We use Business Central and we love it. We started with NAV 2009 and have upgraded multiple times. No other solution would allow us to modify the software to the extent that we did to meet specific Quality and Industry standards. We continue to enhance the software to improve productivity and user satisfaction. I agree that customizations are a two edged sword, but in our case it was exactly what was needed. Without it, I am not sure we would have grown the business the way we have in the last 10 years.

Very informative. We are a Business Central partner and have found some companies that chose the wrong partner to implement the solution who disappeared from the market and abandoned them in the implementation process. We have had to reimplement the product and had to substitute the old partner´s IP with our certified and documented IP advanced processes. Fortunately we have been able to do this with a low impact effect for the customer, but many times they have the perception that the Business Central product is nor mature enough, but this is due to the fact that they did not make their homework and chose the cheaper implementation alternative.

Would you recommend D365 for manufacturing? We do Injection molding + assembly with high amount of different end products and a fairly simple supply chain

Thanks for this very informative video! The only thing where I (respectfully) disagree is about the resellers and implementers part. While it's true there are many indirect resellers or CSP partners, they have to work with larger, direct providers, that have been through a very thorough vetting process from Microsoft. Starting a couple of years ago, in fact, MS has been systematically reducing the number of direct providers, by asking them to conform to high standards in terms of revenue from cloud services, customer support capability, and so on. I think this is to contrast the rising number of not-so-great resellers that you mentioned.

Amazing!!! In the entire video only the face of the speaker and not even 10 seconds of the actual interface of the D365???

I like your talking style, its concise and informative and doesnt sound monotone. I can listen to your videos in the background while working.
Many of these CRM videos tend to talk a lot about 'integration' into an existing business, and the challenges of that. However, what about if your planning on creating a business right from scratch? I know that will come down to the 'type' of business of course, but I wondered if you reccomend any videos on that specifically?

    Hi Eric,
    good videos
I want to ask whether the SAP you mention is SAP S4 or Business one?
is BC comparable to SAP Business One or does F&O is more comparable to SAP B1?
    Thank you

I'm using Dynamics 365 and I feel like there are no basic reporting functions that up to par with the marketplace. When I speak to the VAR's, they've shared that GP is being sunsetted given that the development group has been sunsetted. I'm curious how I can convince to team to invest in the GP reporting / functionality given this is canned for other platforms.

I just join a company that happen to use this BC software and I find it a pain to use it. Example in my role I need to prepare quotations each with its own list of terms and condition (depending on what kind of job the quote is for). The "window" for me to type in my text is limited to certain number of text. So I cannot simply "cut and paste" from a draft which I already have. I have to instead "cut and paste" sentence by sentence which is tedious and time consuming. Why cant they create a "bigger window" (instead of a limited text window) where I can "cut and paste" the entire 20 lines of terms from my other draft copy and paste it onto it? This is indeed not user friendly. I understand we can get it change but we need to pay for it to be done. If given a choice I rather replace this software.

Very helpful thank you. We use Microsoft GP mainly Project Accounting and find it is not updated for years. Is Project Accounting much better with Business Central?

If you need project accounting, D365 F&O is the better option.

Can D365 Business Central be compared to Oracle Netsuite or SAP Bydesign? D365 price point is so much more competitive!

How on earth do you get into Dynamics 365 when you've signed up for a trial????

    • @510z2

Right there with you. Docker environment maybe? We need in depth tutorials on Business Central test environments for testing the front end end and developing AL projects on the back end. Ideally not going through a var but directly from Microsoft

Ms360 IA not as intuit and or flexible or in my opinion lacks a lot of things we used to have with salespad in my company. Ms36 lacks a lot of features and options that used to made a workflow quicker with salespad

From an accounting perspective, BC is awful. The initial training is limited and stressful and tasks that took a few minutes in other accounting software now take 10x as long. I'm convinced that nobody who created this ERP system had any experience in financial administration
This review is not helpful. The fact that customization is seen is an issue should be a red flag to anyone.

What you say about VAR's is not true. Microsoft has dramatically increased the requirements to become a VAR and to stay a VAR. There are fewer VAR's today than just 5 years ago because of it.

Alot of these software are created by people who are not from the "user" industry and thus they dont understand. They created one in which user have to suit them and not the other way around. Such software is "one size fits all" but unfortunately it doesnt!
