KTM | Rescuing Ekspres Rakyat Timuran at Gua Musang (4K)

Train 26 - Ekspres Rakyat Timuran was stranded ahead of Gua Musang, Kelantan due to locomotive failure on a weekend in June 2022.
This video highlights the rescue of the stranded train using the locomotive of the Ekspres Kembara JNK II chartered train on which I was travelling.
For a railway enthusiast, this is a great insight into standard and special operations by skilled railwaymen whenever an incident like this happens.

Nice video, i tought KTM East Coast railway line using DMU class 61, recently i spotted DMU at Mentakab Station. Btw nice KTM class 25 loco.

DMU are only used for shuttle trains between gemas and kualalips and also kuala lipis to tumpat the locomotives handle the long distance/charatered trains

Greetings from Singapore . . . used to ride KTM from Tanjong Pagar to Segamat / Gua Musang in the late 90s. Much prefer the look of the old fashioned workhorse steel locos vs the brightly colored new ones that look very out of place in the kampung. 😅

the railfan in me couldn't agree more but as someone who use this line as a necessity to get to these kampungs, no thanks. the sooner they get rid of this junk (or just keep it for special novelty ride), the better for us.

Beautiful video nd gorgeous scenery, but ur explaining of what's happening etc, is frustrating. Ur subtitles disappear so quickly, that we don't get the full story. I haven't read halfway nd the words r gone. Very frustrating.

Splendid vlog on board the JNK special chartered train, Vivek!
FYI that's me at 5:05 - standing at the door of the ERT26's T5 coach while recording the opposite train - in this case it's the Kembara II JNK Special Express 1010up to Wakaf Bharu. Sorry if I couldn't wave you back, even though i waved at Abang Johari Salleh and Abang Dzul Jaafar at the back of the train. When my train stopped at the loopline I was able to get down from the train with assistance from a JNK train passenger and sneaked into the Cafe coach of the JNK train. Managed to meet Pocik and his team on board and had a quick selfie before touring the chillax, event and sleeper coaches for a while.
Was looking for my fellow trainspotter friend Uncle Amarasiri as well as a female FB friend and trip participant from Bagan Serai, Perak but time is precious (ERT26's gonna depart soon) so i decided to hop off the JNK train and return to the train where I'm supposed to be in. I arrived Wakaf Bharu at 1926hrs and returned back South to Kluang at 2130hrs by ERT27.
Anyways, looking forward to meet you in the JNK III Special Express to Hat Yai in the future!
