zeliang and sumi are admitting their right in media, so it will be better if both the villagers stay together before administration and talk about their own right face to face so that the truth be come out clearly. It will be better for media not to talk with the villager differently, so that both the party speak only their rights. If the media want to take the interview than let both the villagers come together along with officials of government.

Hearing from this CSO’s statements, I don’t think there will be peaceful solution. Claiming back to occupy kiyevi land bringing different tribes of Nagaland and Manipur is going to be a big mistake here after many years. 1939 is not such a new matter.

@anti ling You first need to understand the meaning of Zeliangrons . The Zelaings are recognised tribe of Nagaland but the issue here is they bring Rongmai and other Manipur tribe to establish lamhailamdi where all this problem started.
Even those past years , there were case in regards with government job too...like The Manipur tribes taking advantage of recognised Zelaings tribe & working as an officer under Nagaland government is so wrong. We already have enough unemployment issue and people coming from Manipur taking advance in Nagaland is so wrong.
Even though we all are Nagas we need to be in our respective state and stop interfering in others state.
@anti ling And yes Original Lamhai is under peren ....but newly established lamhailamdi is under kiyevi occupation area.
After hearing all the leaders speak , Saddened to conclude on the mentality of Tribelism withing we Nagas, and the following can be understood:
1. How unfortunate it is for our Zeliang brothers to admit openly that they would let any other tribe live within Peren but not Sumis in General.
2. Second spokesman clearly stated that the Land were acquired on payment of some paise during that time but now they would reclaim it for free.
3. They talk of peaceful co existence but yet every speaker is aggressively threatening for actions in future.
4. Everyone admitted that No papers are available.
No peace can be achieved with aggression or Egoistic stories , both parties should sit and swallow the Flaming Egos

1. Not sumi because kevi bosti relocated at their request by Lamhai people. And won't allow because they won't admit that it is under peren district nor it fulfills the customary of zeliang.
2. They didn't specify in the statement that it is sold or gave in gratitude for allowing to stay. Moreover, the original settlers were relocated.
3. Who approach a thieves in good terms?
4. Not proud of, but we are backward because of a reason that education, Christianity, living standard are still below any other tribes. It was a last tribe standing against Britishers too. The point is, old people didn't maintain written records, but at least before Britishers left zeliang have the records as mentioned by them.
