There’s something to be said about aging gracefully, it’s interesting that the culture promotes looking young and healthy through surgery instead of healthy diet and exercise instead
Fitness in Korea often seems tried to aesthetics and results rather than health & future aging benefits. It’s to look good rather than still being able to be active when 65+.
@@shinyeee1709have you been to Korea? Seniors and elders exercise a lot by going to parks with simple exercise machines and many go hike to the mountains, all the way up.
@@davidh7832 yes I have been to Korea before. We are talking about 2 completely different generations obviously. Clearly those grandmas and grandpas are not hitting the gym to look physically good but being active to sustain their health (stronger bones & mobility).
Kelsey’s intelligence and common sense makes these panels so much better. “The pressure to conform is always there, but you can always opt out.” Wise words. And does Anna think that the Jenners and Hollywood stars are representative of how people behave in the West? 😂
@@pangkouxiong1244 I don’t deny that we are somewhat conditioned by our particular culture, but that’s how travelling and getting to know how other people do things is so important. It opens your eyes and makes you see your culture for what it is, the good and the bad. You have more chances to opt out if you’re more confident and globalised.
While there’s something to be said about “when in Rome”, and we know the pressure to conform to societal expectations and beauty standards can be extremely challenging, it is still so disconcerting to hear some on this panel so casually suggest procedures like it’s a haircut and not major surgery. The toxic nature of normalizing this mindset appears lost on some of them. It would appear the end justifies the means.
I am sometimes surprised by how early people in Korea undergo cosmetic surgery in their lives. There are lot of stories about idols' surgeries online where fans deny the idols had surgery by showing photos from their high school days, but it's quite possible that idols have already had surgery by then lol
plastic surgery shouldn't be demonized. To me it's actually helpful (of course not in a way I support ps addiction and botched) it's okay in moderation know enough is enough. I can empathize to those who get plastic surgery but won't admit it like bro why would be people so entitled to other people lives? it's not like you should have a tag on your forehead or shirt that says "I got a plastic surgery" no need to voice it out. Toxic people criticizing kpop idols that they are ugly but then if an Idol had different look before, they will scrutinize everything and dig their past then talk shit how they aren't "natural" I would support those who get ps and they don't need to explain it. The pressure, disgusting comments and comparing to other "prettier than you" is a nightmare. Also, it's the people who perceived those famous people, they are the one who thinks that famous or kpop idols claim to be "natural" but in reality they just don't want to mention it (kpop idols), nothing is wrong with that. Like a person with PTSD for example don't want someone to remind that specific past or no need to point out some things it can trigger some flashbacks. And BDD too, it's really uncomfortable if someone keeps scrutinizing your entire appearance.
@@Reverie_reveals How is plastic surgery helpful? Lol. Unless you're deformed or really ugly, what could possibly be the benefit? A lot of people with low self-esteem around here, who didn't do the right thing at the right age in terms of marriage.
I saw few people who moved to Korea and get insecurities about their face there and got plastic surgeries done. It's kinda sad tho. Even I felt pressure about aperans when I was there. Even thought myself confident
I've really missed these topic focused episodes. Your free flowing live streams with Anna is also very engaging. But I have a apecial place in my heart for these topic focused episodes.
I feel so scared for people who have undergone the pain and danger of jaw shaving surgery. I had jaw surgery for medical reasons (after accidental traumatic injury). For more then one year I was experiencing pain while chewing, consuming cold or hot food, working out and during weather change. I don't want anyone else to experience it.
I think one of the reasons beauty procedures is so prevalent in South Korea is the affordability and accessibility of the procedures. Yes, it's heavily advertised and the beauty standards causes insecurities so people will consider it. But in the west, these procedures are cost inhibiting. In South Korea, botox can be as cheap as 25k won (which is $18-$20), lipolysis injections for 30k-35k ($24-$26), skin tightening & lifting procedures for 100k-250k, and so much more. So it's very easy for someone who is considering a procedure to take the next step because it isn't a huge financial risk
Great to see Kelsey again. Plastic surgery is everywhere in the world. You don't have to conform to the beauty standards of wherever you are. It's a choice.
Technically she's right, if you don't get cut opened it's not surgery. But realistically society uses the term "plastic surgery" for any medical procedure with the purpose of altering your appearance.
I love that Kelsey and Soobeanie are back, but I am also very glad that Anna is here too - I feel she has been neglected in the comments on this video - perhaps because she is regularly with David on their weekly live-streams. Anna needs more love in the comments: her views are always entertainingly stated, and worth reflecting on! She is great at stirring up debate, and getting the other guests to respond in interesting ways.
I think it'd hurt a lot of Korean folks' egos to admit that they're choosing to get "western" features but they are. Taller nose bridges, double eyelids (resulting from protruding brow ridges), smaller "faces" - these are differences you see in Caucasian vs East Asian skulls. East Asian skulls are a lot larger and a lot flatter/smoother than "white" skulls, which tend to have a protruding brow ridge (leading to deeper set eyes and hence the double eyelid effect) and are also much smaller (which results in the face looking smaller overall). I remember seeing the skull comparison on a Discovery science show and thinking, "this explains a lot." I believe they compared male to male skulls. And I still remember how shocked I was at the sheer size difference of the skulls. Our heads are huge for sure lol.
