Hey!!! I am a trainer as well and really enjoy watching you train these kids with fundamentals. I wish there were more trainers like you out there. Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks for note. I tell dad's all the time WORK and INTRODUCE the game to them from early on, as far as when to begin actual training: 8 & up, the kid has to love the game and WANT to get better. Otherwise we may have the opposite effect in making them hate this great game. End of day, introduce and continue to work with him in coming years!
Coach, I teach both depending on how defense is guarding US, counters on top of counters. Key principle - getting inside shoulder to defenses hip! Thanks for insight, good luck in season. - SL
varsity h.s. coach here... Nice drills, lots of activity... well done... quick opinion question: I see you teaching the high rip (Kobe)... do you prefer it to the shoestring rip or do you teach both?
Hey man very nice Training Camp ... I just have a question though. What is the best age for a kid to start training basketball? I have a five year old and he can throw a basketball now probably about 6 feet but still not enough to hit the rim ... so I'm wondering if he's still too young for training.
