It is a nice vehicle from the outside but the inside it is not organized and clean. It all looks like it was just thrown in. The cabin is not clean and organized either, everything is just lying around. I only know it clean and tidy. Maybe that's a spleen of the Germans. Best regards
Great video! That Ladder 3 is an ice rescue/swift water rescue company, I didn't see any equipment on the truck for these incidents unless they cross staff with another apparatus?
Great video as always. Noticed a nozzle on top of the right side of the rig. Is this something new? Is FDNY going to use ladder companies as an aerial water tower or are they only back ups if a tower ladder isn’t available?
Quick question for you Sir, Mr.Skyler fire!!! You answered my question before about why the FDNY/The House,Rrun 3 truck on the ladder anymore. My question for you tonight is why doesn’t 3 TRUCK NOT run the “RECON” BADGE on the front bumper anymore? THKS.
Two questions Skyler. How many runs does Ladder 3 do a year? Second how come the FDNY do not have ladder overhang from the cab on their ladders Does this add length to the chassis?
The bodies have been getting longer over the years to carry more equipment. The newer generation rearmounts have longer cabs so the overhang disappeared completely.
Wdym not all ladder members are required to be CFR-D, isn’t CFR-D a standard certification for all probies at the academy? In that case what happens if you work on a ladder but get detailed to an engine and they go on an EMS run , dosent really seem to make sense
As a probie yes but once you get assigned to a ladder company or a battalion aide it’s not required. Only 3 firefighters are required to be CFRD on an engine company to be inservice. You can keep the cert up if on a ladder company also tho. Everyone would want to keep the cert up because you get paid to be CFRD, ladder companies don’t respond to ems calls anymore but might be coming back
@@SkylerFire I thought the engine got payed more because they went on EMS runs, so your saying you can work on a truck and be a CFR-D but not actually go on EMS runs since your on truck yet your still getting the extra EMS pay engine gets? The way I always heard it was engine gets payed more because they do EMS runs and that’s that.
Good Question🤔 I Believe the relatively new Squad 8 does have the chevrons and I recently saw a video of recently delivered new FDNY tiller with chevrons. But I've wondered the same thing you stated in your comment. I'm sure Skyler or someone else with knowledge of FDNY apparatus will let followers know.
Change has always been hard for them. Right now they would rather have the diamond plate wear surface with nothing on it. Likely cheaper to buy which is what gets looked at.
This is 3 Truck and we're still heading up. Nice looking rig brother.
Thx bro
Another great day for a Fleet Friday. Always a treat to see a 2024 Seagrave! Thanks Skyler

Nice job Skyler. Beautiful rig! Stay warm my friend!!!
nice to see Seagrave Ladders back in the FDNY
Thanks for another cool Fleet Friday video Skyler! It's amazing all of the various equipment that they manage to make fit into the compartments!
It’s a tight fit
Thanks for another great video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
Great video of a magnificent piece of apparatus.
Yeah she’s a beauty!
Siempre espero esto un recorrido completo de estas bellezas de camiones saludos
Hello Skyler. Sharp looking rig. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Nice looking piece of apparatus, great job as always Skyler
Thanks
Beautiful rig
It is.
Great video thanks stay well
fantastic informative vid Skyler, since it's hunting season think i will need to order one to use as a deerstand....😁
great video thank you
You’re welcome!
Great video as always … audio was jacked up at times because of the wind and street noise
Yes the wind was crazy!
Wow! Beautiful Seagrave! Thanks so much for sharing! Skyler! What means the helmet number 8808?
That’s his badge number
@@SkylerFire Thanks so much Skyler

@@SkylerFire Indeed
Nice
Cool video as always. How do the Firefighters like the Seagrave compared to the Ferrara ladder trucks ?
Better
Great video! That Ladder 3 is an ice rescue/swift water rescue company, I didn't see any equipment on the truck for these incidents unless they cross staff with another apparatus?
In bags
Cool video. Do all the members have their own scba masks?
Yes they do
How do you get them to get the ladder out for you?
Secret
Great video as always. Noticed a nozzle on top of the right side of the rig. Is this something new? Is FDNY going to use ladder companies as an aerial water tower or are they only back ups if a tower ladder isn’t available?
Yes it mounts to the aerial if needed. Not new. Some old generations had them mounted on the cab roof.
Can we get a tower next fleet Friday ?
I thought it was a Seagrave patriot ❗️❗️

The company has to buy the stickers
Do the members prefer the new seagrave sticks or Ferrara sticks?
@@Ifyoufeelawaysmd they don’t have a choice.
Nice rig! Does FDNY ever run mutual aid to... like, West NY or Hoboken, Jersey City, etc. or are they restricted to the city.
Has to be really big…. And it takes awhile to call
Any time frame on haz-mat 1 and the second piece, rescue-1 and a big marine boat?
Hazmat 2nd piece is in a spare
Rescue 1 is in spare gonna be for months
Marine Unit idk there is a lawsuit going on with that so it might not happen
is that a air filter on the drivers side rear window
Yep that's the air intake for the engine.
Great video! Beautiful rig! You forgot to show officer's side of cab. Oops
Yeah I filmed it but forgot to put it in
Why does the ladder have nozzles and a hydrant wrench?
@@stevewolf9211 winter ops they have to be able to stretch a hose line…. The hose is kept under the aerial

Approx. 3500-4000, approx. 500 fires & 60 All Hands and above.

Do you know the overall length.
@@DavidParks-u7l In 2006 they were over 37ft. I don't have a spec sheet for the newest designs.

Can’t please everyone
No more RECON ?
They just got the rig 3 days prior they are responsible for doing it and paying for it

So do these trucks have the ability to pump water up to the ladder 🪜 or do they need a engine to assist
No pump or waterway. They have a nozzle and some hose to put on the aerial but still need an engine to feed water to them.
Engine feeds them.
