I like! The Cutwater 32CB finally has legitimate competition in features, performance and price. Though the Cutwater is still appx $100k-$150k less, far more trailerable, fly bridge, and bow/stern thrusters... This is a very compelling alternative. They should win a few awards with this boat design/presentation. I do have some concern about the Wellcraft hull design efficiency wise, it seems the boys at Fluid Motion are out tech-ing them. The Cutwater 32CB had basically the same top speed.. with only dual F300s. Both boats are about the same dimensions, same weight, but the hull on the Cutwater needs 400 less(40%) less HP to have the same performance?! I suppose that's the difference in the Cutwater having a stepped hull versus the traditional non stepped on the Wellcraft
The switches, the material, the dash layout, the faux wood, the interior latches the offset cabin. Everything is identically to Jeanneau the dash layout is 100% identical as Is the full electrical panel for switches and the dash rockers are setup the same as well as the same switches. The pop up now lights are the same as on the 43DB Jeanneau summer kitchen.
The Axopar is a great boat, however painfully falls short with the salon galley and head. This not a fair comparison. Axopar is more of a day boat really
Good point, you would have to have some pretty big power banks to run it without a generator. They should be engineering boats with the seakeeper as standard. I doubt there would be buyers opting out of having one at this pricepoint.
This Wellcraft has much better storage than Axopar 37. The head is also several levels better than the one in the Axopar 37. You would have to take Axopar 45 to get a decent toilet and some storage. Brabus has nice trim and cool details that sadly don't improve the boats usability.
@@jarkkohenriksson7866 Okay but even then the 45 is way less and better... The Brabus is just the icing on the cake in terms of perfomance (50 knots) and very seaworthy and it's not that much worse in terms of liveability and you have a much much much cooler boat with arguably a higher resale value...
@@jarkkohenriksson7866 I mean wellcraft is owned by Benneteau isn't it, if you get this over some of their own offerings jenneau/benneteau man idk what to say, even the entry level prestige in the same family is MUCH nicer, I liked this boat but then found out it costs well over 400k wth!
Brabus 500 is based on Axopar 28. It's base price is around 300k but It's a couple sizes smaller boat than Wellcraft 355. Brabus 900 is based on Axopar 37 and it's base price is around 750k so the similar size Brabus is way more expensive than the Wellcraft. Base Axopar 37 is of course a lot cheaper than Brabus. In the video you can see that the Wellcraft has an inclosed toilet with a separate shower and a hanging locker. Axopar 37 hasn't got either of those. What it means is that if you take your backpack or a jacket boating with you, you have to store it on the bed, on a seat or on the floor. You can't take a shower inside Axopar. Your toilet is either under the front cabin seat or the enclosed version blocks the front cabin access from the pilot house when used. Study the layouts or visit the boats.
This is the same price as a Brabus (axopar) shadow 500 like guys at wellcraft, you guys have lost the plot! This boat should not have been a cent over 250k!
Kind of weird how a 36’ boat with outboards doesn’t have enough lazarette space for both a generator and Seakeeper?
They do say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so congrats to Axopar on a great boat 😉.
Learned how to ski behind a Wellcraft in 1978 😁
THE BEST DESIGNED BOAT I'VE EVER SEEN! EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE, I LOVE IT!!! THE CABIN IS FANTASTIC! LOOKS LIKE A HOTEL ROOM.
Nice looking boat indeed. Oh, and Captain Steve got his tape measure back. Perfect.
Thank you. This boat hadn't been on my radar.
I love this boat!
🥰
At first glance I thought I was looking at an Axopar. The Wellcraft 355 looks amazing... pricey, but amazing.🥰
Ein tolles Ding! Sensationell 😊
Great job Captain Steve! See you offshore 😊👍
That is such a practical from a company is known to make outrageously fast boats

This has bow thruster too. Not sure if as standard, but you can see the hole in the bow. This also has the helm side door which is a huge bonus.
What I hear the name wellcraft I think of Don Johnson and his scarab
The offset side decks would drive me nuts, reminds me of the "crooked pilothouse"

Hey Captain Steve, does it make sense to put sharrow props on this?
AT 5K per prop! If you have to ask, then it doesn't make sense!
There’s obviously a market if they’re going after Axopar, but the price!

How do you run the sea keeper without a generator.

Insane 400k price tag, this or a Brabus shadow 500. Completely priced out of the market!!!

Me gusta muchísimo. Es el barco perfecto para disfrutar.
Well hello Axopar!
Wellcraft appears to going after and taking cues from AXOPAR.

Wonder how the sharrow propeller would work on a her?
for that price I rather get a nimbus C11 and save like 300k. oh yea and the nimbus is bigger.
So true, savings would be like 200k though but still !!!
The wife is happy. A dry head 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I find nothing appealing about this boat and yes it looks like a commuter boat running across the Hudson river,
