    Whatever improvements tiu have mentioned is already implemented in the 5th gen si you should pit out a comment and pin it and also put it in the description so that people who are planning to buy this car should know...
    Engine noise coming inside is not improved

    After full of thinkng finally booked 4th gen over 5th gen...is it wise decision to book 4th gen now or change to 5th gen...pls share ur experience..

      Sorry to reply late on this.Every person has their opinion and views, and this is mine- It's the best decision. 5th gen interiors aren't as premium as last one. Moreover ground clearance has been decreased significantly. 4th gen looks are timeless, while the new one looks are good for about 5-6 years, won't look good in long run.

  • @rajatsethi3041
    @rajatsethi3041 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What about the ground clearance it scrapes during speed breakers right ?

    • @shreykhattar8041
      @shreykhattar8041  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 4th gen city that I own has better ground clearance than the current one, so it rarely scrapes. Probably 2-3 times in the past 4 years and that too when roads were really bad. I can't comment much about the latest one :)

    If u want the best engine (petrol)in the world (performance & reliability), Honda is the last name. But, to experience its real grunt, u hav to be the best driver in the world with a stick shift !!
    I got the same car, same variant.
    Being an enthusiast & keen auto observer this car has made me a supreme driver in any terrain road (arrow straight or twisty mountains).
    Its outstanding qualities like - stable chassis/ stiff suspension / precise steering turns (slow/soft response @ center head, but after wards its super fast responsive) / short shifting & tall gearing / short travel light clutch / aero design / light weight body (pros -sudden acceleration, cons - not stable beyond 140+) and the legendary Honda Vtec gasoline motor under hood always persuades me to tailgate/overtake even in many 45 degree corner turns !! (If visible)
    In mountain roads, I think only VW polo gives such par performance. Polo gives better/tight steering response at center head position and is better insulated and has more chassis weight (better high speed stability). But being less insulated & light weight, City often gives an exceptional fuel efficiency !! WRT polo AWA, City being Naturally Aspirated & PFI is better reliable in long run.
    I deliberately went for V verint just to get 15" rims that gives better plush ride than 16" coz got more rubber than steel. City is a kind of sports car ie meant for good roads. I often need to reduce the rear (non independent torsion beam)tyre pressure for better comfort in rough roads. I shifted frm stock Bridgstone B250 to Continental UC6 that gives less tyre noise and is little bit plush in ride. I changed from 175/65 to 195/55. If needed I can increase more comfort (increase sidewall hight)but that ruins the handling of the car. I only felt a negligible steering tightness, that too beyond 40+ speed.
    Another exceptional quality of city is its soft steering during slow city turns/ reverse turns that most VW cars don't offer. City is literally an allrounder in every parameters.
    As generation after generation, Honda City is loosing its enthusiastic charms. The 2nd gen Type 2 City may not have 4th gens engine performance, but it was a better driver/enthusiast oriented car in chassis dynamics. BTW 5th gen has soft suspension, softer steering & is less reliable due to GDI engine.
    Long story short - City has the best(wrt displacement)oversquare gasoline Engine currently available in the country !!

    • @devkumar-ph7pp
      @devkumar-ph7pp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shreykhattar8041 you won't get both (performance & comfort) at the same time.
      Especially 25 lakhs below. Coz most have torsion beams at back. So all we can expect is tyre suspension/thickness, where sedans usually is lesser comparing to SUV, MUV.
      In good roads at normal speed all cars(b/c/d,segments) feel same. It matters only in rough roads. That's not a manufacture fault. Honda city is meant for good urban conditions.
      BTW, from a brand perspective Globally
      Honda is considered as a reliable sports brand, where as Toyota is as a reliable passenger brand
      Ie the difference b/w a over square Vs under square engine or low profile Vs high profile tyre.
      One can never make a suspension very soft in a sedan wrt a tall boy car coz, is done if u over load the car it would simply sit on the ground. Else you should go for German multi link speed/weight sensible varying suspensions

      @@rajatsethi3041 hehehe, that not what I meant. If you are an enthusiast, and have a budget of about 20 lakhs, you can go for Virtus. If you want a family car which is unbreakable in the toughest of conditions, and extreme comfort,go for city. City is good on highways, it's just that pickup of Virtus 1.5 is superb, that's why it's a performance car.
