To be honest, after releasing 3 of my favourite albums, this guys could put a 30 min album thats just a fuckn' ambulance siren, and i'd give it 10/10. I´m weak for the Lilingtons.
@@freeassange8864 the same way they injected geek culture into pop punk in Death By Television & did it really well, they injected dark, thematic mythology into pop punk & did it well. It's definitely a big departure, but the old sound was getting stale. Probably not for everyone, but pretty revelatory for me at least.
All I can say is thank you Kody and company. I didn't expect you reinventing The Lillingtons. This is unique and I feel so lucky to have that little band in my life. Kody, you are my favorite songwriter ever and this might be your best work to date.
Blown away by the performance in Detroit last night. From a teenage punk band singing about ape men on the moon to an inspiration to the future of punk rock. Didn't think it was possible, but this album just went leaps ahead of anything put out by TBR.
Been listening to Lillingtons for a long time and they just continue to get better and continue to blow me away. I have had this album playing almost non stop. The energy and quality of the instruments and recording is amazing. They have come a long way.
Absolutely love it... Incredible production values, and an evolution beyond pop punk born of the Ramones to now show nods to The Cars, 80's hair metal, and the band The Church. Driving, Atmospheric, Spooky, Engrossing, and catchy. Feels like a complete work, like Pink Floyd or Muse. I'm completely blown away. When I saw you play a month or so ago, I had no idea this was what you had up your sleeve when I was head banging to "Rubber Room". Have listened 4 times already. Phenomenal work, Kody and crew!
I feel the same way. I usually don't care for new stuff old bands come out with. This blew my mind, lyrics, ambience, guitars, bass. Its The Lillingtons but they've really evolved to an incredible stage.
The band's definitely matured with time. It's not really the same band that has composed Lillington High, the one I fell in love with, but it's still a good one. Best of luck to your new beginnings, guys, and thanks for sharing the album for free.
You guys are absolutely crushing it! I just discovered The Lillingtons and TBR like 5 months ago and I dont think I've listened to anything else since then. Was rocking out to you guys to amp me up before some National Championship races at Daytona International Speedway late October 2017 and ended up winning my first two Expert National Championships. Thought you guys might like to read how your music has helped me out. Now please make some moar!!! I cant get enough lol.
I'm obsessed too...the best puk rock album of the year,my opinion...it's a shame that new geration guys in these days listening stuff like Bring me the Horizon,Hollywood Undead or other...Thanx God It's Monday :D & Thanx for NoFx,Bad Religion,Good Riddance,Teenage Bottlerockets,Strung Out,The Lillingtons,Bouncing Souls,Pennywise and many many others :D
well after a week of listening to this album every day multiple times a day i can officially say this is not only my favorite lillingtons album, but my straight up favorite album of all time from any band.
I love the ambient vibe in this... to me it hits like early albums from The Cure (on some tracks). It's got that wet reverb goodness. That's about where it ends though. Then the vocals kick in and yeah.. The Lillingtons. This album kicks ass.
I'm not gonna lie, the beginning of Golden Dawn/Knights Templar I actually thought Fat Wreck sent me the wrong album then BAM! No this isn't the OLD Lillingtons from the past and that's fine, because it fucking rocks!
This is honestly so good. They matured yet it sounds so Lillingtons. How the tracks flow is also perfect, so much that I really think it has something of a concept album vibe thing.
This is a great record and feels like it's a classic even though it's relatively newish. The atmosphere from the vocals and more sparse approach do a lot for the sound.
Best punk rock album of the year, this the Lillingtons, then Rancid's Trouble Maker, and then Nofx's First Ditch Effort, then Green Day's new album.. Good year for punk rock I think. 2018 should be as good! Can't wait for Pennywise new album this year.
Just recently got familiar with this band via my buddies at youtube who also likes to play some covers. This is a good find, great album. Got to listen more ,these guys albums
I thought that "Death by Televison" is a cool album but this album is more dynamic not so noise. Coooool album! Now I think I must order it on CD, the reason is CD have more dynamic on my speakers then this VB9 compression thing. In god we trust on this band!
Giving it a second listen, but my initial reaction was that I preferred the Project 313 ep overall, which sounds more like Teenage Bottlerocket than older Lillingtons, lyrically at least - minus Ray. Instrumentally, Stella Sapiente is my new favorite Lillingtons album. I tend to prefer the overall lyrical content of the earlier albums, but as long as these guys don't go emo or too mainstream, I'm happy.
Some songs sounds like the extract from the video game Castlevania 90´s hahahaha.. but im so really surprised with this Album great and awsome songs... :D, Saludos from Mexico

ahahahhahah thats fucking true
Fabio Pérez 🎖🎖🎖
This album is nuts; definitely going to be seen as a classic record in time.

@Dan Evertt sorry

Absolutely brilliant, haunting and precise
The Lillingtons are one of those bands that you can listen to without skipping tracks. Always loved that about them.
This is amazing. It definitely the Lillingtons, but it feels like they've progressed a lot on the past decade.
Great production too!
ajohnson9630 I wish I was a girl
You do you boo
ajohnson9630 like WTF man this is to much

absolute perfection, my ears are forever in your debt. Love this, thank you!

