I recommend lots of eating together for the cats works well especially with food motivated cats everyone has their own bowl can start out with a little space from each other but eating together and connecting the new kitten with something positive like food. worked well for me when my cats had a fall out. mandated family meals haha

I’ve been hoping/wanting you to give us a health update but I haven’t wanted to ask because of course that’s very personal and not my business lol. It’s just that I’ve also been having health issues since 2020 so it’s helped me feel less alone when you update us on yours tbh.

For the pride and prejudice frame do a nice pleasant color (mustard, lilac, sage, etc) and then put some pressed flowers or really thin ribbons on the side

You can trim the top to balance the edges a little bit. That frame is very pretty. Don’t forget to read for fun, too!
Honnêtement, pas besoin de faire tous nos objectifs rapidement. J'ai remarqué qu'après des périodes difficiles, on se brule à force d'essayer de retourner rapidement à la ''normalité''.
La clé est de respecter son rythme et de s'assurer que les pas qu'on fait nous rend heureux. Le simple fait que tu aies dresser une liste d'objectifs est énorme!

I can't believe shelters are charging a fee for dropping off animals. People will just dump them on the side of the road in that case and the problem will be 10x worse. And the fees for fixing your pets are outrageous.

lol as someone with curly hair, I start cutting my own hair during Covid and haven’t gone back😂 I don’t do a GREAT job but the curls really hide a lot of mistakes
I've also been cutting my own hair since 2020. 😄 Hard to go back when it looks perfectly okay and considering how much money you save!
omg same, started cutting my own hair over three years ago, and the fact that my hair isn't straight and mistakes are generally pretty hidden just encourages me to keep doing it myself lol

I've been cutting my hair myself since COVID. I was petrified the first time then rolled with it 😂 and I keep a near neck-length bob which makes it scarier. Thankfully it worked out and saved me lots of money 👍

The new kitten is so cute! The best part of introducing a kitten is that they don’t seem to care too much if the others hiss or growl. They are kind of like “I’m here so you have to love me!” Lol. Cheering you on as you make progress toward your goals!
You can always get a custom mat cut at a framing store, to fill the gaps around a piece of art, cheaper than a new frame 🖼️
I feel you with the health issues! Self diagnosis is VERY valid. I diagnosed myself with Endometriosis 12 YEARS before any doctor did. I also got an out of nowhere idiopathic hypersomnia diagnosis this month. And that specialist suspects I have a couple other things. 😅 I swear you get diagnosed with 1 thing and you get others for free. Do you have a nickel allergy? I can’t wear any earring besides silver/gold/titanium as everything else, even the “hypoallergenic” ones bother my ears and make them crusty so my dr thinks it’s a nickel allergy. It is exhausting not having answers. Good luck! I really like the name Chip for the new guy ❤

Make sure all vitamin b’s are taken by lunch time at the latest as they give energy to the mitochondria and red bloods cells. Also, vitamin d should be take. Earlier in the day as that can cause insomnia as well if taken on the evening. Hope you get some sleep soon!

I'm getting back together afer 1,5 year being very catious and careful about everything (coughing, squeezing, carring, bowing head etc.) after spine injury so I understand your feeling and willingness to get back to life. Small steps and it'll be allright eventually :D
Your hair is so healthy and pretty! I didn't realize it was that long! Sometimes a change is uplifting though. And it's been so hot. I have long hair, too, and cut about 8 inches off last week - glad I did!

Had really long hair for a long time. I cut off about 35cm earlier this summer and it's so nice 😅 Dries a lot quicker and my head doesn't feel as heavy when the hair is wet 😅
I'm so glad that you are starting to feel better! Don't be too tough on yourself if you have a setback or have to take it a bit slower than you would like, though - living with long-term and/or chronic illnesses is hard, and it can be difficult to balance your energy levels with all the things you want to do.
i recently found out that i have moderate sleep apnea, which some people might think is sad but im so excited to try treatments and see if THIS will finally help my day to day life!
Two nonfiction books that had amazing storytelling- Stranger in The Woods; the extraordinary story of the last true hermit by Michael Finkle and Trail of the Lost; the relentless search to bring home the missing hikers of the Pacific Coast Trail by Andrea Lankford. I highly recommend both of these especially to people who usually prefer fiction, the stories in both these are very compelling
I just read Trail of the Lost (got a signed copy even.) very interesting though a few times I wanted to say "hey, maybe don't do that..."
Regarding vitamin B, I take a B12 supplement in the morning with breakfast and NEVER later than that. I prefer skipping a day if I forgot to take it. I don't know about the other vitamin B or complex though. Good luck! ❤

I'm in my "Get it together" mode too. So tired of feeling like junk.
That cat clip is definitely promising. If you take it a little slower and let them figure it out on their own they will welcome new baby just fine. Especially because they have already had contact with him and it wasn’t that bad at all. Maybe back it up a little like you said and even smaller play sessions for like 10 minutes or so around each other and then give them some space!
It's been over two weeks now and things are okay. A bit more hissing than I would prefer when they're playing but to be fair he's a bit annoying in the morning and won't leave them alone lol They're not cuddling yet but there aren't any growling or fights so I'm happy!
Fingers crossed for the little guy! I hope he will be accepted by the other cats.

