darn hole wizard dimmed out. i created a new part.. basic extruded square and it visible... but no this one lol. could it be because i stared on the top plane? great teaching tried others tutorials and i was able to follow n underst here. i will redo part in morning .

install windows os and then install solidworks in it
I'm planning on teaching myself solidworks right up until I found out what they charge for their software, yikes, does anybody know a cheaper way to have solidworks?