Nope. Plastic surgery cannot change your skulls shape okay. And Korean or other East Asian on average don't think Euro/western/big too sharp and big features as the ideals for Asian ourselves. How about when I say western/white Euro all want to look mixed nowadays, with bigger lip, tanner skin, with them more square jaw and head that is more bigger than small, that don't naturally exist in white/euro compare to Northern Asian. Most White/Western euro have more oval or long faces instead of having more wider face or square jaw on average compare to North/East Asian, how about the popular jaw enhancing injection/plastic surgery that white/western people do these days in western countries. When you talk about some of those Korean who do plastic surgery, they actually want to look like the ideal Korean East Asian features (ideals in China and Japan is slightly different from Korea). Korea like other countries do have natural born good looking people like Song Hyekyo -actress, Cha Eunwoo - idol/actor, Park bogum - actor, Suzy Bae - idol/actress those are some example of standard in Korea for lookism. Korean Entertainment Dramas/Movies like natural beauty/handsome faces over plastic faces which are found more in their Kpop idols and Korean Influencers, the latter since kpop company want to make money from all the fans they need to make sure that the idols look as cute ideal as possible (so bunch of surgery done when in some cases are not even needed). The thing with Korea is that their standard is kinda too one type, like big percentage of them want that Fake Influencers look that just is very fake looking with them super white skin (which exist naturally in some Korean and Chinese or Japanese) that need to be maintained, and that fake sand off oval face look that don't occur that often in Korean (since like I said they are more North leaning asian like Mongol who tend to have more square and moon slightly more robust looking face instead of looking more dedicated/pretty/bigger almond eyes like more Southern/Central/Eastern Chinese or Some Japanese who tend to have those delicated/cutesy features more on average naturally).
Not everything is about western features, please get out of your western bubbles or lens. Even some western/white/euro don't like their own race look (since every race have grass is greener syndrome don't act like that don't exist in European race), like western/white/euro want to look more mixed/racially ambiguous these days more often than not but still with blond hair and blue eyes, western folks like tan skin over pale pink skin (we all know that most White/euro folks have pale pinker skin and not really tan skin okay, and why tan skin is better is because rich western folks like to look tan and indicate well off and richer side), white/euro like smaller up turn pixie/fairy nose (not them big super tall nose bridge like back in the 17th hundreds when western/euro folks don't know other races existed lol), western/white also like bigger wider face and not small oval face that is more prevalent in Western white (like the popularity for western/white folks to get Jaw Injection to get bigger more square looking jaw), also like the push in western media for bigger lip (Euro/white race tend to on average have thin lips we all know, not saying Angelina Jolie don't exist but her lip and jaw is what make her super hot looking in western sense since it is not a common trait in Europeans lol). Also tall nose bridges also naturally exist in North/North Eastern Asian like Korean, Chinese, or Japanese and Mongols okay as well due to latitude and being the northern hemisphere (don't got to prove to you just look at the East Asian media and we got bunch of our ideals that is not western for sure). Also Flatter nose bridge is more of a Southern Tropical countries kinda of thing like countries near the Equators (more of a trait going into countries like South East Asia and Africa) and around, and what is wrong with flatter small nose, since looks fine on people too and not everyone have to have them super tall nose bridge. Bunch of black models have round features and they all photogenic too due to golden ratios proportion, and every races have their pretty above average looking people with golden ratios. Like not all western/white are above average, and for sure most are average and don't have golden ratio like how so many may think their race have this and that.
@@Liz_Nguyen Nah, my ego don't hurt (like you will be jealous if you see me in real life, like I am tall like above 170cm and fit and with good tone muscle sexy body, great skin, and I am naturally cute and pretty, haha). I am way more naturally attractive than the average humans whatever race it is so lol. Like just telling as it is. Majority of latin american pagent queens and similar western/euro influencers or entertainers are plastic af too, with fake face (lip injection trying to look more black or mixed, jaw injection trying to get them more square jaw when y'all have more oval face, fake small sand off nose when y'all have more tall nose, fake fox eyelid trying to look asian or mixed when y'all have bigger fish eyes etc) and fake body (like I could go on and on about western standard for plasticness). Same with some western/euro folks who tan and prefer to look mixed instead of being pink pale skin. Why not embrace your skin colour of paleness and pinker tone, instead of trying to look mixed with tan golden skin that don't occur that often in the Euro race. Not being mean here, since some of y'all think your race is the best on Earth just telling as it is, the Earth don't revolve around you western/euro anymore lol.
Anyways just telling it as it is. Bunch of you racist are jealous when they see naturally gorgeous and tall non-Euro, well too bad there are so many of us around and on this Earth. Especially with better nutrients and quality of life, more of us will become even better.
Hmm, should kids freshly graduating getting double eyelid surgery become a cultural thing? I mean getting something done for your eyes so you can see clearly is perfectly fine, but when it comes to something that could be seen as superficial because it's a trend sounds kinda iffy.
I wish people put this much effort into being a decent person. Visuals make people want to try you out once, but being a good person makes a person want to stay. And they'll make you feel beautiful, no matter what you look like.
But it’s true to the rest of the civilized world plastic surgery should be a term for some who needs to correct a situation. Cosmetic surgery is for vanity purposes and that’s what most of these procedures are.
I know it's insane how people ignore the biggest risk in all surgeries which is anesthesia. Every surgery comes with the risk it's insane that people would go under for cosmetics. Go take that money and hire a counselor and work on your goddamn self-esteem
@@koreanpizzaclub I like Cosmetic Surgery term for Aesthetic procedures ( like fillers or botox ). "Aesthetic procedures" seems to be the closest to reality.
