The “Girl you better not be dead” text breaks my heart. I lost my best friend in HS and found out she had passed after I wasn’t getting a reply from her all day and I texted “you didn’t die on me did you?” You feel so terrible for making a joke that, if your friend was alive, they would chuckle at, but they’re not.

My great friend and neighbor passed 5 weeks ago today. We were supposed to meet that morning for our usual morning walk. When he didn’t show up or answer calls, I texted him “ you alive over there”? When I hadn’t heard back from him still I called police for a wellness check and was told 4 hours later he had a heart attack the night before! When I found this out I felt horrible and then felt worse because of the text I sent!

A guy from my high school class murdered a trans girl i knew. This was a very small school in the countryside of Sweden. I did meet the girl at a big party where I left my friends to spend the night with her. She was life, she was brightness and darkness and swept me right away with her chaos. She was beautiful and kind, her name was Emilia Lundberg. This murder didnt get any recognition and was brushed under the rug because drugs was involved. HIS name was Andreas Andersson (his identity was protected and his name not mentioned by media). HE GOT 15 YEARS. He was 21 and got 15 years because of his age for the brutal murder of Emilia. She was found in the river going through the town, stabbed and beaten to death. I will always remember her, and the vile injustice of this case.

Honestly it's so fucking stupid how some cases and murderers get let off the hook because "They were under the influence!" "They were on drugs!" "They have mental issues!". Honestly I think the justice system needs a reboot because it's becoming a joke on how many people get let loose because of small things even after committing an undoable crime. I'm genuinely sorry for your loss xx.

I lived around the same area a few years back, Eddie's Dad actually tried to lure my little girl into the house, she was supposed to call at the house so eddies sister could play outside, when my daughter knocked on the door, the dad answered and told her that his daughter was not home yet, but if she wanted to, my daughter could come in and wait with him. My lil girl refused and walked off, a few moments later my daughter got a call from Eddie's sister, saying " i thought you was coming round?" She told my lil girl, that her dad is strange saying "he knew I was inside upstairs, why would he say that to you?" I was told this story today, as Eddie ratcliffes dad has now this week been found guilty of taking pictures of kids. I'm so relieved that my daughter walked off.

People with ASPD rarely actually kill, they just don't feel any empathy and have a sort of "emptiness" that makes them distant from everyone else in the world. From what I understood back in school, it's like 6% of the population who have this condition. While they by nature wouldn't feel anything if they did kill a person, they still would be able to recognize how it would effect them legally.
It could also be that they were so poorly raised that they became monsters due to their clearly horrid upbringings. Like... One kid was able to get their hands on drugs multiple times, while the other had a pedophile as a father. Not to mention both kids having multiple indications of some sort of neurodivergence on top of it all... Really, they could have any number of conditions.

Im leaning toward hate crime too but its honestly just as likely that she was simply an easier target being the reason they targeted her. Like if she had the same anxieties and awkwardness without being trans he (in that hypothetical of not being trans) would have been targeted just the same but I have never believed in the mentality that if someone is from a certain group and they're attacked that it becomes a hate crime by default, that mentality is turning it into more of a meme of a privileged class which is causing way more harm than good

    • @melon9755
      @melon9755 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +61

@@JohnDoe-og2bt I am completely aware of that as well. I know when any crime happens to someone considered a minority, it's automatically a hate crime. When in reality, the person that committed the crime probably wasn't thinking of the color of their skin, their gender etc. They were just looking for someone vulnerable, or alone. OR, they are two people with personal drama that went too far. I understand a person killing a trans person is not an automatic hate crime. It can be hard to determine where the line is drawn, and it's not so black and white.
Over all I feel like trans people could be more vulnerable to crimes by the nature of stigma and people disliking them. Especially depending on what country/area you live in.

