There is a difference between being incorrect and deceiving. When your understanding changes, it’s good to correct it, but it isn’t purposeful deception.

I hadn’t thought about it before, but just as we have the opportunity to progress in mortality and we aren’t all at the same development level here, the idea that we experienced similar progression pre-mortally makes sense. Just as it does post-mortally.

In President Nelson’s October 2019 Conference talk to the sisters, “Spiritual Treasures “, he completely clarifies the particular topic of how priesthood power can operate in our lives as women.

I loved what you said about power and authority. I've never heard it explained in this way and it makes priesthood keys make so much more sense. I also appreciated your reminding us that Satan cannot replicate the feelings of hope, peace and joy. It's a good litmus test to use when seeking answers to prayers. Although I think he tries to deceive us using anticipation and fun instead of hope and joy.

I have another long comment for you lol. At the end of your video when you spoke of the return of the 10 tribes and seeing this event spiritually, I think thats definitely the way to view it. Here is why…. When I was making my way back into the church, there were quite a few false doctrines that I thought were true based on things I’d read and heard from others. Like a firey hell and stuff like that. The main one though was the watcher/fallen angel doctrine. That doctrine had me obsessed with finding out where biblical giants actually came from and if the explanation in the book of Enoch was true. And I couldn’t find any official stance from the church on this. So I devoured the scriptures looking for canonical evidence of where the giants came from and I allowed myself to be lead by the spirit. Not the words of men. I never found the evidence and eventually gave up. Then eventually I came across Jareds playlist about this and he provided the proof I needed that the doctrine was false. But the point is, the Lord knew I believed in false doctrine, but instead of showing me right away that I was wrong, he used my obsession with that false doctrine to lead me down a path where I picked up small bits and pieces of TRUTH. Here a little and there a little, until eventually I had so much true doctrine that I came to know and love, that the false doctrine didn’t matter anymore. THEN, he lead me to the truth about that doctrine. But he used that doctrine to get me to build a scriptural foundation. My point is, if your looking spiritually, with a desire to know the truth, it doesn’t matter if your right or wrong. The Lord knows your heart and he will help you find the truth in HIS time. But if your only looking temporally at something, you will miss the spiritual aspect, and the Lord cannot lead you to truth when your eyes are closed. This goes for all things in my opinion. God created all things spiritually FIRST. Seek to understand all things spiritually and eternally, then the temporal understanding will follow.

Thank you so much! Just before I found your channel, I came to the conclusion that there is progression through logically thinking about my children. As I prepared to share that view, I couldn't find authoritative evidence to support it. And last conference strongly suggested I was wrong. "We don't know" is an awesome answer of hope!

As I have learned and studied more, I’ve realized that there are many things that influence people’s choices and decisions in this life. Some are due to their own thinking, some are due to how and what they are taught or societal understandings, and some people don’t have the capacity, for many different reasons, to come to an understanding of doctrinal truths in mortality. I may be incorrect, but knowing that Heavenly Father loves all of His children deeply, I believe He will have a way for everyone to have the opportunity to learn the truth and accept it. He knows, even better than we do for ourselves, what has influenced us, and His mercy will abound. This doesn’t mean that everyone will attain the same glory. Think of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. This mortal life is the time to prepare, and where much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48).

28:30 You're are correct about the ministering of angels but let's clarify the difference between the authority given to the Aaronic priesthood and the gift given to baptized members. The priesthood of Aaron has the keys to the ministering of angels; it is a priesthood authority. The gift is manifested in our daily lives, as you so astutely stated. This goes back to the same concepts you were discussing at the beginning of the video between given the power of God and the authority of God. I'm sure many people have examples and experiences of ministering angels in their lives. I would also assume, that like me, they treat those experiences as sacred enough to keep private because of how amazing they are.

When it comes to progression and my thoughts on it… if we are given chances to repent and progress in the spirit world, then it would be unfair for people who pass away as we enter the millennium to not be given that same opportunity. Even people who only qualify to resurrect as a terrestrial being, because maybe they are not done repenting for everything. If they have it in their hearts to repent, why should their time be cut short simply because of the time period they were sent to earth? That being said, damnation has to come in somewhere. I think by the end of the millennium, everyone will have had their fair chance at repentance. Then when you are assigned a kingdom, that’s your eternal home and only the celestial beings will be able to progress forever. All other beings progression will cease. I believe the prophet and apostles probably do know this but won’t reveal it. Because if we know we have that much time then why struggle to live righteously in this life? The lord needs a people that he recognizes when he returns. If this were to be revealed, many people would become slothful, and if that happened then who would be here in the beginning of the millennium to do the lord’s work? Because theres going to be a LOT of it.
This is just my take on it. But I definitely might be wrong.

I have the same views as you and we discussed those same things as you mentioned! That we shouldn’t be slothful, but yet that God loves us and wants us to repent and turn to His son!

@@AnticipatingChristsreturn i appreciate the encouragement. I’m just a bit worried because I only returned to the church a little over a year ago. My knowledge of church history and words of the prophets is severely lacking, but I have a strange ability to view life through the lens of the scriptures, to the point where I’ve been approached after Sunday school multiple times by people who tell me how much my comments during the discussion helped them. Maybe I can focus my videos on helping others see life through the scriptures as well.

    Kaitlyn,
Actually, you were of the spirits to come in the last days of the Last Days before the Saviour returns to reign for 1,000 years. You are one of the best that Heavenly Father has. Remember the latter-day prophets have talked about how Heavenly Father has saved His best children to come who are the most valiant.
Those general authorities who spoke of us as children of God who will not progress after this life, do not understand the doctrine correctly. Those thoughts do not paralell with what the Prophet Joseph and all the prophets have said, that we can become just like Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. All we have to do is come to our own conclusion with common sense. If we are given the opportunity to become like Heavenly Father, we have to progress after this life, through the Millennium, and when we reach the Celestial Kingdom (Moses 1:39).

Hey, sorry I think you misunderstood what I was referring to… it was about people in this life who haven’t made the choice to follow Christ even though it was offered to them here, after they are resurrected if they will be able to progress… I hope that makes sense
