uploading for 15 months we are so blessed
あはみろれらやら…らはま
To me, it starts at 0:17.
Are you able to make a PDF available ? Thanks
Bruh is absolutely ripped and throwing out the most dank keyboard solo ever. Goals.
Piano
Don't forget the hair
His eyes at the end 😂
I need a gospel shred band in my life
This guy played piano at Simon and Garfunkel’s concert in Central Park, his rendition of BOTW still gets me every time I hear it
He knows how to pump like Richard Tee.
he watched the vulf tutorial that's why
Sharing for the (few) folks who haven't heard: Woody Goss (from Vulfpeck) interpolated one of Richard Tee's legendary piano solos and used it as the B section in the Vulfpeck song Tee Time. That solo is here: th-cam.com/video/l2mJd6S_EpQ/w-d-xo.html and it is absolutely worth your time if you haven't seen it yet.
Woody also did a lil' piano tutorial on how to play in that style
th-cam.com/video/M4hngeouu8U/w-d-xo.html
Just finished watching it….and my good Sir, you were absolutely right when saying it’s worth the time, and I encourage EVERYONE to check it out!
Thanks so much! The sax solos are also nothing to sneeze at! :)
I hadn't heard of Richard Tee before that song, and after watching some of his performances like this I couldn't believe how accurately Vulfpeck recreated this very performance. Pretty incredible.
ahhhhhh, that's why I thought this sounded like vulfpeck, cuz they straight up quote it lol. thats awesome!
Richard tee is an absolute hidden gem. Most people don't know his name but you've already heard him, he was a high profile session musician who worked with huge artists (he played keys on Just the Two of us for example). Take the time to listen to Richard Tee's solo albums, they are an incredible blend of funk, jazz, r&b, and soul with equally incredible playing. Sadly they aren't on most streaming platforms so you'll have to do some digging, but I can promise you that it'll be more than worth it.
Played keys at Simon and Garfunkel's Concert in Central Park too!
@@NYCJazzFan bridge over troubled water was legendary
Also “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan and later Whitney Houston
ok but that heartbeat on the kick drum tho 👀
Steve Gadd pumpin as always
so good, so consistent, aaaaaaaaa
Very hard to do. I've tried.
I like the part where he said, "It's Tee time," and then broke his piano in half.
Vulfpeck reference?
@@NubblyTheSlime Ye, it's been a year since I made that comment but I think I was trying to capture some Dunkey energy along with that Vulf allusion...
that falling then rising sequence from 0:17 really tickles my brain
Also it sounds like baby shark
@@bwaybig stop 😢
@bragtime1052 the truth bears a weight
one of my favourite details is at 1:28 when he mouths "OKAY" at the band, as if they were letting him a variable number of 8-bars to solo and he decided to yield? this whole album is a masterclass.
Most of the transitions in this show are smooth and instant, as if had every note perfectly planned in advance, yet you still have some indications that they were groovin. I just don't get it. It's awesome
Live music never ceases to amaze
He can play and probably lift that piano
That drum and piano went so well.
Steve Gadd and Richard Tee gotta be one of the greatest musical duos ever. They have such a full sound with just 2 instruments, check this out th-cam.com/video/MBCDqUuQWDI/w-d-xo.html
Thats the legendary steve gadd on drums so no wonder
That head nod at 0:19. He was like “Oh yeah, I’m feeling it now” XD
Take a shot every time a comment mentions Vulfpeck’s Tee Time
I guess they didn't call it Tee Time for nothing.
He always got that church flavor in everything he plays. So good.
Dude, you picked my absolute favourite piano solo of all time. Thank you so much 💚
The chord progression is so god damned uplifting! The drummer's kick drum work is REALLY great too!
Now I understand Vulfpeck's Tee Time
Crazy ass accompaniment. Those fingers!!!❤️🔥
Thank you so much for shining light on Richard Tee and Stuff.
Please check out this whole performance if you haven’t already people. Stuff- Live at Montreux
Everyone digging this should check out his solo on Love the Stuff/Ain't no mountain high enough (live in NY)
Dude when I first heard the solo on Love the Stuff/Ain't No Mountain High Enough I immediately thought of this! Damn Stuff is such a great band!
i found an even better version of it. on "signed sealed delivered" on Gadd Gang's 1988 record here & now there is basically the same solo @@remmer9964
The first time I heard Richard Tee play piano, I was like, "Goddamn it, nobody plays like Richard Tee does!" And sure enough, I was right.
That's exactly what I'm subscribed for. Thank you mate
Lot's of good blues/gospel context in this one. Thanks George!
Man! Why don't we have a full album of your beats on streaming yet? 😂❤ Jaw on the floor. Unbelievably smooth!
Dudes playing it with his eyes closed. Straight up filthy.
Love that you did something from Richard Tee and Stuff :)
George: “I won’t make a transcription there’s already one”
Few months pass

Please do his intro on "Oh happy day" from this concert. To this day it's my favorite work ever recorded on piano
That whole song and transition to ode to stuff! I don't have the vocabulary to say how great it is
This is the bomb holy shit
Thank you and the Algorithm for showing me Richard tee
yeah I would say finding this live at montreux show at random 2yrs ago tipped the scales towards me learning the piano
YEAH, TEE TIME!
reminds me of Keith Jarrett's solo concerts, when he would get into some sort of happy groove
Now I understand why the song from Vulfpeck is called "Tee Time"
I keep replaying this
What a player. Great guy too. RIP.
Damn this reminds me of Tee Time by Vulfpeck
tee time was a tribute to this performer
This is an insane performance.
I kinda want that “Stuff” shirt tbh
It's so beautiful
Hello there professor Goss
Sometimes the ivories don't get tickled, they get finger banged
Reading this comment in the voice of Picard made it better.
Who's going to say he sounds like Woody Goss? :)
Tee is a total Goss ripoff.