@@JohnDoe-og2bt My gut says hate crime because every other person on that list, Eddie talked Scarlett down or got disinterested over. He didn't for Brianna. He encouraged it and the way he engaged with Scarlett about it said a very different story to the others. Brianna's trusting of Scarlett was preyed on for sure, she was vulnerable, so there's some complex elements in this that can't be put towards that. They would have hurt that Eric kid, but they let him go when he didn't take the bait. They never tried again. What made Brianna different? Because she didn't go meet them on one of the times. So what kept the fixation going? They tried THREE times and succeeded the third because Eddie hated Brianna's transness enough to not talk Scarlett down and Scarlett was jealous and stubborn to the idea of killing her. That's my take on it, it wasn't a big rage fuelled attack in the standard sense, but it was encouraged to some degree by both parties.
I agree though that it's more nuanced. It could have just been Scarlett couldn't get anyone else but Eddie's comments and calling her 'it' and all this, it just sits rotten. Idk.

@@maniaclaugh I genuinely want to give you honest input in regards to your worries and I hope you believe me that I have the best in mind for you and your family.
There are fundamentally two more things besides instilling kindness that you as a parent can do to help your child grow up with the strength to do the right things, no matter the peer pressure:
-avoid building any sort of resentment
-teach them mindfulness and meditation and see that they understand their capacity to hurt and harm and how to only do so in self-defense and when absolutely needed.
To not build resentment in your child, you yourself have to be grounded, emotionally healthy, aware of your own needs and how to get them met. You also need to see your children as the full humans they are, make them feel that their needs are just as important as anyone else's and give them as much autonomy and responsibility as they are able to handle and want to do so, as well as the circumstances allow.
If your child doesn't have a significant amount of frustration built up, then it won't have the need to lash out at someone weaker when given the chance.
Next up is to teach your child to be aware of how their words can hurt others and of how they physically can really hurt someone when they lose control. You'll have plenty of moments that present a good teaching opportunity in these regards.
A more advanced and incredibly valuable lesson is how to be mindful, especially of one's own motivations and regarding this issue, of the more primal impulses. Children and especially teenagers can meditate and it is THE way to become aware of one's impulses before they manifest. Just the practice of mindfulness and meditation itself will do the trick.
It's a bit of a cliche, but martial arts are usually great in many of these regards. Teach your child how to fight, so they never have to.
If your child is emotionally healthy and mindful of their impulses, then you can be assured that they'll withstand negative influences.

Then high school came, and she had to go to a different school, early college, and I stopped seeing her as much. Only in the summer for about 5 days of the summer. It gradually got less and less. And then in 2020 she texted me happy birthday and never talked to me again. She was never one to get back to your texts, it took her weeks to do so. I'd be sending stuff regularly and then randomly get one long paragraph reacting to everything I said since last time we spoke.
I haven't seen that person I considered my best friend since 2019. I wanted to be roommates and live together so we could see each other every day and help each other. But, that's not gonna happen. Now, I'm practically alone now that she left.
One of my other (ex) friends claimed I made her uncomfortable and she just stopped talking to me because of that. After, like, 6 years or so? Really? I don't trust this girl much cause she's such a victim and toxic person to talk to. We broke off completely and she blocked me because of some dumb stuff on facebook.
14:12 Omg, no, that would k*ll me if I said that and then found out....
14:56 I'm autistic and h*ll no. I'm always freaking out about this so much that I can't even completely focus on the conversation.
28:13 this is kinda me, lol. Not on a school night though, as I didn't get a license until I was 18. And I just have no friends to go out and do that with. But, I've done it myself. Once to just get a pack of cupcakes.

