Thank you Delvin. You see a lot of the Changing The Guard content, I'm sure I saw a video the other day that had the Irish Guards Band in 6's think it was from last Friday, haven't been able to find the video since then, did you see it?

@@MrBaton74 You're most welcome MrB! Hmmm, I haven't watched that video yet, or at least I don't remember seeing one with the Bands in 6's. I'll try and see if I can find it.

Thank you, I try to get as much content as I can in the video. Sorry won't be going to the State visit I'm afraid, so do not know what the timings are.

I've noticed both in London & Windsor, that the gap between band & Guard seems larger than it used to be. I wonder if it's deliberate?

its not deliberate it's just depends on how soon the band starts to march compared to the guard realistically it should be much closer

I saw a video the other day where the guards were practically up on the band’s back, but that’s very seldom

It must be difficult for these Ghurka Riflemen to have to drill in a completely alien way after their normal Light Infantry drill but they do quickly adapt and I think look far more uniform in the movements. There are no Guards "affectations" and quirks that you see that people who have never drilled will not notice. But nitpickers like me see them all the time and the one that gets to be most is when the arm is straight up and back the WRIST is turned OUT from the body!!!

Curious, are all light infantry regiments opting for this slower pace, or is it just the gurkhas? Also marching on the double is going to have a different meaning now.

Le capitaine de la compagnie A est grand en svp ! L'adjudant-chef n'est pas rigolo tout comme tous les adj-chef.