As far as I know, non-surgical cosmetic procedures are super common among young people in Ukraine - fillers, threads, Botox, biorevitalization. In the US and Western Europe, you can easily spot Ukrainian women in a crowd because of their ‘duck’ lips. They’re especially noticeable in the US, where local girls sometimes don’t even really bother with washing their hair regularly. Plastic surgeries are also widespread in Ukraine - breast, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty. If it weren’t for the war, we’d have a real boom in plastic surgery because in 2021 there was a strong trend in medical tourism - the services are super cheap, and the quality is good. Medical tourism for non-invasive procedures and dental services is still a thing here. However, there’s no competition for looks in society. It’s more about the upbringing of girls who ‘must be beautiful
If these 3 out of the ordinary, specially beautiful, young healthy women want to get procedures….what is expected from us regular women?? Why continue to perpetuate unrealistic expectations for young girls and women? The Botox is so unnecessary at your age, you are gonna cry real tears and really get depressed when you start actually aging, if you are feeling you need this right now!
I forgot how pretty Kelsey was. Also all this talk made me so depressed haha. I think acceptance is key to insecurity to things that cannot be changed. I hope soon our cultures will change enough to strive for this.
Fillers might not be permanent, but it permanently deforms your face to where you have to keep getting them. If you don’t it will have results of saggy or puffy face.
My friend has mono-lids (her eyes look like small slits) so people are always asking if she’s sleepy. I can see how that gets really irritating bc people asked her if she’s sleepy everywhere we went.
4:16 on a serious note i just wanna make a point that y’all really do not need that. Like, your skin is not loose or wrinkled or saggy. Idk the ins and outs of the treatment so it could be fine and preventative
It's been a while since I haven't seen the Whole team together on the Videos. This first episode of KoreanPizza Club Seasoning 2 was so funny. I enjoyed hearing about the different procedures available at the Medical clinic and the Hospital. I have shoulder pain due to wise tooth and I think I need a dentist. But I don't know how much it cost, where to go in Seoul. I feel like I am searching for the right place and right time to realign my teeth.😬
The issue I find with it is the people who get the work done and aren't transparent about it in certain situations. I don't think you guys really understand the power of "social pressure" this puts on people, but I also get that it's your perspective.
This topic is really interesting. So much to talk about psychology wise. What stood out to me is acessibility, normalization, advertisement / capitalism, and (subtle?) societal / peer pressure.
Welcome back, KPC!🎉 Great topic. I haven't been to Korea (yet), but everything positive and negative said about plastic surgery has been said before. In the US, people still say people in LA are all fake and plastic. The same for Brazil. I haven't had anything done, and I probably won't in the future. I prefer to age naturally. I do work out and take care of my skin, nails, and hair. I recently shocked my co-workers when I said, I didn't know it I would do anything special next year for my 60th birthday. They all assumed I was in my late thirties and forties. I don't judge my friends or family who have gotten it. I believe, like most things in life. Sometimes, it's a choice, and for others, it's forced.
I wish people focused more on personal development and health (physical + mental), rather than on reaching nonsensical beauty standards that change every 5 years anyways. Longevity > beauty.
I don't know. I guess it's just me based on the popular opinion. But I'm not even attracted to people who are "conventionally" attractive. And I think I would be less attracted to someone if I found out they made big changes to their face. To me, someone who is that concerned with looking like everyone else isn't attractive to me. I like quirky and individual traits of people's face. I'm also not terribly concerned about body either. Like, I don't need a super muscular gym guy bod or a super skinny woman. I like how people use what they got naturally. I don't believe it's self-improvement at all. I think it's more done to keep up with the jones.
I feel it's sad that people feel they need to have plastic surgery to feel good about themselves, this is what gives kids a complex about themselves and that they feel not good enough which is very sad and superficial instead of teaching them to love and accept themselves and teach them to be the best version of themselves through diet and exercise and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder you decide who you feel is beautiful and who is right for you thankfully the world is big and not everyone everywhere is so superficial and don't have a standard for what your face shape should be like etc.and just age gracefully that is the best part of getting old you don't care and just do things the way you want just enjoy your life on your terms don't care so much about crazy societal beauty standards God gave you a brain to think and make your own decisions . Someone once asked me what I will do if someone asked me to have a boob job my answer was he better be big down there even if he was he will have to have surgery too and I get to decide what surgery he has to get if I decided to do it but probably not he will probably be replaced instead
People in Korea are beautiful even without plastic surgery and this makes it even worse that their beauty standards are not healthy (sorry😢) and cause too much methal health issues on young people. They feel not good enough the way they are. And we're not talking about a little botox kinda stuff bur surgeries. People should not feel such a pressure to do so Just because of Beauty standards. These are not healthy and dangerous. A surgery should not be considered at all as a normal beauty procedure. It's a procedure to be done If it's necessary for medical reasons and still then theres a certain risks you have to accept then, but not to please peoples beauty standards 😢
The majority of people in the world are naturally average looking. Most people aren’t naturally very beautiful. It’s very rare for a Korean to be born naturally fitting their beauty standards to a *T*.
This was enlightening and very enjoyable to watch, I've been busy so couldn't stay caught up with all you guys, but today I saw you all after so long and it was like seeing old friends!! Much love to you allll!! 😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hello, I lived in America for a few years, and during my time there I got to know many communities, especially Koreans (Koreans and Korean Americans). I noticed that Koreans from South Korea do a lot of surgeries and they are obvious because people have become familiar with the appearance of people around the world. Also, some of them lie about the surgeries and some of them are frank. I think the problem here is that because society is accustomed to surgeries and considers them something normal and natural, they live a false life that is not socially relevant. This also creates a problem in the future in the event of childbirth, as the children will ask if this is normal or not and do the same thing. Please don't be upset, but they need to know the truth, especially Koreans, a very closed society. This is what I learned from them. All love and appreciation.
