Thanks for a another year of great racing Dave. All the best to you and your's at Christmas, and i hope next year goes well. ps when that damn fuel monster rears it's head, smack it
Always different. Always the same! Nords never gets old ...and neither does Dave! It's so satisfying to watch a car be driven so well around such a complex ring of tarmac! Love the Liv - shame we didn't see more of Tam's magic, but the director was obviously otherwise engaged! But, really... perfect job with the editing (didn't I say that yesterday?!) and beautiful driving, give the man a mile-stone!
I don't mind you not talking but the commentary is alway on point. However there are 3 things you say that fill me with dread, these are, "at least we haven't died yet" this instigated a 60 second window where you will nearly crash, followed by "is everyone alright?", next is "I'm only here for the safety rating" where carnage ensues and again folowed buy...."Is everyone alright?" and finally, the all time death knell of comments is...."I'm not going to get scrappy" Where i grab a cup of tea wait with baited breath for you to do the exact opposite. Excellent channel, fantastic content and great commentary. Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year Dave
Thank you for posting this Dave my first week on b class and never raced here before it’s been a tough week to say the least but I’ve got my lap times down about 15 seconds from the beginning of the week some work to do but watching this will definitely help keep up the great work sir!
Good job bro! My advice is to definitely start from pits and let the idiots in those lower splits wreck out by end of L1 then pick up those spots and your pace.
@@F80mthree appreciate it I’ve been playing off and on for 10 years just mainly oval stuff just started getting into the road side of things last season just did a race today and I decided to qualify started p2 finished p2 with 3 8:30 lap times not fast but consistent at least
You shouldn't need to do that kind of mental gymnastics to get your fuel in these sorts of races, just head over to the crewchief forums and read the post I put up today about how to get the most out of Jimbo's maths skills. I've been crossing the line with 2L to spare all week at this combo no matter if I'm fuel saving or not, he's got me sorted. With my more risky safety margins, I was getting the pit window opening on lap 2 and Jimbo was telling me who I'd be coming out behind (I recorded a pit benchmark). The iRacing autofuel almost always gets it wrong at the nords (and multi class).
This GT-3 at Nurburg has been an absolute blast this whole week, really enjoyed it. Also good editing, didnt really notice it, and its nothing like doing software troubleshooting going 270 km/h 0.2seconds behind a bmw!
Couple of tips Dave: cars ahead of you seem to get closer on the slower sections of the track, so maybe the secret to gain on other cars is to drive more slowly? Also on camera you turn the wheel left to go right and vice-versa. Are you sure it's set up properly? Seriously now, if you hadn't mentioned OBS crashing during the intro and the race I wouldn't have noticed anything. Top job!
Great race!! I want to tell you thanks for pointing out this amazing car. I have really enjoyed driving it these past few days. The mustang is becoming one of my favorites to drive. Not sure when and where I became able to drive it, but I'm really enjoying it.
Very good driving Dave, I tried this same combo this week, although the car wasn’t the fastest, it was really fun to drive. I messed the fuel and put 12 liters more, lost a couple of positions unfortunately. I used the iRacing setup anyway, it wasn’t that bad.
This week, I spent a long time driving the Mustang in Sprint races. I really enjoyed the feel of the Mustang, though the hood bulge sometimes made it hard to spot the apex. Still, it's a very fun car to drive. On the other hand, I faced a lot of issues during endurance races. As soon as the race started, I got a CPU warning, which had never happened before. I had to turn off my plugins and further lower my graphics settings. Maybe iRacing is hinting that it's time for a PC upgrade.
that was a very clean race on your part Dave!. Some real jokers in that race it seemed.. shame to see other drivers get their races binned for the brainless actions of others.. such is the way of the simrace! Cheers!
I attempted this earlier today, went into a wall about 2mins in..6.30 tow back to pits, then 16mins repairs, safe to say it was race over😂might try again tomorrow
Hi Dave, love your videos, I watch them every day. May I request something, I understand it a question of taste, it would be great to have a tiny map on the screen. I don't know every track and sometimes it's difficult to know if you're in the middle or at the end of that lap. Thanks and cheers from Brazil.
No need to apologize for your technical difficulties. The way you edited everything as seamless as you did, I don't think anyone would have known if you didn't say anything.
All that barking from Sorensen about people needing to get out of his way the entire race and the man didn't even have it together enough to fuel it to the end. I love the people that think just because they have a little more pace they're entitled to positions they haven't earned yet.
Honestly Dave, it's much better without all those overlays that clutter up the screen. I don't know how useful it is to you while driving, but as a viewer, the pedal/steering inputs, leaderboard etc. are simply a distraction to me.
Flawless transition between replay and live recording
and impressive... tech support while overtaking at 270kph - hope you don't do that kind of shit in real life Dave :)
Dave casually fixing a problem on another computer while in the middle of a race and overtaking. Certified Legend Dave 😂
Thanks for a another year of great racing Dave.
All the best to you and your's at Christmas, and i hope next year goes well.
ps when that damn fuel monster rears it's head, smack it
Thank you mate. Merry Christmas 😁
Great editing Dave. If you hadn't have mentioned it I wouldn't have even noticed!
It was a pain finding the exact frame 🤣
Hope you have a lovely Christmas Dave!
Truly a one man operation, doing cam work and overtaking at the same time.. impressive!! Nice race Dave 😍

