Have this one on the shelf and am excited to try it. This is probably my favorite Pantheon. Mostly due to Kevin Hearns Iron Druid Chronicles, I highly recommend any of the series he writes.
The card drafting and manipulating cards in front of you reminds me of an old worker placement game called Spyrium. I LOVED that game, so I may have to give this one a shot.
Honestly my biggest critique of the game is that I wanted the theme to be stronger. Maybe that's the same hesitancy you're feeling. But I too can definitely see me getting this to the table for years to come.
Well... that shook out a few loose Fox Kids memories. Power Rangers but the Sentai portions had even LESS budget because the American studio was making everything from the ground up!
@@tangogal1 TEER-nan-OHG, as Wikipedia transcribes it. Sounds like he gets it right at 1:13. EDIT: Looks like the back the rulebook has a pronunciation guide, where it's written 'TEER nah NOHG'.
Scorecards have a couple mathematical errors on them and the rule book’s glossary was insufficient. It was unclear whether some of the cards were once-per-turn because it didn’t say so on the card yet appeared to say so in the index

Love this game! They just launched a reprint Kickstarter campaign with a new expansion as well.
Chris, I can confidently say that the solo mode is excellent! The drafting is so unique, I'm really impressed with it!
Excited to try it! Rules looked clean and I coukd see it being a lot of fun. Thanks for the recommendation! -Chris
I'm only here because you put _Celtic Frost_ in the title. 🤘

Couldn’t care less about the theme. But the gameplay looks fabulous.
Tom, your pronunciation of Tír na nÓg is very good!
When I saw the cards, I thought it reminded me a bit of Secret of the Kells by Cartoon Saloon. Happy to hear Chris say something similar.
Man Tom, you need to read "The Iron Druid Chronicles" to learn more about It Na Nog :p great book series! Especially the audiobooks.

"Tear (like crying) na nohg (like the house of Mohg in Star Trek!)"

I came here to say the same thing!
@@JorWat25 close enough.
@@JorWat25 He does. Best phonetic match is “tear na nogue” in my opinion.
Nóg rhymes with rogue :)
This game is fun
I can see an AP problem for this game. Looking at there hand and what card to take from the grid. Then this game could take to long for what is.
