I just replaced the one in my daughter's 2013 Cruze. The part cost me $26 on Amazon and about 15 minutes of my time. Took it for a test drive after and the blinker returns back after making the right and left turns. Saved myself a good amount of money. Thank you for the video. I did see the other video where he talks about disconnecting the air bag, what???? Once again thank you.
I have a 2013 Malibu that uses the same switch. Saw another video saying you need to remove the airbag and steering wheel so I tried this repair figuring nothing to lose (no way I was taking my steering wheel off). Had the whole switch swapped out and working in less than 30 minutes. What a huge help!!! THANK YOU
So the motor mount needs to come off to replace the belt, but the part that breaks maybe twice in the car's lifetime can be done in 2 minutes with 1 socket. I hate working on this car. Very helpful video!
Great video! I'm having the same problem and was sure I'd have to take the car to the dealership to get the turn signal repaired. I'm a DIY kinda guy. So, this simple repair video will come in quite handy. Thanks! (BTW, although the Cruze is considered to be a "throw-away car," I've really like it. I've done most every repair myself. With lots of TLC, I'm up to 208415 miles and still going strong. (Oh, and you're right. That plastic coolant valve is worthless! I changed mine to the metal version.)
Do you know if I replace it, will my blinker stay off when not on. To be more specific when I have my blinker on and then make my turn it always turns on my right blinker and I have to give it a little tap downward to turn it off
Maybe you can help me, I have a couple turning signals out I’ve replaced the bulbs they still aren’t working. Do you think it could need a fuse replaced?

This is possibly the best video I’ve seen in my 87 years of living

Thank you for this video Austin, visiting my daughter in Florida and their Chevy needed the indicator replaced.
Perfect video I needed, with out the need to remove the air bag and steering wheel. I have the same problem with my '14 cruze.
This fix worked for a 2013 Malibu LS. Thanks for saving me money. Chevy dealer is $80+ for the part alone!
2024! Thank you getting this replaced to pass down to my son.
