Day 2: Esplanade Pier and Buchan Caves Tour

12:30pm - Departure from Lakes Entrance Esplanade to Buchan
01:30pm - Arrival at Buchan Caves Reserve (claim tickets for the cave tour)
2:00pm - Fairy Cave Tour
3:15pm - Royal Cave Tour
4:00pm - End of Cave Tour
4:15pm - Departure from Buchan Caves Reserve
5:15pm - Arrival at Lakes Entrance
7:00pm - Dinner
Day 3: Lakes Entrance Beach, Peels Cruise and Lakes Entrance Lookout
9:00am - buy tickets at Peels Cruise for a sightseeing tour
9:30am - Lakes Entrance Beach (watch wildlife)
12:00nn - Start of the sightseeing cruise

Buchan Caves Guided Tours

Due to some rock movement, access to the Black Wood chamber in the Fairy Cave is temporarily closed. But don't worry! An altered Fairy Cave tour is still available, offering an extended look at stunning displays not usually seen on a standard tour.

Fairy Cave features elaborate stalactites and stalagmites, highly adorned passages and impressive decorations throughout cave. Marvel at the Ivory Palace, Kings Chamber and Blackwood Chamber. Fairy Cave is the more challenging out of the two show caves at Buchan.
Fairy Cave Tour Duration: 1 hour
Cave length is 500 metres with 60 stairs on approach to entrance and 200 steps throughout the cave.
Significant amount of stooping required within confined areas.
Spiral staircase entrance.
Temperature in cave is a constant 17 degrees.
Each tour takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Lakes Entrance is not 3 hours away from CBD its 5 Hours away

The video says 3hrs and 40 mins. That's a time estimate from Google, but if you include a rest stop in the middle of your travel, it will be close to 5hrs.