Really like the new setup! Great episode and start to season 2! Just wanted to say that the audio was really echo-y sometimes, especially in the beginning.. Also, the girls would keep trying to interrupt and talk over each other but it sounds a little chaotic when they don't let someone finish their thought.. 😂 and it sounds like the audio for this video was sped up to be faster at 1.2x or 1.5x??
Also plastic surgery is now a whole world/global wide phenomena, if people think only Korean does more then you are being biased and stupid. Lots of Latin America Pageant queens are very plastic too getting their face done and body done like fake boob and fake butt, and nobody seem to care about that plastic surgery trend in South America. Also South East Asia for example Thailand for example there is plastic craze going on too there like we know Thailand is the place to get surgery to become good looking ladyboy and stuff, and their doctors got skills there too. Also some Middle East and some part of Türkiye also got them plastic surgery places dedicated to western customers too. Also Hollywood and places like that are full of kinda plastic or wannabe folks too. Crazy overdone world we live in, is like keep up with the joneses just some go over board with it.
funny enough i feel like korea has made me less scared of plastic surgery and it made me realize it really isn't that big of a deal. i used to think during plastic surgery you have a high chance of dying on the table but i'm realizing it's not like that lol so now i'm more open to maybe getting plastic surgery in the future
"...gaslighting a korean guy" hahahaha 😂 such is life, David 😁 welcome back for season 2...and what a "touchy" topic to open the new season with. Respect to all 4 of you for the differing opinions/perspectives yet being jovial about it. As Kelsey said; it is about CHOICE. You can be in the game and live with consequences (good or otherwise), or you can opt to sidestep it and be cool about it (without hate or criticism to those in the game). May this new season be filled with laughters and broaden horizons. Hi Anna, Soobin 👋
Anna´s right. it is human nature. It is also a psychological process called the Halo Effect, or in more layman's terms: the beauty effect. that is one of the reasons why everybody wants to be beautiful, people considered more beautiful have, usually more privileges and favors from others. Beautty is usually considered around the world as harmonious facial features. So, it is true that there is a competition, even at an unconscious level, to be beautiful. Also true that life is not fair 😆🤣
It’s unfortunate but still important to acknowledge that a lot of cosmetic surgeries, like double eyelid procedures and nose jobs, often stem from feelings of inferiority that some people face. Many individuals want to change their appearance to fit what they believe are Western beauty standards. This isn’t just a thing in Korea; you can see similar trends in many former colonial nations and continents, like India, Mexico, and various African countries, where lighter skin tones are often preferred. Colorism is everywhere, and it always comes in the form of "whiter is better" and "darker is undesirable". For many people, there’s an unspoken understanding that being white can lead to greater acceptance, and speaking English well can boost that even more. While these feelings might not always be at the forefront of someone’s mind, the intensity of these trends in Korea really suggests that they exist on some level. When "corrective" surgery ends in the result with the person looking more Western, it should make you think. Most foreigners in Korea recognize it immediately, I can understand why some would want to deny it, but it is quite evident. I personally appreciate all people. The human race is made up of beautiful people of all persuasions. We have to learn to love ourselves and value others more.
they don't look more western what are you talking about. you know there are east asians who have natural double eyelids right? it's more about making the eyes look bigger instead of wanting to look european, get over yourselves.
Loved watching this. As a foreigner, it shed some light on a topic I really don’t know much about. Can you show us a before and after video when you get ULSERRA? Not sure how to spell that. lol!
Of course Botox is considered plastic surgery. In fact in the US, Botox is the first thing that comes to mind when you mention PS (along with fillers).
...only because those known to have gotten botox on traditional TV usually look freaky because they got other extreme procedures done alongside the botox, and botox is one of the few things we remember them getting as ignorant laymen. When done right, you normally would not even know someone got botox injections. We remember the freaks who got it, not the successful patients. Botox is a cosmetic procedure, NOT plastic surgery.
Hi David, The studio looks great, couches are so cute and the gang is back. Botox and skin treatments are more of a procedure and not plastic surgery bc there’s no cutting with a knife and faster recovery. Hope to see the results on Anna’s channel. And did Anna say, resting beech face, it caught me off guard and I laughed so hard. And I agree with Anna, sometimes you can tell if someone had some surgery. I would do the noninvasive things like Botox. In the states, people want Nicole Kidman’s nose and Angelina Jolie’s lips. I am shocked to hear the double eyelids wore off and the person had to do it again, wow. Face or body, what about the mind, personality and similar interests. Guys go for the looks. This one celebrity said he met a hot model and he called her a Ferrari but under the hood he said there was nothing.
I'm too afraid of needles and cutting nerves to undergo surgery for cosmetics.... I had ACL knee reconstruction sugeries, and when those nerves started lightning up while healing, the pain was terrible.
Loved your BIROSO Comercial. Very well done👌I hate commercials. I even payed a premium not to see them. So coming from me, complimenting your Comercial. It must be a good I guess. Wish you prosperity🎉.
In Korea, there is a culture where parents take the initiative to get their children to undergo plastic surgery. In Korean society, only appearance is important. What a sad society.
In my opinion. Needles isnt surgery. Surgery is going under , or being cut into. I had a boil in my back that they had to take the sac out or it would flare up. Its considered surgery because they cut deep.

