I don't see any one who suggested this. Boil some water on the stove and hold the bluegill bait tail only in it until you get a plyable tail. This works for stiff baits I buy. Just don't leave it in too long. Good video as usual
Brenden Miller, you should do a challenge on a jawbone baitcasting rod that I saw a few days ago. It only costs 11 DOLLARS!!! As a 7’ mh that would be an interesting video challenge!!!!!
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
I mean this in a good way. Honestly. Even though sometimes your videos can be awkward (sure you do that on purpose), they are very enjoyable. Keep it up. Been with yah before you had the stach! :) And ain't going nowhere.
The "Ozark Trail" line of crankbaits from Wal Mart are actually pretty decent for the price. The hooks can sometimes be hit or miss but I usually replace hooks anyway. They can be found on sale for $1 sometimes.
I use jawbone all the time! Got a great deal on one of their baitcasters for $50. I take advantage of deals like the one you found all the time. For the price I don't think you can beat it.
I always think cheap lures will fall short with the cheap hooks and split rings they use.funny thing is if you put good hooks and oval split rings,it becomes more a midrange price lure.good vid much respect from NC
80% of all the sand bass I've caught over the last 5 summers have been with a $2 crankbait I got out of the bargain bin at Bass Pro. It's so effective I went back and bought 3 backups. I've named it "The Bass Killer". It's more effective than anything else in my box. You never know what they're gonna hit.
My dude, your videos are great so glad I subscribed. I like fishermen that I can relate too. Keep up the good work.... PS... More mini documentary's as well
I love jawbone. Not the best quality but they are 2 dollars. I bought a jawbone spinnerbait in sexy shad and I cought my pb. It was around 6 pounds. Jawbone will always have a special place in my heart.
Love the channel great video. I have bought some of your signature series swim baits about 6 packages different colors. I'm having a problem getting the baits to run without rolling over. I'm using just a standard jig head. Any advice on your baits?
Just found your channel. 🍻 You have my attention.....👀 I subscribed when I saw some of your Barred Rock flock casually strutting through the yard behind you. 👍 .....enjoying it so far..... 🐔
heads up on Jawbone, if they were listed at $3 they were not on sale. its the regular price. they are dick's generic brand stuff. though I will say the products are not that bad, specially if you are on a budget. I fish with them often.
Not all of them but for the most part you are correct. Some baits are expensive because they use better hooks better split rings and better paints. Some expensive soft plastics use different plastisol or scents or higher amounts of salt or are more intricate or hand poured. When buying bait you have to understand why it's more expensive if you cant pinpoint why its expensive then it's designed to catch you and not fish.
Got a few crankbait from em that work but got a lipless and wouldent swim at all I mean it just went strait no matter what speed... I have no clue how u can even do that
So what constitutes as a “cheap” lure? These sound awesome! (Granted, I also have years of experience with jewelry needle nose pliers so if I need to fix stuff, that’s as easy as it gets. 😏) the scariest lure I’ve seen recently is a spider that would fit in your hand. 🕷 😳
Always interested when you tested cheap lures , keep it up
Same because I am broke
I love bargain bin lures! 😍
Scumbag
@@realisticcrybabywhocanttak3624 somebody's on there period

I use a their spin caster combo it was $30 and in the past week I’ve caught about 20 bass on it. Super sensitive and durable, and of course cheap!!
Yeah, I agree
The casting rod is amazing its got a fast tip for a mh so I use it for crankbait and chatterbait
Kyle Turner I have a jawbone rod and even tho it’s 11 bucks it pairs good with the okuma statice 6
Connor Frantz I also have an Okuma stratus 6 and the gears on mine are really loud, is yours loud?
This is the way you show lure reviews just something short, little water footage, and thoughts. Well done

I bought that mouse but mine had a pink tail. I got blow ups on it just about every cast! I loved it, and one day I casted it into the sunset 😂
😂
The crayfish bait was called Yabby and was made by Megabait. River2Sea had a similar lure too.
That chicken walking around in the back like a gangsta
Try fishing the dam in wapakoneta Ohio 👍 I caught a 4 lb smallmouth on a tube there
The "Ozark Trail" line of crankbaits from Wal Mart are actually pretty decent for the price. The hooks can sometimes be hit or miss but I usually replace hooks anyway. They can be found on sale for $1 sometimes.
The ozark t mini crankbaits are awesome.and hey easier to hook a tree and loose it when its only a dollar or so.
Brian W some have eagle claw hooks
Interesting, maybe that is why I dont mind the hooks on some of them.
Agreed! I caught both my first smallie and my first largie on an orange ozark trail rattletrap!
When you held that crawl up I died laughing lol. The fact it has lures for arms also haha
Love your vids bean watching over 2 years

Try trimming one of the “legs” shorter than the other one on that popping frog and it should walk.
Chicken: " Can I be in your video 3:38?"
I thought I was the only one who noticed lol
Same lol 😂 since when does he have chickens!??!?

Damn bro you got the wallpaper I have not seen that in a dog's age. Not bad nice place
Those crawfish looked so interesting though... its a shame they don't work whatsoever. I totally would have bought one just on looks.

I picked up one of those crawfish a while ago and never could get a usable action out of the thing. I was starting to think it was just me...
I’d say keep these vids up Brendan!
that blue poppin frog was sick
For spinnerbait lovers some walmarts sell spectacular spinnerbaits for a dollar
When you realize Brendan has chickens after watching him for four years
😆
Jawbone is the Dick's store brand. I use a lot of their stuff
Based on my experience anything white or silver does the trick including a kitchen spoon.
lmaoo the chicken in the background
3:56 when a chiken interrupts your video
When you can't spell chicken
9:10 did you tangle your spool? XD
Sako it’s called a black lash or birds nest and yeah he did
I used the first lure (frog) you reviewed to get my PB (12.2oz).
Also, the crawfish design from Jawbone was in before River2Seas version.
A frog caught me a 17 pound bass in Florida
@@nicolas753 Florida is where all the biggins are. haha.
@@ballzybaits4414 yeah no kidding. Texas as well.
Why is everyone telling him something he said in the video??
Jawbone does make a pretty cool shrimp lure that I catch specs with

Dude, mice lures are super good for Pike. It’s actually kinda scary how pike will eat just about anything.... chickens!! Cute little chicky chickens!!
Under the water the bluegill looked like a real fish
hey Brendan, can you do a review on this lure? Storm WildEye Live, Size 2", Sunfish
Yes 👍
The jawbone craw is nothing like a R2S clackin crayfish.. its actually a knock off of the keith baker lures kra-bob.
3:37 the chicken on the right

I love jawbone tackle fishing lures
Love you bro.
Love your vids!!!!!
Expensive lures are designed to catch fishermen, always go cheap or diy lures.
Yum DINGERS perfect example lmaoo

You can feel it in the materials. Look at the Walmart spinners , compared to a blue fox
