Emmrich's easily my favorite companion in the game by a country mile. Nick Boraine does a fantastic job voicing him and his variations and the Mourn Watch Faction dialogue is great!
While I think that Emmrich is the only companion in the Veilguard that is worth a damn, I am disappointed that he still pursues a relationship with Rook if he becomes a lich. It kind of goes against the whole lich thing...bad writing here. He should have only remained romance-able if he chose mortality. Also, Rook should have only continued to pursue him if he denied becoming a lich.
I mean, it’s actually tissue, but I guess even a liches get boners 💀 🦴 I’m punny and deceased. ⚰️ . .. . . … Ahem… seriously though. Did he at least use magic for the rest of his body?? I am genuinely so confused at how that even worked if the guy morphed back his head only. I thoroughly dislike the lich ending because his bony son deserved/s the world… Would she even conceive? I have so many unnecessary questions…!!
Yeah, that`s why stories were made, it allow us to experiment what if scenearios and understand why some things are dogma and some are not, so we can futher appreciate what we get. Anyway, Emmerich was a cool character, and the option of him become a lich, something that's beyond life and death and see him being able to express his feeling can teach us that love and kidness are not derived from our physcal parts, but from the soul.