33:37 idk why you would take that....like I have no interest in getting high or anything, but I wouldn't take pills from just somebody. People can be horrible. I was bullied and had people mess with me by trying to act overly nice to me I mean I guess there may have been trust if they were pretty close, but still...
47:16 Funky town. I heard about it and these details. I've not watched it or seen anything from it (edit: I think I found a picture...), but sometimes I'm tempted to out of curiosity, but that stuff is super traumatizing. I've already seen two things, one popped up on my TH-cam page as a short and immediately started playing when I scrolled over it. But, the kitten thing I saw was the worst and messed me up for months. It's still with me now, but I'm better.
    47:57 Shuriken.
    48:21 that was barely censored...
55:22 I looked it up and into its content. I didn't see anything but some stuff about n*de paintings. But, if there are certain words and any kind of s*xual scenes then no I couldn't (PTSD reasons). And what about the R/SA stuff?
    1:01:05 gotcreamafed? What?
1:09:18 I'm, like, I just don't understand why she'd be okay with doing all of that. I get teenagers and peer pressure and the whole thing surrounding dr*gs may seem cool or interesting/fun...idk, but, I've never understood that at all. Like, them even suggesting that would make me not want to hang out with them at all.
1:23:55 oh, I thought you were gonna continue about the cat. But, also that would still be a crime even if it was true...like, dude....
1:31:43 I ate a whole 50mg sucker on accident. It was really the only time I got into that stuff and I only did because I was told it could help with anxiety. I made a bowl of soup after and after only eating a few bites, idk what happened. I all of a sudden was just in darkness with something burning my hand and everything slowly faded back in. My room was dark, but I had string lights on. It was pitch back and slowly came back into view. I was still holding my soup. That's what was burning my hand. I felt numb and weird, but wasn't sure what was happening. I was so confused. Then, leaning up against the wall, I noticed my heart was racing and my skin felt really hot. I went in the living room to tell my step-dad and he just told me to try to lay down and relax. I did, but kept going back and forth to him and my room because everytime I tried to relax in my room, I thought I was gonna d*e or something. I felt like I was gonna explode.
He told me to wake up my mom if it was that bad. So, I did. My mom was half asleep when I woke her and took a minute to realize what I did. She told me I wasn't gonna d*e and I asked her if she was sure. She sat with me in the living room on the couch. I could feel my pulse pounding and my veins felt like they were going to pop. It hurt so bad. I was burning up and my heart was racing super fast. I knew that couldn't be good for how long it was racing for. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. My mouth and throat was dry and burning up too. Drinking water made me feel super sick and since I was numb in my mouth and throat, I almost kept choking. I thought I was biting my tongue at one point and was scared I was gonna accidentally bite it off. Everytime I managed to fall asleep, I was jolted back awake. I woke up once and I swear I had a glob of slobber come out of my mouth onto the couch, but there was nothing there when I checked.
This whole night was horrible. I wanted to go to the hospital, but they kept saying they couldn't take me, and they wouldn't be able to do anything. I just had to wait it out. I genuinely have never thought I was gonna d*e like I did that night....
1:34:11 it's stuff like this that makes me never want to step outside again. Not only is that foul, as you said, but would send me into a panic attack due to ptsd, plus just obviously the whole act itself and how gross and vile that is.
1:35:06 wow, that is such a sad excuse...like, if that were even true anyway, they make Depends for a reason dude.

And because of my social anxiety disorder I congratulate myself on small accomplishments like taking the bus and getting out of the house so I can understand how her taking the bus alone to meet up with some friends was an accomplishment her mom was probably proud of but it lead to her life ending so tragically.

for Eddie he's the true Transphobe. Most of the Transphobia is from Eddie's genuine beliefs. For Scarlet she seems to purely want a target to kill. So she larps as one to lure in a murderous bigot, but surprise the bigot was too weak so Scarlet, being the evil witch she is, finishes the job for him. Evil goes beyond even identity as she even wanted to kill the rest of her friends she deems "weak", and even her care takers.

I always learn new details about a case through their videos, that were not discussed/covered in other yt videos, on the same case! It must take a lot of passion and patience, to be able to research your cases so thoroughly, simply because you want people to really get a sense for who the victims in these cases were as individuals, not just their names, faces, or being victims of such horrible crimes. Thank you, RT, for all of your hard work, research, and all that you put into these videos. No one deserves to be treated for who they are. But respect comes from both ways. I know a few transwomen who are aware they're biological males and don't go into women spaces. This I respect and I really think that's the main problem people have with trans, many don't understand boundaries. I believe if we can be who we are without affecting other people, no one would be bothered and we can all live in harmony. Although there will always be bad apples on either side.