I can relate so much to the jewelry thing! During a really bad period of my life I wouldn't wear any at all (even though I've always loved to wear some, but I just couldn't see myself in it or didn'e bother. Pain can make you stop doing almost everything you like. I also let my hair grow longer than I could take care of, so I chopped it short in one go (I'm not a short hair type of girl so I regretted it instantly... It took me years to feel myself again after that)
Long story short, I'm so happy to hear that you have reached that moment in which you can start to get your life together and feel like yourself again. Also, I hope that the cats get along with the kitty very soon!

I've been feeling down since 2012 because of chronic illness. I often don't dare to say it because I know people with chronic illness get a lot of hate. Glad you are feeling better and health issues stinks.😊
I have really long hair too and it’s true that it doesn’t really matter if you mess up because it’s still long 😁 when I cut it I use the technique where you put your hair in a ponytail at the front of your head and trim it 😂 the process looks really silly but adds a little bit of layers
I feel you with the wanting to finally get your ish together! My health is sucky too but I’m trying to make little changes so that medical professionals will think I’m “trying” and listen to me.
My ear piercings had also closed like that, for about seven years. And then one day I was messing around and got earrings through both holes. I did the biggest happy dance and have bought all sorts of fun earrings in the last two years. Haven't had issues with gunk since.

I’m literally living for the consistent posting 😫💗 also what a coincidence, my right ear’s piercing is closed. It’s been a couple years since I stopped wearing earrings so I assume both of them would be closed but when I discovered the left side is still open like a month ago, i immediately put an earring in lolll I look a little insane with only one earring but I’m yet to get the other side reopened haha
It took me a couple of months to get a new cat introduced to where my other cats were ok. So just take your time a d keep at it!
I know this didn't quite go as planned but i love the little improvements! You are right: it's harder to start so just keep going! Slow but steady sometimes is best!
Also, i don't know what you mean with the earing tools but... please don't use those automatic matchine thingies, they are not great at all! Concider a sterilized needle, going to a piercer or just "opener" earings. I'm not sure what you call those in english but they have a sharp point and are usually gold or other metals that are fine for a new piercing

Hi :) I don’t have much to add tbh. My jaw are totally fine. I’m still wearing Invisalign due to one of my canine that keeps moving even with my permanent retainer tho 😂
Yeah I had a rough first half. Had to get my kidney removed but feeling a way better. Getting myself back.
With that long hair, did you consider maybe donating it to charity? Not sure if it's done in your country, but in my country there are charities that make wigs for people with cancer from donated hair. But that would probably be much more hair than you plan to cut (30 - 40 cm I think is minimum).
you can also encourage them to play together (a ball or something) just in case you haven’t tried that..
I've been taking magnesium with my main meal for a few months, the smallest dose available, and it's really helped with my anxiety, but mainly with insomnia. I've learnt there are different forms of magnesium, some cheaper than others, and doctors will usually recommend one or the other depending on your needs.
Love baby tuxie. If you have an art store, you could get a frame mat cut for the photo to make it look pro. They are pretty cheap. You can also get frame mats for pretty cheap online, but it won't be custom.
I've been slacking so much on my nonfiction books. Ive only read 1 and my goal is 12. 😅 Hopefully the rest of the year will give us all the nonfiction.

I think One Dark Window and the sequel are considered "New Adult" which is why it's got writing that reminds you of YA but characters who are adults.

You were right; it was a thriller done right. I read it in one day. The second one ( Drak Corners), I am not sure. I would love to hear your thoughts. And the wall is looking great, and honestly, the frame could not have been more perfect. If you plan to paint the frame, maybe try a complementary color other than green.. I feel your style is very much like Caroline Winkler here on TH-cam. She has some fabulous DIY ideas, and you can for sure give them a go.

Try letting the new cat have freedom in the house and put the other three in the bathroom, this can help with territorial behaviour because it feels less like the three own the space. Just do it for short bursts of time, 10 or 20 mins, two or three times a day. The new cats smell will be more prevalent and will hopefully help the other three adjust to him being there.

It makes me so sad to see all these fur babies needing a home. My friend found 2 litters in her neighborhood and she is trying to rehome them. She is keeping one, but she already has 2 cats and was like I CANNOT keep them all 😂

Check out Brad Mondo, he did a cutting your own hair tutorial. I recommend them as i used them to cut my own hair and haven't ruined it. Also buy priper hairdressing scissors!!!!!

I can't believe how much vets in your area charges to neuter cats! I'm in the US and it costs around $100 to $400 max. How do they justify charging $1k to $2k?
It’s due to a lack of vet tech from what I understand. Doesn’t help that people from the bigger city (with the crazy prices) are coming here so our prices are going up and there’s no availability anymore. I won’t pay 2k but it will be more than 400$. That’s why there are so many strays :/
Sounds like vet prices are insane in Canada. Here (France) we paid 100-150€ (can’t remember the precise account) to neuter + chip our cat

I have had great success integrating kittens with adult cats. Adult cats with adult cats is more difficult.

Wow, I'm sorry, here in America, it is $250 to get your dog neutered, but I believe more for a cat's.
Here in Sweden it's around 100 USD for a cat, so these prices (especially where Emily lives) sound wild! Everything with dogs is more expensive here though, but still only around 400 USD for dog neutering.

Please do not use a piercing gun. They are really really bad for your ears. I would suggest going to a piercer. Chances are the hole is not closed especially if you’ve had your ears pierced as a baby. if you don’t want to go to a piercer use a sterile needle. Please just don’t use the piercing gun/tool.