this isn't an attack or anything against you, just wants to share my thoughts. Just saying if I sounded like it lmao.
@@Reverie_reveals How is plastic surgery helpful? Lol. Unless you're deformed or really ugly, what could possibly be the benefit? A lot of people with low self-esteem around here, who didn't do the right thing at the right age in terms of marriage.
One of the best KPC’s ever. Everyone had distinct and diverse opinions but also found consensus. Great banter and laughs
❤❤❤
I saw few people who moved to Korea and get insecurities about their face there and got plastic surgeries done. It's kinda sad tho. Even I felt pressure about aperans when I was there. Even thought myself confident
Sad to think people can be so superficial. No wonder people are so depressed and unhappy 🙄.
I've really missed these topic focused episodes. Your free flowing live streams with Anna is also very engaging. But I have a apecial place in my heart for these topic focused episodes.
Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone!!❤🎉
See you again soon!
Do you like the film: "Into the Wild" ?
Please come more often 🌌
I feel so scared for people who have undergone the pain and danger of jaw shaving surgery. I had jaw surgery for medical reasons (after accidental traumatic injury). For more then one year I was experiencing pain while chewing, consuming cold or hot food, working out and during weather change. I don't want anyone else to experience it.
Yikes. I hope you feel better
I’m also loving that we get to see Kelsey again 🥹 the Biroso ads are well done David. Proud of you 🫶🏾
Kelsey is well greeted :) Thank you !
The OG crew is back! New studio looking nice and happy to see season 2 arrive. Keep up the good work 👏
Great to see Kelsey again.
Plastic surgery is everywhere in the world. You don't have to conform to the beauty standards of wherever you are. It's a choice.
Monolids are actually cute, I dont understand the obsession for double eyelids.

