I like how he slowly adjusting to the laser as the series goes. From having headaches (somewhat) to getting used to it from Tag 2 onwards. May not be a big deal to some but it is the most subtle of things.
I like to think that its the difference between jin and kazuya jin only just awakened his devil powers and has 0 control over it cause its an alter ego kazuya awakened his long ago, and embraced his powers so he has full control over it
One of the little details that is neat is how until tt2 devil jins normal laser made devil jin stagger like he was lightheaded as if he had not good control of the laser but in tt2 and after devil jin no longer staggers meaning he mastered his powers

In Tekken5 DR, Deviljin got Obliteration move which was not in T5

In TT2, Devil Jin has a Tag Throw with Angel that also uses laser.
If I recall correctly, you can actually "aim" the laser back in T5DR
Ye, to catch sidesteps. Pretty sure it's the only game with that too.
You could aim the laser in all games up to Tekken 8

There is one. Morning Crow's 4 string in particular is similar to sidestep 2's string.

I always felt like laser should be one of the only moves that ignores combo reduction damage, in fact i always thought it should pierce through all
If Heihachi can come back in T8, Devil Jin can come back in T9
T5 and TT2 laser execution appear flawless
he also has a version of the laser that can be angled right or left to chatch side-steps
if recall he had it since T5.. not sure
T5/T6 is my favorite DVJ ❤
He had laser grab in tekken 5 dr I have tested it myself many times, it is same as kings throw but with right+left punch button
