Hello! We are so excited to see you at our upcoming Pride Celebration!
We highly encourage you to register for one of our Accessible Viewing Areas, using the link below.
Here are a few things that you should know:
At the Parade there are three accessible seating areas:
The most popular Is located at the start of our parade route at 14th St NW & T St NW, across from our Announcement Stand and in front of Crate and Barrel. The entrance to the accessible viewing area is marked with a way-finding tower that says: “Accessible Viewing.” ASL Interpreters are also provided here.
We also have a designated area located at Scott Circle NW, which is about the mid-point of the parade route. This area located near a park, is nicely shaded, and provides a good vantage point of the parade. This specific section does not require a wristband or registration to access it.
And finally, there will be availability in DuPont circle across from the Main Stage. Please keep in mind that this area is densely crowded and may be difficult to navigate or to see the interpreters, which are located opposite of the viewing area.
If you need to navigate along the inside of the parade route, or on the inside of the bike rack, you may do so. However, for safety reasons, you will need to do so with a Capital Pride volunteer escort.
For the Festival, our only accessible seating area is located at the Capital Stage. This entrance is located along the sidewalk starting at 4th St NW & Pennsylvania Ave NW, and is also marked with a way-finding tower. The entrance to the accessible viewing area is located along the sidewalk just before the VIP entrance, and to your left; you will need a wristband to access this area. The Monument Stage, located at Constitution Ave NW, is a smaller stage and has no dedicated accessible viewing area. Its general admission and open to the public. Both the Capital Stage and Monument Stages both have sign language interpreters and the Capital Stage has dedicated accessible viewing section.
Again, we highly encourage you to register ahead of time. Of course, you may do so during the Parade and Festival Days, in person. If you'd like to bring your friends, you may also do so. If they've not registered, it is important for them to arrive with you so they receive their wristbands.
    Peace, Love, Revolution!
