Instead of the stone-off you should re-introduce two "lucky losers" - the two third place finishers with the most points and then have 12 people in the finals instead of 10. Back in the day this did not work properly, because the average level of the competitors was not high enough, but seeing as the level is as high as ever today it would be perfect now! Without spoiling anything especially one of the competitors who failed to go through the stone-off in 2021 could have easily made the top-three of the competition if he had made it to the finals. The stones strongly favor tall guys. Thanks for all the work you do to promote the sport! :-)
I agree! I first watch WSM when the opening scene had Atlas holding the world. I just recently found the newer Strongman competitions and I am HOOKED! I love the strength achieved by all competitors!
Aivars did so well all through the qualifiers and lost out on the dumbass stone-off. It really is the worst event imo. If you want to do stones, fine, but all the atheltes should be able to do it and it should be counted the same as any other event
@@sebastianogrigoletto1206 it is very fair, imagine the guy in third is 10 point behind and goes to the final just for being better at one event! There must be at least an incentive to fight for second place

Never!!!!!!!! Lifting stones are the most historic thing in strongman. Humans have been measuring strength by lifting stones for hundreds of years.

Whoever starts first has to raise more to win. The second one needs to raise the same amount to win.
If they have raised the same amount, then let them begin to raise the lightest stone by the amount.
