I remember this. It was Mardi Gras. I live in Camarillo and drove down to the beach in Oxnard to see if I could capture some lightning photos. I saw a few C-Gs on the way there, but when I got to the beach, it was all in-cloud.
I saw this storm from the distance but I didn't really hear the thunder just pearly heard thunder but rain in our area I live in the eastern portion of Los Angeles but didn't really hear any thunder at I saw the lighting intense like a light show but still no thunder in our area and pearly hear the thunder from the distance the only thing that happen in our in that time it was very very windy like winds hitted or batters up from 35 to 55 mph in fact it made a mess on the canape and knock out some power from very strong wind that it rain light to moderate briefly than like 12:37 am it poured and winds slightly stronger than later around up 1:00 am winds calm down by a lot like wind were 15 mph at that time

Around 4:34-4:51 it sound like it's hailing was it hailing or it just rain
by the sound for sure hail
