Someone told me that these are only in Walgreens until December 1st, I believe. I had to ask, but they were at the checkout in a box.

I have seen the Caragold Bar from New Zealand. Here we get Caramac and Mcvities Gold. Just as Kevin said it I was thinking this would be out for Christmas only. It's great you Americans are getting a Gold bar.

You guys do some of the best reviews. I shouldn't have wasted my time looking elsewhere. I don't like regular Hershey chocolate bars because they are waxy to me but I do enjoy their last creation Cookies N Creme, along with Nutrageous, Take 5, Symphony with toffee, and Reese's cup (which is not as good as it used to be).

Just so you know, this "kind" of chocolate is originally invented by a french chocolate company called "Valrhona", and it's one of the best chocolate companies in the world.
Actually, it's white chocolate that is warmed and carameliazed until it has this unique caramel flavour. The named of the chocolate by valrhona is "Dulcey". You should look it up on he web.
Where i live, in israel, our biggest chocolate company "Elite" recently launched 3 kinds of this chocolate - with sea salt caramel bits, with coconut flakes and with almonds. It's so so soooo good! :)
Also so you know, you can make this chocolate by yourself at home. You take regular white chocolate (real one, not a compound chocolate like wilton's or almond bar) and you put it in the oven on low temperture and you bake it around 1 hour. Every 10 mintues you stir it up... firstly it looks like a big mess... it clumps up etc, but after 50-60 minuts with a atir every 10 minuts, it becomes this creamy, caramely perfect chocolate... and it lasts for weeks!

I just picked up 3 bars from my local Walgreens. They had a couple of boxes out on display. I really hope they keep this one around, there are too many limited edition items, wish some of them would just be permanent items lol

Just tried this and I love it! I also tried the Hershey's Cookies and Mint bar, but I don't like it at all. To me it tastes like a toothpaste mint and it also has a strange chemical flavor. I found it at Walmart if you're curious!

It was released on Dec 1, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to look? I've been to the majority of Walmarts in my city but nothing.
I have not seen it at Walmart here either. I have only seen it at Walgreens at the front counter.

I'm not sure what's going on with the candy bar but it has a ether taste like as if someone spray painted the bar...I'm sure this isn't what it's supposed to be tasting like...I got the candy bar in a vending machine

I've tried this earlier today myself am quite fond of these and a miniature version to put into a grab bag would be nice addition too.

Apologizes on my end and no harm intended, I guess I misread the both of your accents falsely. I just heard a few notes/syllables that threw me off towards that area I mentioned. And on a second listen I can pick up a little easier that you two are south but not full on deep south. :)
Basically I live in Mideastern Wisconsin and the way you pronounced/accented a few words or phrases reminded me of the regions I am around while on vacation or hunting.
The best Hershey's bar is sort of like the tallest midget :)

Okay, I just tried it. The Hershey's Gold bar is just okay to me. I really like Cookies and Creme, Symphony, Take 5, Reeses Crispy, and Nutrageous. It doesn't taste at all like peanut butter to me. However, it is very salty (a little too much to my liking). You definitely experience a rich base from the bar but they should have used cocoa butter instead of general vegetable oil (palm, shea, sunflower, soybean, and or safflower oils). The ingredients in here are rather cheap and I am ashamed of Hershey's for selling such an expensive priced bar with low quality ingredients. I would have liked to have tasted this in chocolate instead. The jury is still out if I'd actually buy this in the future.

OMG! I went to Walgreen,s and I bought 4 last night. I'm tasting it right now and it is so good!!!! I wish I had bought more!! lol! I have to limit myself to 1 a day. I don't care for the way they divided it up because I can't eat just half the bar like a regular Hershey. On the regular Hershey I could eat 6 lil blocks, then eat the other half later.
YESSSS! it is good! I agree with you about how they divided it up though. I guess they were trying to be creative, but it does mess with dividing it up.
They had the king size bars at my walgreens. But I don't need the big one in my possession. Lol!