Technically she's right, if you don't get cut opened it's not surgery. But realistically society uses the term "plastic surgery" for any medical procedure with the purpose of altering your appearance.
Dang its like Kelsey knows the stats well. Anyways good to see her back .

Love your new studio setup! Also, love that it's the OG gang is back to kick off season 2!!
@@UniverseTruth-e4m you are so triggered. ego definitely hurt

Plastic surgery is for people who had accidents and physical traumas, the correct term is Cosmetic Surgery
oh? i think it's a commonly used term here tho
But it’s true to the rest of the civilized world plastic surgery should be a term for some who needs to correct a situation. Cosmetic surgery is for vanity purposes and that’s what most of these procedures are.
Plastic just means changing which is the point of cosmetic surgery. I think cosmetic surgery could be a sub category of plastic surgery
Yes Kelsey is. & sans make-up too.
Fillers might not be permanent, but it permanently deforms your face to where you have to keep getting them. If you don’t it will have results of saggy or puffy face.
Fillers never go away completely. Botox gives you a certain look because of the muscle freeze
Love Kelsey! She’s a star. I’ve missed her content.

My friend has mono-lids (her eyes look like small slits) so people are always asking if she’s sleepy. I can see how that gets really irritating bc people asked her if she’s sleepy everywhere we went.
its called ptosis and that calls for a surgery for medical reasons (with cosmetic benefits on the side *wink*)
I wish people have more love for others that are " not conventionally good looking". They are humans, too.
So happy to see Kelsey ❤
4:16 on a serious note i just wanna make a point that y’all really do not need that. Like, your skin is not loose or wrinkled or saggy. Idk the ins and outs of the treatment so it could be fine and preventative
Tbh I think the Asian monolid eyes are beautiful. ❤❤❤
The new setup is so pretty and aesthetic❤

