    I know you can't really rush it because nobody want to put out an underdeveloped product....buuuut...hurry up and release this game, I am dying to play it lol. This literally looks like everything I've ever wanted in a railroad sim.

    Very much looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. One question though, if playing single player, will there be AI activity to interact with, it could be very lonely if not. Roll on next year...

      No current plans to share regarding AI trains. Certainly something we're thinking about though.

      If I were to implement AI trains, I would make them hireable on a per job basis, and scale the price according to the number of crews currently hired, size of the job, and the size/complexity of the locomotive. That way it would be too expensive to run all your trains using the AI crews, so you can’t rely on them completely.

    OMG, A DEV WHO LISTENS!??? You are so far ahead of most all sims already with quality sounds! Immersive experience comes from sound and effects, not just a pretty 3d model. Without the sound, the POWER of running a real steam, and the SMOKE, VAPOR, WATER, COLOR VARIATION, VOLUME, And the details of hang time, wind even, a sim/game is nothing but a copy cat of all the other dated titles. If you do all that, TAKE MY MONEY! I'm FULL IN! LOL. Good luck and I truly pray you will be the first to nail the particle emitter details properly! You got the point about sound, I'm eager to see what you do with effects! (NEVER SAW A REAL TRAIN EMIT SNOW BALL CARTOONS OF SMOKE< LOL)

    is there a third person view for the engineer?

      There are two cameras: first person and an overhead/strategy camera which can be snapped to a car if you like.

    Okay I am curious. for all sounds, but mostly the whistle and bell, did you sample them from prototypes?
