Ironically, despite my rambling about nostalgia, I actually remember them because they were so popular but never actually tried them myself. Now that I’m much older, I’ll def give it a try. When I was about 6 or so, I wanted those things SOOOOO badly...but my parents always insisted that they were just sugar and food colouring. I still have never tasted one. Glad to know they're nothing special after all. haha
