The NPK series specifically. They made big block twin turbo cars carry a lot of extra weight prompting racers like Birdman and Larry Larson to try huge single turbos. Unfortunately neither was able to match their prior performance levels.

Not sure how “no prep” this race really was. It didn’t look like the track was scraped before the race. There was a lot of rubber down which was a huge advantage to the higher HP cars.
Dan Myers it was noprepish. NHRA wouldn’t let the event take place at that sanctioned track without prep being put down from 330’ and out. But it was applied only once in the morning and not touched the remainder of each day.
It was scraped thurs and when funny car went down it had about a inch of dust all on starting line. The street would have been better. No one was making down lots of close calls, boostedgt was one of the fastest first passes of the weekend

Cool racing, and Street Outlaws is a fun show, and I have loved and participated in drag racing my entire life, but to attach the word street to any of it should embarrass the participants. It is a disgrace to use the word street for many of the so called street classes. No prep is overused also.
All of those numbers are for paying customers who sit in the risers / bleachers. They can see them. The camera man is not facing the score board, so that's why you don't see it. Cameras at the finish line cost money. Respective times are on the score board.
Jeff lutz or Larry Larson bird man chief & Ryan out of every one you can count on them being top of the pack fast every race week to week they show up and play for keeps and yes lots of the guys in the group are wicked fast but I feel like these guys have a reputation with the guys you never wana draw lutz chief Ryan none of them they don’t drag race they load race cars on trailers with embarrassment and pride leaking from victims lol my guys all the 405 are good end of story hell if your on tv you can be or are fast

Who seen the race between birdmans promod turbo car vs stevie jackson stock wheelbase nitrous mustang?? Stevie took him out !! He also took them out at a rvw race including the fireball camaro with Jamie miller tuning it..

In grudge racing and N/T racing there is only a win light. At this track it’s the white bulbs on the pole of the scoreboards
