Good vid RJ, the VW Derby was a booted version of the Polo, not the Golf, also if you watch the movie 'Deliverance' a white and red Anglia 1200 Super makes a brief appearance early on in the film.
My tastes must parallel yours somewhat. I generally pass the expensive new 'exotics' in favor of the older preserved models. Thank you for a nicely spent 45 minutes this Sunday morning.
Hi 👋 Very good show. 👍 That E type Jaguar is stunning. I visited Stockcar racing here in New Zealand from 1967 to 1975. Viewing some of these old cars reminds me of that time . The stockcars had different makes of cars bodyshells. Austin A35s , Minis, Ford Anglias, Morris Minors, and one had an E type Jaguar bodyshell over its roll cage. It looked so cool.
@@oldclassiccarUK The new Stockcars here in NZ look different. They mostly all have the same bodyshell. I have viewed on TH-cam your British Stockcars in 2023 , and they look cool.
I remember an elderly chap up our road had a gold one, you could always hear him leaving as he gave it maximum revs while backing out of the garage, only moderating his pace with the clutch pedal.
Good to see that the Dodge fuel pump behaved! Favourites: red MG TF, the super, yellow Dolly Sprint, the ubiquitous, dark-blue MG Tourer with those lovely wire wheels and the super dark-blue TR4 (I too really like the headlamp bulges in the bonnet !).
America’s First motorcycle , INDIAN, started in 1897. They stopped production of motorcycles in 1952. There were several attempts to revive, but it wasn’t until Polaris Industries bought the company and rights in 2010, that Motorcycles again appeared with the Indian brand. Not as popular as Harley Davidson but they do sell. Great video - as usual. 📻🙂
Great to see the old girls doin their thing… It’s been years since I’ve seen a Hillman imp on the road … and an A30 as well … Brings back childhood memories…
Some nice cars there. I have to mention the lovely E-Type Jaguar, the colour is really deep. I like the curves over the headlights on the TR4 too. Some nice old MG's really well looked after and slightly newer ones. Who doesn't like a Lotus of any 'flavour'? The Hornet van was very interesting too. I like you Rick used to think that the Cooper S came with twin tanks as standard but I later learned that you had to specify twin tanks when ordering the car. Some people used to race them on a weekend so twin tanks were very useful! Great video once again Rick thank you. 👍👍
19:13 Note the non-lockable filler caps on the Mini. I remember when fuel syphoning was a thing in the 70s. My Dad had some go missing one night out of his Mini. He bought a lockable cap the next day!
As for the white Audi 80/90 saying "Schon mit Katalysatortechnik"...it means already with catalyst technique, whereas when it is spelled "schön" it would mean beautiful.
I had a school friend whose dad owned a transport cafe near Worcester and the BMC test drivers used to call in there for a break, and we used to see quite a lot of "interesting" cars back then. Jaguar test drivers also used to stop off there when they were developing the V12 back in the '60's..........@@stefantrnacek1394
The Mini "van" probably started out life as a Mini Clubman Estate, it has the internal front door hinges and wind-up windows. The commercial variants right up to the end of production had the early doors/sliding windows. According to the DVLA it was first registered in August 1975, the MoT history says "Morris Mini Clubman" supporting the Clubman Estate theory, perhaps the registration was from an original Wolseley Hornet and was transferred at some point, although the donor vehicle would have needed to have had a current MoT to effect a transfer (or be held on retention). Nice what they have done & makes for an interesting car, thanks for sharing.
Fuel pump on your old truck dont have a long operating arm does it.....if it does....slighter slop wont let the pump pump. Had this prob on out Mk4 Zodiac with its V6 motor.....had a very long operating arm.
Hello Richard. When was this meeting ? The weather looked perfect ! Cracking selection . So if you brought the Dodge and the MX5 does that mean young Harley has his licence ? There was something not quite right with that Cooper "S" there were blanks above the indicators which also had clear indicator lenses and the door handles were the later type with the safety "buttons " . I wonder if it was an Australian import . And the Wolseley Hornet mini van had internal door hinges , a right mix up ! I'm sure you know the Dolomite Sprint runs on S.U 's in standard form and spot on with the bhp . I had one in the late 1980's . A lot of fun in the dry but a horror in the wet ! Picking a favourite ? Well the "e"type was a beauty but that early Healey 3000 just pipped it ! Thankyou Richard
During the spring/summer/autumn months it's often the first Sunday am of the month, but check on Facebook to be sure it's on (Cars and Caffeine at Combermere I think the page is called)

Great to see the cars and bikes, I would have been drooling over the beautiful black jag too 👍👌👏
It's always nice when you have the time to spend studying the cars.

There are some E-Type shells mouldering away around the back of an out-of-use garage not far from here, must go and have another look sometime

25:48 MGB GTV8 😊 this is an original factory V8. Engine has been fully restored and still running in.
Good brekkie viewing RJ. I always liked the Hillman Imp I learned to drive in one, a powder blue one.
I remember an elderly chap up our road had a gold one, you could always hear him leaving as he gave it maximum revs while backing out of the garage, only moderating his pace with the clutch pedal.
Nicely photographed video. The E Type was my favourite along with your old Dodge of course.
Great video first I have seen ! Liked and subscribed ! Bit far to bring a 1960 Cadillac 6.4 ..cost a bit !
Thanks Keith, good to have a new subber on board!
great video . The MG Tourer was lovely
Hi Had Hillman Imp forever breaking the Rubber joints on the Drive shafts ahead of its time in many respects great vid
Thanks 👍
Really Excellent cars in these videos, Top Video ❤
Glad you like them!

Favourites: #1 VW XL1 31:03, #2 Triumph Dolomite Sprint 1:49 36:17, #3 Austin Cooper S 17:36 😁👍
The XL1 was pretty wild, not sure I'd go as far as wanting one though :)

Nice video Mr Jones. Jonny Smith has just done a vid about that VW XL1. Well worth a look. ✌️
Ah yes I saw the thumbnail but haven't watched it, thanks for the heads-up

You learn something every day.I wasn’t aware Coopers were available with duel tanks, and I worked in garages when they were relatively new.😊
The Cooper S was yes, thanks for watching
I wonder if anyone has put the Mini running gear into an Austin A30/35? A Front wheel drive A30 could be interesting.
When BMC were developing the Mini in the mid 50's that is exactly what they did....
@@richardsealey3626 I wondered if they did. It would be interesting to know how it went.

9:47 It's probably best to rhyme Fuchs with "flukes", or you might get into trouble with the German pronunciation! 😋

Yes that'd make sense, I'll have a closer look next time I see it

It's not crazy long no

Mrs OCC drives............
This was back in June, yes the weather was great early summer then went very damp. Thanks for giving it a watch, a reminder of hotter days!
Is this car meet up on every weekend....if so sat or sun.

Great weather here today for the most part, at least until about 4pm when we had what felt like a cloud burst
Mate, can you stop saying "fruity" ... soooo cringe.
I'll try but it's not easy to shift a lifelong habit ...
sorry unsubscribed you tube advert suck