The issue I find with it is the people who get the work done and aren't transparent about it in certain situations. I don't think you guys really understand the power of "social pressure" this puts on people, but I also get that it's your perspective.
Love the new set up ; the concept seems elevated ! Very interesting insights too
thank you !
Good for u! Nothing like just aging gracefully.
Someone once asked me what I will do if someone asked me to have a boob job my answer was he better be big down there even if he was he will have to have surgery too and I get to decide what surgery he has to get if I decided to do it but probably not he will probably be replaced instead

beautiful faces everywhere, beautiful hearts however, very hard to find this day n age 😢
Finally one of my favorite Korean related topic. They’re too real for this. More episodes and longer ones. While also pls get celebs in here

I really like listening to this core group, but with podcast microphones. The crisp sound just makes it 100x better. Still love the content, but I think I replay the podcast videos of this group over and over again.... :)
Yay Kelsey the korean is back ❤❤❤
Yez! Joy!
Great to see the old gang. Special welcome to Soobeanie and Kelsey!
Omg its Kelsey . i missed herrr
funny enough i feel like korea has made me less scared of plastic surgery and it made me realize it really isn't that big of a deal. i used to think during plastic surgery you have a high chance of dying on the table but i'm realizing it's not like that lol so now i'm more open to maybe getting plastic surgery in the future

Even cosmetic procedures like Botox to me is under the plastic “surgery” umbrella because you are physically altering your face, not like makeup.

welcome back for season 2...and what a "touchy" topic to open the new season with.
So excited that KPC is back, and with this squad too! Can you please fix your audio, tho? :D
It's ultimately self-hatred, in my perhaps over-simplistic view.
Thanks for this fun podcast. Enjoyed this topic! 😂💜
glad you enjoyed!
I'll be visiting Seoul again in a few weeks. I know this segment was about beauty, but I'm coming back for the food! Can't wait!
Really interesting topic with the OG crew ✨
I agree. Especially with the nose surgery that Kdrama actors get.
Loved watching this. As a foreigner, it shed some light on a topic I really don’t know much about.

Loveeee the new backdrop!

Hi David,
The studio looks great, couches are so cute and the gang is back.
So cozy, love the setup
soobeanie is glowing. So beautiful.

Kelsey is such a vibe
In Korea, there is a culture where parents take the initiative to get their children to undergo plastic surgery. In Korean society, only appearance is important. What a sad society.
There’s a song by Carly Simon song titled “you are so vain”. Listen to that song.
In my opinion. Needles isnt surgery. Surgery is going under , or being cut into. I had a boil in my back that they had to take the sac out or it would flare up. Its considered surgery because they cut deep.
very interesting topic today
i never knew the pressure in korea was that serious. I don't think my mental health would be good if I grew up in korea
