Me and my friend decided to do something. We would listen to each other's favourite band/singer. My friend would listen to Led Zeppelin, while I would listen to Marina and the Diamonds. They were quite different bands, and we thought it would be a good idea to listen to completely different music. For all the people who are convinced FROOT is a flop -_- just hear me out for a second. We live in a world full of ignorance it's hard to make it anywhere. Marina wrote the whole album herself which is definitely not easy to do on your own in the slightest especially nowadays with the amount of songs that are being made every day which not to mention are sounding the same and just repeating and ugh so tired. I've listened to some of Marina's other albums and they're good for sure but I really love the sound Froot gives off. She just sounds so much more confident and the entire album gives a 'calm after the storm' feel that makes me happy.

I really wished Marina released this as a single and made a video with it. four years ago... i remember when this album was first dropped. i was in eighth grade. middle school i discovered marina; perfect timing. the majority of freshman year was being immersed in her. so much had happened that year. so very much. going back to that time triggers such strong emotions, and this song has such a very strong, clear, FROOT vibe that it immediately sends me spiraling back to that time god that is such a trip

Okay so I was dancing during the chorus and the exact moment that she said "YOU CAN'T PIN ME DOWN!!" i had fallen and my bed hit my hip so i couldnt get up bc of the pain...THE PAIN PINNED ME DOWN
four years ago... i remember when this album was first dropped. i was in eighth grade. middle school i discovered marina; perfect timing. the majority of freshman year was being immersed in her. so much had happened that year. so very much. going back to that time triggers such strong emotions, and this song has such a very strong, clear, FROOT vibe that it immediately sends me spiraling back to that time

I know she's a feminist, but I think that line was kind of dissing both sides. Like she's saying, you can't pin her down. I took it as her shrugging off both titles (feminist/housewife) and saying, "I may be one or the other, but don't expect it from me."

Feminism is literally just both genders having the choice to do what they want without being weighted down by stereotypes or the existence of anything that won't permit them to perform equally, like laws, etc.

I don't know where you've been because she got insanely popular after releasing EH. She has something like 50mill. views on primadonna. Fame hasn't changed her so far, she's still genuine. Yeah, and it’s my most fave album from Marina.
I mean Electra Heart is objectively better. It knew it's genre and the character it was trying to portray and proceeded to do so in the most savage angst written way I've ever seen in my life. But if masterpieces were easy or common they would not be speacial.