Have to say, the switch between OBS and the replay was absolutely seamless Dave. Never even noticed it the first time.

Haha, thank you mate. Have a great Christmas buddy 😁

I took your advice. Video using the crew chief to fuel soon 😁
What do you mean mental gymnastics? It was basic math😂 good advice tho
@davecamyt Thank you. I've always avoided these races for this very reason. How easy is it to get Jim to give me fuel advice?
@@davecamyt oh boy, now I'm on the hook 😅
The iRacing autofuel works great now too

Great Race and Video, thanks Dave and merry Christmas @all...
Merry Christmas mate 😁
Great drive Dave. Rely enjoyed watching. Great battle with Daniel, same care. but he was no slouch. Nice one.

Love your videos and race craft Dave! Happy holidays from the United States
Seasons greetings buddy 😁

Great pace great race , multi tasking at its finest , fixing your PC while overtaking
That was stellar Dave. Your Mustang was on rails. Cheers mate.
I love the sound of this car especially around the nords

I’m always amazed at how effortless you make this hobby look. What wheelbase settings do you use in RaceHub and in IRacing?
Been waiting for this one! Loving it as always mate!
Nice drive, Dave. I enjoyed watching that.
Great Video again Dave. Glad I saw you on track at the Glen today! (Even though it was just practice)
Yes I did a later race 😁
@ those supercars Are fun, though I always Spin in the Boot.
Great race Dave, love the burger ring.
Awesome race Dave merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and Julie
Merry Christmas mate 😁
Of course I crack a joke in Ollie's chat and didn't realize you just posted this 😆
The iRacing version of nords looks so smooth. The ACC version makes your car feel and sound like it’s going to fall apart
Thanks for recommending Grid and Go. Just joined in!
Awesome 😁

Seamless, what a pro 😂I wouldn't of even noticed if you hadn't said anything
I prefer to think of it as the 'new car smell' that boosts their performance and appeal.
I cannot disable "auto blip" even though I select "none" 😞"v8 supercar Gen 3"..
You might need to set your clutch as a random button. 👍
Dave, Do you have a video of ffb settings and iRacing settings? Would love to see what you like to run for your favorite cars.
Love the video!!!
Did they really do an 8:04 on the opening lap? Madness, like 10s quicker than my PB lol :(
It´s good, when you get Top 10 result at the Nords.
The mustang is quite good to drive here.
No need to apologize for your technical difficulties. The way you edited everything as seamless as you did, I don't think anyone would have known if you didn't say anything.
Thank you, appreciate it 😁
never start anything with windows. I have a little batch file, a .bat file, and it starts everything for iracing.
Do you have any plans to run any endurance races this season? Would be fun for you to livestream it with us!
I'm planning on doing the Daytona 24 👍
V8 the only way to heaven 🇸🇪
Nice race. Was your setup that slow in a straight line or did you wreck over some curbs?
Think I had slightly more wing 😁
17:09 you would have to be doing 7M48 seconds ( under 8 minutes for six laps )
it was like overtaking in a Luton ...
All that barking from Sorensen about people needing to get out of his way the entire race and the man didn't even have it together enough to fuel it to the end. I love the people that think just because they have a little more pace they're entitled to positions they haven't earned yet.
setup mabey not optimized for straightine speed and the other mustang went less down force
32 seconds ago.. basically a member
Hi Dave, any particular reason why you didn’t qualify?
I didn't have a great deal of time the day I raced and qual at the Nords is separate from the race session. Not enough hours in the day sometimes 😁
Honestly Dave, it's much better without all those overlays that clutter up the screen. I don't know how useful it is to you while driving, but as a viewer, the pedal/steering inputs, leaderboard etc. are simply a distraction to me.
I literally use it all (apart from the inputs) 👍
I like seeing the inputs. I learn so much just watching good drivers.
I really appreciate the telemetry
Cant stand people that act like that Benedikt guy, gets frustrated he cant pass because of his own skill and decides to take it out on others.
First 😂
Back of the net 😁
I'd rather you not talk much while trying to put in the best effort than talk a lot and half-arse the racing performance