You have no idea how much this will mean to those guys!! (speaking as the wife of one of them)

Guitar tone reminds me of The Cure too.
just over a week out and it's already my album of the year
Cure, as well as The Police!
This is an absolute masterpiece! Drawing Down the Star... speechless.
I can't stop listening to this album on repeat, simply amazing!
Same here
OK I thought Death by Television was my favorite Lillingtons album but this is on the list now too haha nice job...again & again...😉

The Smithingtons, LillingTrio, absolutely fantastic, Kody has a very very special voice!

Very emotional, powerful, nostalgic and innovative. Saludos desde Bolivia, Lillingtons Rules!

LULBAT oh yeah, I'm obsessed with this album
I'm obsessed too...the best puk rock album of the year,my opinion...it's a shame that new geration guys in these days listening stuff like Bring me the Horizon,Hollywood Undead or other...Thanx God It's Monday :D & Thanx for NoFx,Bad Religion,Good Riddance,Teenage Bottlerockets,Strung Out,The Lillingtons,Bouncing Souls,Pennywise and many many others :D
So good. This is... stellar.
well after a week of listening to this album every day multiple times a day i can officially say this is not only my favorite lillingtons album, but my straight up favorite album of all time from any band.
Agreed.
+1
3 years later i still blast this everyday
update still jam this everyday
Just pure magic. It sounds like Bad Religion, Misfits and Joy Division together.
Great way to describe Stella. 3 years now and it's still in my daily rotation.
@@DamianLoved Lol same. I snagged it upon release and loved it ever since.
Where is Bad Religión?
pareceu mesmo.. escutei alguns discos antigos deles.. tinha uma pegada ramones também.. muito bom mesmo..
Well said, so well!
this is incredible, anyone else getting a horror/sci-fi feel to this or it just me and I love the 80 pop vibe tracks
im getting that feel, just like every other lillingtons album though
Horror sci-fi? This is occult, masonic mystery school shit. Their other albums were sic-fi. This all has to do with the occult and freemasonry
I've had this shit on blast for weeks. Incredible! I love the evolution!
"I saw weird stuff in this 'record' last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff! And I want in."
I love the ambient vibe in this... to me it hits like early albums from The Cure (on some tracks). It's got that wet reverb goodness. That's about where it ends though. Then the vocals kick in and yeah.. The Lillingtons. This album kicks ass.
Future pressings of this should have Pyramids as a bonus track. That song would fit in seamlessly with these.
Agreed 100%
I thought that. It should've been the main track along with insect nightmares
Goosebumps worthy.
Keep coming back to this because it makes me sad in the happiest way, I guess
24:21 : Take on me
I'm not gonna lie, the beginning of Golden Dawn/Knights Templar I actually thought Fat Wreck sent me the wrong album then BAM! No this isn't the OLD Lillingtons from the past and that's fine, because it fucking rocks!
10/10 perfect album. Best thing I've heard in years.
This is honestly so good. They matured yet it sounds so Lillingtons. How the tracks flow is also perfect, so much that I really think it has something of a concept album vibe thing.
Stumbled on this. .LOVE IT!
I have been waiting for this day. just listening to the first song and I can tell I already love this album
new Lillingtons, new Prop, new Iron Chic.. just need the new Banner Pilot to drop what a time to be alive
new Banner Pilot and Dead to Me would be the icing on the cake

Can't wait for Pennywise is new album... And isn't Left Over Crack coming out with a new album?
This album opened my third eye wide.

Five years later n its just as great as ever
I wasn't sure of this album when I first listened to it, but I definitely love it now! The Lillingtons are back!
Extremely well-written. Great album. Kody is the man.
Welcome to the dark side. I love the new vibe. Night Visions is AMAZING!!!!
This is a great record and feels like it's a classic even though it's relatively newish. The atmosphere from the vocals and more sparse approach do a lot for the sound.
Love it!
Horror pop punk at its finest. Just bought the LP.......makes me want to watch hp lovecraft films all through the night.
I jammed these guys since 2006, just found out the got signed to wreck. Bad ass!
Best punk rock album of the year, this the Lillingtons, then Rancid's Trouble Maker, and then Nofx's First Ditch Effort, then Green Day's new album.. Good year for punk rock I think. 2018 should be as good! Can't wait for Pennywise new album this year.
Gets better with years
I bought the CD last week,Very very cool stuff...tecnically perfect!!!!personal sound, not the usual punk rock

Black Metal pop punk! Amazing. Kody Tempelman is the man 🖤
dude... Never heard em before... and that is SPOT ON! cheers!
I thought that "Death by Televison" is a cool album but this album is more dynamic not so noise. Coooool album! Now I think I must order it on CD, the reason is CD have more dynamic on my speakers then this VB9 compression thing. In god we trust on this band!

Stella Sapiente = WISE STAR
Daniel Wilson
a.k.a Satan
I wish they’d release the lyrics.
Yes. My neck will hurt for the next 3 days.

So far it kind of reminds me of Crusades. Not a bad thing, at all.
This album is awesome
Una hermosura de album
Cult of Dagon
thanks
This album is fkn killer!!!
This album is good and i like the sound.............but it's not the Backchannel Broadcast nothing can compare.
No joke !!!

To be 100% clear, this and the most recent Teenage Bottlerocket are the two best punk albums to come out over the last year.
♥♥♥
Fuck Yeah
1:52 fuckin goosebumps!
Muito bom.
Add.
Some songs sounds like the extract from the video game Castlevania 90´s hahahaha.. but im so really surprised with this Album great and awsome songs... :D, Saludos from Mexico
