Hi, I lost 1 mill in shares, used charts, attended meetings, read books, but still failed, but still own 4 investment property's, I am in pension mode and looking for income Property returns are low, I am selling a property. Will have about 2 million, looking at etfs, learning, I am advised by friend to let Ord minett manage etfs for me My accountant also manages etfs and wants my money to invest, big firm no problem there, but my question I guess is should I just pick my etfs, or is it safer and better to let a expierenced firm like Ord minett do it for me After loosing 1 million in stocks mainly because if GFC I am nervous to invest outside property Plan might be to put funds into super fund over time, and buy etfs theu super in pension mode... Ord minett or myself or keep property stay safe.?...help, thanks
Owen l was quite surprized when you said if some one gave you $10Mill you would put most of it in to ETFs , does this mean you would sooner invest in ETFs than the usual stock market shares ? Also can l ask what ETFs would you be going for ? I have been a share holder in the passed but never been in to ETFs but now learning about them and at retiring age and health not 100% so looking to sell some com property and invest in the market and now learning more about these ETFs and very interested to learn more before i am to commit to it .
